  1. 2024 is the final hope for the Jets with Aaron. He only has a $17M hit. 2025 he has a $51.5M hit followed by a void year $35M hit in 2026. Jets have 10 other players with void year hits coming this year and in 2025. It's all in for them this season and if they end up with only 8 or 9 wins the draft won't help them either. UFA this March will be interesting in players both coming and going.
  2. I was myopic and forgot their #4. I agree with the KC thing.
  3. I wouldn't restructure him again. You watch how many fans on this board will want to do that. I'm not sure what Beane decides on this issue, I give it a 50/50 shot on one more restructure.
  4. I agree Beane needs to go for the new WR1 this year. I don't agree with Diggs sticking around for the end of his contract. His cost (before they restructure probably one more time) is $28.4M in 2026. Current dead cap that year is $13.4M. Could be gone that year. NO WAY he is playing for $22M+ in 2027 when he is 34 years old with a $4.5M dead cap.
  5. Here is the full WR free agent list from Spotrac. 75 players. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/all/wide-receiver/all/
  6. Come on, just keep doing what the New Orleans Saints have been doing. You know that team who has missed the playoffs 3 straight years (in a weak division) and the same team that has won 1 playoff game in the last 5 years! It's brilliant.
  7. Wouldn't mind you pinning this for a bit for guests and visitors (some fans who I'd like to invite to this board), so they see the good in it. Just a thought.
  8. I don't know what will happen this offseason. I started a thread about it. I'm just a fan with my feelings. It's always tough when you are the one who has to make the decisions. I'll watch what happens, give my opinion and watch the games next season. I've been doing that for a long, long, long time. While I would have been fine with that, I admit I wasn't one of you guys "pounding the table" for it. After seeing the way the season ended with the WR situation, I'm thinking I was wrong.
  9. Davis, Sherfield and Harty were not the answers. Have to reload at get the right WRs this year.
  10. First off, thanks for being open to my opinion, even if you see it differently. Diggs is still a deep threat, just not the "type" WR I'm talking about. I will admit there was a time when I thought Davis could fill that role, but it never materialized. We (at least most) Bills fans want 2 new outside WRs this coming season. I already said what I think one should be, the other is a speedy guy with separation skills. Maybe we can compromise on that! LOL.
  11. After the Chiefs game I gave "amnesty" to ALL ignored posters on my list. I can see you will be back on it soon. For every "Texans" quick turnaround there are a dozen teams that don't. I do remember posts of yours, very recently, touted teams like the Chargers being so much better run and coached that the Bills. How did that work out for you? Go and post on the fish boards. You are a troll.
  12. I will get my Korean girlfriend to do just that.
  13. I don't disregard the worth of a WR who has good separation skills. I do disagree with the 1 or 2 jump ball catches 40 yards down field. I'm not talking about a high dollar 1,000-yard guy per year needed here. But nothing will change my mind that of the 4 WRs playing on gameday that having this option is not needed. No one, even Josh, knows how that could benefit the team. He has never had one. The Bills have the separation guy in Diggs. Shakir can still develop what he is good at, and Kincaid can get a ball but will never have the speed needed to stretch the field they way that is needed.
  14. With Josh Allen as QB it should be close to, if not leading the league, in those plays. A great running game would set that up.
  15. I just posted in the presser thread the following. Josh Allen deserves the chance to show what he can do with a big "go up and get it" WR. He has never had one of those types. It should be priority #1.
  16. Whether Diggs still is a #1 WR is not the question. Josh Allen deserves to show what he can do with a big "go up and get it" WR. He has never had one of those in Buffalo. It needs to be priority #1 in this fan's wish list.
  17. Josh has taken a number of deep shots while Brady has been OC. The bad news is they haven't connected on many. The run success sets up the deep passes. Need a deep threat WR IMO.
  18. Just wanted to say thanks for all that replied. Some good options were presented. My brain (and heart) need a bit of a break from Bills football but it's less than 8 weeks before important decisions will have to be made by Beane. It's going to be an interesting spring.
  19. Re-signing the guys you want and getting the upgrades cost $. Bills don't have any, so it has to come from restructuring ALL the big player contracts. I just don't know if that is the right thing to do this offseason.
  20. Definitely could go the way you say. Restructuring Allen, Diggs, Milano, Knox, McGovern and Von Miller IS staying the course. I was just thinking out loud about the alternatives.
  21. I didn't want to get into the numbers, but Diggs and Von would HAVE to be post June cuts. Diggs could be traded and the Bills eat a lot of $. Knox has to redo his contract. Splitting that big dead cap over 2 years can be done. It's a fans question that I asked, it would take some big balls by Beane to try it.
  22. If that is true, then why not do a decent sized re-tool this off season? That's the question I've asked myself in my OP. I just don't know.
  23. "Might". Maybe not. The counterargument about Josh and his prime is simple. Will tweaking be enough? They just happen to be talking about it on GMFB right now. It's a tough question that Beane (if he is truthful) has to ask himself. That's all I'm saying.
  24. Sure. I guess my question is, how much? Just using Von as an example. Do you keep him or bite the bullet and move on?
  25. When I asked the question to you guys, I personally thought Dawkins stays. I included his name for general purposes. Overall comment: I am a little shocked that a lot of the responses are in some form accepting of the idea. Like @SCBillscommented, it might NOT be a throw away year. It might be the change needed for Josh (and the remaining) vets to get a new sense of purpose.
