  1. Bates, in his 5 years in Buffalo had 1436 snaps and only 203 at Center. I personally never understood how fans had him as a Mitch Morse replacement level player at the Center position. He performed decently but the coaches know more about what his effectiveness would be at Center better than me. Beane hopefully takes a couple of these Day 3 picks and get a true college center that can take over when Morse hangs them up.
  2. In what world is it a good idea for a guy like Tyreek Hill to even agree to participate in a thing like this? He is not a smart man.
  3. Best explanation of the Douglas situation that I have read so far. Thank you. I would add that if anything, Beane probably had a long term $ number in mind for the extension BUT after Douglas's play that number may have gone up significantly. If it has it means his trade value (3rd and 5th) has gone up or at least remains the same. This talk of Beane cutting him is insane. If Beane thinks he may have to deal off Douglas, he may have multiple teams interested. It didn't take me long to look at this year's 3rd round early picks to see a team like the Cardinals needing a vet CB. Dealing pick #91 and getting back an early 3rd round pick is a net plus. It will be interesting to see what ultimately happens.
  4. Spotrac has them at -$37.5M after the McGovern restructure and the increase in cap space.
  5. Knox cost $2.6M in 2022 and $6.3M in 2023 in cap hits. This season his $14.3M is more than his worth BUT if Beane wants to move on from him next year he has a $7.8M dead cap hit. It's not as bad as people make it out to be. I don't see him on the team after 2024 unless he really tears it up.
  6. The Bills were way over $51M after they made the void year moves going to Dead Cap. Those players had to be replaced with others to get back to the 51 players. That is where the discrepancy comes from.
  7. The New Orleans Saints do not have a good football team. They are in a weak division and haven't made the playoffs since Brees left (3 years). They are 25-26 in the last 3 years (in that weak division) and should have totally reset in 2021. You reap what you sow. I still laugh when fans think their "blueprint" is in any way worth emulating.
  8. KC has done a good job with the cap but don't let these current numbers hide what is in front of them. They have some big $ guys on UFA right now. Jones, Sneed, Danna and Gay to name a few. If those guys were under contract the numbers would be drastically different. KC did a mini-reset the year they let Hill go and got in a good cap situation while still dressing a good team. I'm in the group thinking the Bills need to reset this year.
  9. I tend to agree with your points. Although, I am an adult (actually becoming an old man). This "gun violence" is here to stay and there is nothing much that can be done about it in today's world. I will say that the destruction of gun violence doesn't end with the victim. At an event like this (and these crazy school shootings) causes a lot of parents to try to explain to young kids WHY it has to be the way it is. I know I wouldn't want to be in that situation. I'll take it a step further and say I'm glad I didn't have to go through something like that when I was a child. Gun violence, road rage, crippling addiction, sexual abuse, among all the other destructive traits, are too prevalent in today's world. I'll admit I feel a little sad that I have become numb to it all.
  10. Agree. It almost amounts to the pay cut being a "prove your still worth elite money" deal. I think Tre would take it and not feel bad about it.
  11. 2024 is the final hope for the Jets with Aaron. He only has a $17M hit. 2025 he has a $51.5M hit followed by a void year $35M hit in 2026. Jets have 10 other players with void year hits coming this year and in 2025. It's all in for them this season and if they end up with only 8 or 9 wins the draft won't help them either. UFA this March will be interesting in players both coming and going.
  12. I was myopic and forgot their #4. I agree with the KC thing.
  13. I wouldn't restructure him again. You watch how many fans on this board will want to do that. I'm not sure what Beane decides on this issue, I give it a 50/50 shot on one more restructure.
  14. I agree Beane needs to go for the new WR1 this year. I don't agree with Diggs sticking around for the end of his contract. His cost (before they restructure probably one more time) is $28.4M in 2026. Current dead cap that year is $13.4M. Could be gone that year. NO WAY he is playing for $22M+ in 2027 when he is 34 years old with a $4.5M dead cap.
  15. Here is the full WR free agent list from Spotrac. 75 players. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/all/wide-receiver/all/
  16. Come on, just keep doing what the New Orleans Saints have been doing. You know that team who has missed the playoffs 3 straight years (in a weak division) and the same team that has won 1 playoff game in the last 5 years! It's brilliant.
  17. Wouldn't mind you pinning this for a bit for guests and visitors (some fans who I'd like to invite to this board), so they see the good in it. Just a thought.
  18. I don't know what will happen this offseason. I started a thread about it. I'm just a fan with my feelings. It's always tough when you are the one who has to make the decisions. I'll watch what happens, give my opinion and watch the games next season. I've been doing that for a long, long, long time. While I would have been fine with that, I admit I wasn't one of you guys "pounding the table" for it. After seeing the way the season ended with the WR situation, I'm thinking I was wrong.
  19. Davis, Sherfield and Harty were not the answers. Have to reload at get the right WRs this year.
  20. First off, thanks for being open to my opinion, even if you see it differently. Diggs is still a deep threat, just not the "type" WR I'm talking about. I will admit there was a time when I thought Davis could fill that role, but it never materialized. We (at least most) Bills fans want 2 new outside WRs this coming season. I already said what I think one should be, the other is a speedy guy with separation skills. Maybe we can compromise on that! LOL.
  21. After the Chiefs game I gave "amnesty" to ALL ignored posters on my list. I can see you will be back on it soon. For every "Texans" quick turnaround there are a dozen teams that don't. I do remember posts of yours, very recently, touted teams like the Chargers being so much better run and coached that the Bills. How did that work out for you? Go and post on the fish boards. You are a troll.
  22. I will get my Korean girlfriend to do just that.
  23. I don't disregard the worth of a WR who has good separation skills. I do disagree with the 1 or 2 jump ball catches 40 yards down field. I'm not talking about a high dollar 1,000-yard guy per year needed here. But nothing will change my mind that of the 4 WRs playing on gameday that having this option is not needed. No one, even Josh, knows how that could benefit the team. He has never had one. The Bills have the separation guy in Diggs. Shakir can still develop what he is good at, and Kincaid can get a ball but will never have the speed needed to stretch the field they way that is needed.
  24. With Josh Allen as QB it should be close to, if not leading the league, in those plays. A great running game would set that up.
  25. I just posted in the presser thread the following. Josh Allen deserves the chance to show what he can do with a big "go up and get it" WR. He has never had one of those types. It should be priority #1.
