True at the time of signing for Allen, BUT it was caused by the Covid impact on the cap.

I'm of the belief that both Josh and Beane are fine with things the way they are for at least 2 years. Josh is signed through the 2028 season. 2026 is the year for an extension.

I remember last year during camp and preseason liking what I saw from Bryan Thompson. He may end up as PS WR #1.

Bills sign Keon Coleman to his rookie deal

Beane has $7.5M in cap space according to Spotrac. $4M for PS and $3.5M for the season. I wouldn't expect any bigger signings. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/_/year/2024 -

Brandon Beane’s Tenure by Letter Grade—Poll is Up!

There are not options for other grades. I give Beane a B+ (haven't won the Superbowl). Same with McDermott. -
I'm getting closer to my home.

Do think Beane will make any trades before week 1?

GO BILLS. -
Not a lock but I believe it will be heavily discussed. I see 3 RBs plus Gilliam and the 4th on PS. Extra DB is also a possibility, I agree.

Curtis Samuel is number 34 on WR AAV list. When you consider all the #1 WRs still on rookie contracts that puts him nearer the 2nd half of WR 2 pay. $8M is not a lot and I'm betting he will be worth it playing with Josh. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/contracts/_/position/wr/sort/average/dir/desc

Is it just me, or do some arguments here drag on ad nauseam?
ColoradoBills replied to Nephilim17's topic in The Stadium Wall
When a couple of posters go head-to-head over a topic and both know they will never change the others point of view, it's foolish to keep it going thread after thread after thread. Let it go. -
Agree. But one thing I have been considering is IF the Bills keep 6 WRs (and I think so) keeping Hollins for ST means he dresses every Sunday. Good chance the 6th WR may not dress every week. I'm not sure if McDermott and Beane would demand that the 6th be good at STs. He may be kept for WR duties in case of injury to any of the top 4.

I don't see MVS being traded but if they did, they save half of his cap hit. $1.125M. -
Happy Birthday Kim!

I agree. It seems the young guys will have to beat out Collins for tackle slots. I'm not too sure what La'el has left to offer. Might be better to take the chance with the younger guys. Between Center and OL depth it makes the group one of the more interesting ones to watch this summer.

Tough deal for Tommy Doyle. I guess this gives Tylan Grable's chances a bit of a boost.

What to do with the post June $10 M that will be available
ColoradoBills replied to Magox's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yep, Beane is always looking. If something looks too good to pass on, he can make the moves you mentioned. -
Beane doesn't need to make a decision about Cook until March of 2026. Nobody knows what the Bills cap situation will be then. All this speculation about Cook and Davis is so premature. Bills fans should enjoy having Cook as RB for the next 2 years and look forward to what Davis can bring to the team. In a perfect world (IMO) Cook tears it up the next 2 seasons and leads the league. Davis plays great too. Cook moves on with a huge contract and Beane gets a 3rd round comp. Davis takes over and then 3rd rounder continues the process.

Couldn't Haack it. Matt released.

Martin has a cap hit of $2.05M cap hit with only $800k in dead money. If they let Martin go for Browning, they save $400k in cap. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/12447/sam-martin -

You're right, no rush to spend the little Beane has left. All rookies are signed except Coleman who will cost about $1.1M off the top 51. That leaves Beane with about $8.3M. Minus $4M for PS and the rest for the 53 plus any IR players to start the season. It really doesn't leave much left. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/_/year/2024 -
