  1. It's tough with these RB contracts. Some of these guys move to another team and it doesn't work out and they don't even make the end of the contract. Seems to me, Cook can make the whole contract in Buffalo. We should find out next spring.
  2. I'm guessing Von's agent's call would go straight to Beanes voicemail. They are not redoing his contract over this. All this talk about this 1 sack is crazy. Von needs to be preparing for his old team the Broncos.
  3. I never heard that. He has said he is interested in becoming an NFL GM. As for the Bills and Von's agent sitting down this week and redoing a contract agreement over a 1 sack incentive...........I doubt it.
  4. I did the math using both draft pick value charts. I will use the new Rich Hill trade value chart as my example since that is the new standard. IF the difference between winning and losing makes the NE Patriots go from the 1st to the 5th pick the hypothetical results are as follows: Going from the 1st to the 5th in EACH ROUND (Not just the 1st) equates to a Draft Value of 563 POINTS. If you take every pick in the 15th position from Round 1 through Round 7 (Miami's position) the total Draft Value is 540 POINTS. That is more than an entire team's draft, that is Picks 15, 47, 79, 116, 153, 191 and 231 in VALUE. It is a big deal.
  5. Miller gets the clicks and the news which is part of my point. There are a whole lot of "incentives" on the line. If Knox doesn't play the majority of this next game, he misses on $. If fans are curious about incentives for the WHOLE team, here they are. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/incentives
  6. How about Von giving DaQuan some help? Jones needs 1/2 sack to get his $250k sack incentive. Let's make sure Taron Johnson plays all game; he only needs 1 more INT for his $250k. Same goes for Taylor Rapp, he needs 1 more. There are other Bills close to incentives too. I'm not ragging on Miller; his job is to get sacks in the playoffs. He could have easily got his extra $1.5M if he didn't get suspended. Heck, if Von gets 3 sacks he gets an extra $3.5M. I mean where does it stop with him, his incentives go up to 15. I want Von tearing it up in the playoffs. I could care less about a meaningless end of season game. So should he, IMO. I'm personally hoping Sam Martin can get one more punt inside the 20. He gets another $100k if he does.
  7. He was hired by the Bills to be a game closer in the playoffs. He also wanted to be on 3 different Superbowl teams.
  8. Yes, it's only proper. In another thread I posted he has made $45k+ per snap as a Buffalo Bill. He doesn't need the other $1.5M IMO.
  9. Yes, Bills usually good with incentives but the Von thing may be different. He's making $45M on the Bills for less than 1,000 snaps. You don't need to be a mathematician to see that's over $45k a snap. He should sit himself down and get playoff ready IMO.
  10. GMFB brought up Von Miller's sack incentives. If Von plays and gets 1 sack he makes another $1.5M over the $2.5M he has already secured with 5 sacks. I wonder if he plays or sits.
  11. The D-Line will need to step up and perform above their current expectations. The DEs have to set the edge, contain the running QBs and get pressure. We have seen them able to do that at times, but it's going to be critical they bring it in the playoffs. The DTs, well Oliver, Jones and the rest have to get mean. I don't see that from them. They need to anchor this D. It all will start and end with them. Von Miller has to contribute, and he needs to get these guys fired up by example. It's the least he can do for this team. Show us some spark!
  12. Nobody knows more that the D has to play well in the playoffs than the coaches and D players themselves. The key is to turn around the problem that has plagued this D all season. They have to get more 3rd down stops. Period.
  13. I have no idea. I guess my point is IF it does come off it must be a good sign on his recovery progress.
  14. He is trending very good. He still isn't 100% or he wouldn't still be wearing the brace. I'm hoping that can come off in the playoffs.
  15. I feel pretty confident that Beane can work out retaining pretty much the entire offense from this year. The $8M+ savings from Von alone will go a long way to sign Hollins, Johnson, Gilliam, Morris, Anderson and Van Demark. That brings back everyone but Cooper.
  16. The Bills offense is very unique as others have pointed out. I for one can agree about a lack of "elite" players. However, this group seems different to offenses of the past. Playoffs can come down to a couple of plays per game. We had hoped that players like Diggs would rise up to the occasion. That didn't work out as planned. It would not surprise me that the "stars" in the playoffs this year can come from any one of these guys. The D just needs to hang in there long enough to give the O the chance to show us what they can really do. I'm looking forward to seeing how all this plays out.
  17. I'm wondering about that. Maybe they just go with Trubisky and if something bad happens they use their disaster QB. Knox or someone else can take the snaps. It might be better to use that slot for someone who plays the full game. FWIW.
  18. Evidently the OL is involved in this too. It's a wonderful strategy. With that in mind, Josh and by extension the entire team knows the regular season's goal is to get into the playoffs. BUT the ultimate goal is success in the playoffs. I am totally convinced that a lot of plays that worked during the season have not been overused and are being saved for appropriate times that are coming. Josh has confirmed this. I will wait to see what Brady has in store for the playoffs. I'm thinking it could be very special.
  19. The question is, how many and which starters will be on the inactive list? ALL of the depth players have to be active. Once the coaches determine that, they can look at the remaining players and decide who best to elevate from the PS.
  20. All of the Jets woes is just amplified with Sam Darnold saying, "How do you like me now!".
