  1. $2M this year and $3.25M next year. Just for accuracy sake. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/21743/mitchell-trubisky
  2. Early game starts at 11:00am Mountain Time. Wings and munchies for halftime and my homemade Beef on Weck after. My traditional 1st game menu.
  3. Trubisky in a lock for the roster. Right now, it's DiNucci to the PS. If White (or others) want a path to the backup role it goes through the PS.
  4. Good post, but I'll add my thoughts. I'll start with the TEs. Kincaid and Knox are obvious. The thing is all 3 of the others have an argument for making the team. Totally agree about McKitty. Lots of fans don't know his skillset. Whatever happens to Morris, McKitty and Davidson, there will be a lot of grief posted here. IMO Beane needs to keep 2 of the 3 and hope the other makes it to the PS. Not only for this year but because of the uncertainty of the Knox contract going forward. If it's 4 on the 53 or one going to start the season on IR it's a pretty big decision in my mind. I'm very interested in what happens and I hope I'm not disappointed in the end. I'll admit I am surprisingly impressed with Gore. But I don't think he will be signed if cut and he is definitely in the running for PS. It just seems to me that his skillset is a subset of Davis. Ty Johnson is a JAG player but one that has a little of both Cook and Davis skills. That's why I think he is RB3. Shavers has played well with Josh this camp. Preseason has hindered all the bubble players because of QB play. The TD miss IMO was on BOTH DiNucci and Shavers. It's MVS, Shavers and Hamler fighting for 2 spots. MVS is making the team, but I like the idea of IRing him for 4 weeks to start the season. Get him totally healthy and familiar with the system. Use that time to decide between Shavers and Hamler. I really like the rest of your evaluations.
  5. Beane cannot wait until the end of September to bring in a kicker for the PS. With the situation concerning Bass, Beane should be able to convince any agent/kicker that signing to the PS give him a real chance to make a team. That needs to be the incentive to get the best available kicker to sign to the Bills PS right after cutdown. Big fan of Beane but this has been a mistake all offseason. Note: Bass's contract is high, but the terms do not make for him uncuttable, especially if it's a younger player.
  6. I did. Signed up for YouTube TV too. I'll check it out. I too will be able to do the student thing again through a friend whose son is starting college next year. It's a whole lot more money than I want to spend BUT..................it's worth it to watch all the games for the Bills first Super Bowl victory season!
  7. It's a tough choice. I personally think they keep 10 OL. If only 9 it's IMO the starting 5 plus Anderson, Van der Mark, VPG and Grable. If it's 10 than it comes down to Clapp or Collins. Collins entire $1.5M would be dead money, Clapp is $287k. If they keep 10 and it's close they go with Collins. Another Center would not be needed. Beane and the money vs the cap is not the main reason BUT it will be considered.
  8. He's guaranteed $2.25M. $1.35M dead money this year with $900K next year. I don't think they thought that was intent to cut contract. The way I see it, he makes the 53 or a slight chance they IR him to start the season. IMO. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/25275/marquez-valdes-scantling
  9. If Beane and McDermott play the IR stuff straight up I agree with everything. I missed Spector in my OP. That seems probable. It seems to me that there has been at least one "questionable" IR player "stashed" in the past. I'm wondering if that happens again.
  10. LOL. I don't see MVS being cut. But I do see a chance he could start on IR.
  11. LOL. That makes more sense.
  12. Thanks, but my thinking is if released and the replacements don't work out OR injuries. Those guys could be valuable. There could also be a "stashed" player similar to what Beane has done in the past. I like Morris a lot, but if he's banged up some you can move him to IR and give Davidson a decent shot for a few games. Make the final decision later. True, but my thinking is more about expanding the roster. Morris could be waived/injured but my thinking is to keep him on IR for the minimum time at least.
  13. I'm trying to guess what they do with IR'd players come Tuesday. The new rules give you 2 to go to IR without any cuts being made. I think Beane and McDermott will send at least 3 to IR with a Ferguson type "parking lot" cut and sign. Beane has enough money to do that if he doesn't get rid of too many higher dead money vets. Could he go with 4? I'm not sure. Milano Spector? MVS (saves the dead money and gives time for the WR stuff to settle down for a few games) Morris? Maybe if his injury is bad enough. Is there a DB move to be made? A DL move? I don't see Trubisky going. If he not available for Week 1 they can elevate DiNucci from the PS for the game. I think this is key to who the final 53 Tuesday night end up being. Moving some of these guys for a 4-week minimum gives them some wiggle room to see what they really got with some of these younger players. It also gives time to see who does clear to get to the PS.
  14. I'm okay with it too. It's the PS RB. I think Evans right now brings a little more.
  15. Evans got a hamstring today. If it's bad enough then FGJ may make the PS for a while.
  16. Lots of bad talk about Collins BUT he did look pretty good today to me. Agree that they deep 10-OL, with 6-WR, 3-TE, 4-RB/FB and 2-QB. Who are the 5 and 6 WRs and 3rd TE (if Morris is hurt enough for IR) are my only questions. I'm going wild with Shavers and Hamlin as 5th and 6th with MVS going to start the season on IR.
  17. Harty looked good. Punting is not too bad. The worry is kicking and kickoffs.
  18. Hardy? If he makes it as a returner. Unless they keep him as NCB depth, then Cam is gone.
  19. I liked Bass a lot, but even I knew they should have brought in camp competition right after the draft. Heck, I wanted Beane to draft a punter or kicker with his 7th rounder this year. I am a huge Beane and McDermott supporter but I don't like almost everything that has been happening with the Special Teams. That's from Smiley on down.
  20. Everyone loves a Cinderella story.
  21. Good. I got 15 other streaming TV services with never an issue on any of them. I'm going to call YouTube Monday is it continues.
  22. I got YouTube TV and the NFL package a few days ago. I'll see the quality of the feed. I will admit that I have had some buffering issues with the normal YouTube TV which I don't like. None of my other streaming services buffer at all.
  23. Like everyone else, hoping for no injuries and some of the depth guys looking good. The passing game ought to be "interesting" to say the least.
