  1. "I don't want to be the coke bottle top", "I want to be the piece of glass".
  2. That too. I guess I feel that the Bills (with Josh Allen) can win any game they play. How the 17 regular season games unfold has yet to be written. It's a lot more fun watching games than it was a decade ago!
  3. Shaw, IMO there is nothing wrong at all about not having a preconceived notion of how the season will go. There are way too many examples of how teams have exceeded or fell short of expectation almost every year throughout the NFL history. Fans can look back at the Bills 2023 season and come up with all kinds of opinions. Truth is with a few "bounces" one way or the other, the Bills could have easily missed the playoffs OR ended up 14-3. It's the nature of the game in the NFL. Personally, I try to go into every season not listening to "predictions and prognostications". It makes it more fun and gives me the opportunity to look at the games like we did when we were kids at the "rockpile". I'm going to sit back and go along for the ride leaving it up to Josh and the boys to give us some good entertainment! Here is hoping for the season we all want! Go Bills!
  4. 3 preseason games and one was extremely wind at Highmark Stadium. Just saying.
  5. It's not a huge thing IMO. Here is an article about it. https://www.reuters.com/sports/nfl-adjusts-rule-address-cheat-motion-2024-08-01/ August 1 - The NFL has adjusted the rulebook for 2024 to hinder so-called "speed motion" -- "cheat motion" to its detractors, NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk reported Thursday. The pre-snap technique showed up in the NFL last season, with offensive players who are in motion gathering their momentum by leaning toward the line of scrimmage just before the snap.
  6. I don't know how many wins they get this year. I for one will be watching all the games to find out!
  7. It's not the official Bills depth chart but I use this one from time to time. They d a good job keeping it up to date. https://www.ourlads.com/nfldepthcharts/depthchart/BUF
  8. and Gouraige, a collegiate teammate of starting right guard O'Cyrus Torrence, has developed nicely at the swing tackle position. He only surrendered two pressures on 47 pass-blocking snaps this preseason. I had no idea that Gouraige played that well during the preseason.
  9. I tend to agree. Leslie Frazier was the DC from day one. He had 6 seasons as DC and I for one thought he was good at his job BUT just about any Bills fan knows he was a bit too cautious in play calling, especially in the playoffs. He wasn't "fired", and I bet Frazier was OK with how it was handled. McD took over last year and no doubt made it known to the other D coaches that the DC job was going to be up for grabs this season. He hired Babich and had him decide when he could start calling the defense. They agreed the time is now. Some fans can try all they want to find something sinister about this but it's only people who think and do things like that's spreading this stuff.
  10. Blue Horseshoe loves Anacott Steel.
  11. One thing for sure, for every 1st round bust who never really amounted to much, there are guys on the other end who have exceeded expectations and go on to good NFL careers. It's just math.
  12. LOL. An anonymous post to counter the crazy Jets expectations gets everyone riled up. Could be true, then again maybe not. Bottom line is this. NO ONE KNOWS HOW AARON RODGERS WILL PLAY THIS YEAR. Watch the games and find out.
  13. Even after the Aiyuk signing they have some money left. It would be smart to sign Purdy now instead of waiting another year. UNLESS they think anyone can run that offense then Purdy will get a little pissed and look for another team after next year. Decisions, decisions.
  14. 32 teams didn't think he was good enough for the PS. The point remains the same. There are a lot of young players good enough for the NFL not on teams.
  15. Cain will be on the short lost to come back if necessary. PS is looking good.
  16. Congratulations Bobby! Hope you do well and help us get to the promised land.
  17. Good post. There will still be fans who believe there is some hug gap between all the teams 49th-53rd roster players and the PS guys. It's illogical to me. Especially as you posted about all the new rules since the pandemic.
  18. Here you go @DrDawkinstein
  19. FWIW, Spotrac has Jonathan already on the IP Exemption list. Currently with 15 on Bills PS. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/_/year/2024
  20. The Practice Squad is an expansion of the 53-player roster. If the roster was allowing 55, 2 of the PS players would be on the main roster. The bubble players on the PS are in essence no different than the last couple of players to make the squad. I see no reason to lessen their importance.
  21. I don't know about Eliza Doolittle, but I grew up with the "Louie Effect". A swift kick in the a$$ always made me do my best.
  22. Spotrac just put up the Bills PS numbers. $4.23M. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/_/year/2024
  23. I'm satisfied with the PS with the exception of signing a PK. Lots of eggs in the BASSket. Just want to comment on where Beane is with $s. Spotrac has it $4.1M with all contracts (not top 51). That just covers the PS. He should get a million or more back once he does some IR injury settlements with guys they don't want to keep on IR. It's pretty tight right now. As the season goes on, he may have to dip into that Josh Allen reserve. Now we know why that hasn't been done yet.
  24. I don't think so this year. They got a pretty tough schedule. I don't see them over .500.
