You know that last bit of data makes me think there is a change of thought at OBD. There is some mounting evidence that this is indeed a new era for the team. Seems to be a change in a lot of the old "Beane and McDermott" methods. Running more. Pass distributions. Coleman (a rookie) with a lion share of reps and targets. Lots of younger players instead of old "used up" vets. Even things such as only 2 captains, seem there is a concerted effort to try something different. The only thing I still don't like is the special teams. I'll say it again, they need to keep things simple. Don't try to win on special teams, just make sure you don't lose because of them.

Big name orchestra playing snippets of all the NFL music over the decades. Network theme music, NFL Films music, "Alcoa fantastic finishes and you make the call" starting music. All this while the big screen shows plays and scenes accordingly. Maybe have female and male dancers dressed in all the NFL uniform colors. Celebrate football at its biggest show.

Currently the weather is showing rain in the afternoon all the way until game time. Clouds with rain should cool the stadium down vs having it blazing sun all afternoon. Game time temperature of 84 degrees. Hot and muggy no doubt but the players should be okay.

So true about the penalties. 1st games can get sloppy so let's hope they get a handle on the OL penalties. NFL players have been playing football since peewee. They know the rules. It's mostly on them. The only real retribution coaches have is benching players who are penalized too much and that seldom happens.

They seemed to hold Samuel back some due to the toe. Hope he is 100% for Thursday. We saw some of what the Bills O was doing with Curtis in camp. Lining him up all over the place and a lot of motion with the O. I'm expecting more of that on Thursday if he's healthy. Right now, they got Cook (who played well as the RB1), Johnson (who blocks well) and Davis (who we are hoping he can eventually do both). I'm liking the RB room.

Absolutely. It's going to be interesting to see how this progresses. As for JA running. We all hold our breathe every time he runs but that's just who he is. He's all in, all the time.

Let's see how things progress with specific game planning. Something I thought Dorsey didn't do at all. Miami has tape on Coleman, Shakir and Cook. Maybe that gives Kincaid, Samuel and Davis an initial leg up for Thursday.

First game as DC for Babich and a lot of new faces coupled with Taron going down early so I will give the D a wash for the day. Need to tighten things up for Thursday.
