Should Beane extend McGovern now?

Good point. Edwards LG position should be in play for one of the IOL guys. -
Should Beane extend McGovern now?
ColoradoBills replied to ColoradoBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
He played way above my expectations going into the season. I sure would like to know what Josh thinks about this. -
I know everyone is interested in the rookie contract extensions like Benford. I want to know IF McGovern is going to be Josh Allen's Center for the next 4 years! This is the last year of his contract. Spotrac has his market value at $8M AAV on 3 years. If Beane can sign him for that he should do it now. I would even think a 4-year contract is worth it. Connor is only 27 right now. Centers can easily play until 33.

Bernard's early ankle injury was nothing but bad luck. I don't link that to any worries concerning his size. The October pectoral strain if anything may be a training issue. IF Bernard stays relatively healthy throughout this contract, I think it's a win for the team.

I was just going to say the same thing. Beane is doing well with positional spending in this area. I bet when we see the yearly breakdown the first year that Bernard gets bigger money will be in 2027 when Milano is an UFA. Shakir's contract is set up the same way. Or as you said, Milano is let go next season, which I'm not believing yet.

Dalton Kincaid- why so underwhelming this season?
ColoradoBills replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
I feel things will be much better with the TEs this season. Brady had a lot to get done his first off season. I'm thinking more effort will be put into the TEs this camp. -
Jags release Christian Kirk, seems like a Billsy move

He's going to be 33 when the season starts. Not sure that is worth the effort to get him and Josh in sync.

The draft pick was Minnesota, but the trade was with Houston. They have the 3rd rounder. -
Eagles reset RB market, extend Barkley.
ColoradoBills replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree on how valuable he is. I just don't know if Beane (who hasn't signed RBs) will do it for $14M AAV. It will be interesting to see this play out. -

He can't hold out the whole year, that's for sure. -

It is a volatile subject. I still think for the Bills POV it's $12.5M max. The whole thing ends up how Cook reacts IF Beane doesn't sign him before camp. I don't see a trade in the making right now. -

I know this a touchy subject with Bills fans, but I'm OK giving Cook $12.5M AAV which makes him the 4th highest in the league. I wouldn't do anything more than that. Cook along with players like Spencer Brown and Shakir need to have their cap pushed out to make room for a 3-4 year run with Josh.- 172 replies

A player designated to a Post June 1st cut can sign with any team immediately after being cut. Tre White was designated a Post June cut on March 13th last year and signed with the Rams on April 9th. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/21768/tredavious-white

Jets planning to either trade or release Devante Adams
ColoradoBills replied to UKBillFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
He kept his old contract. Jets restructured $10M last year. They would eat only $8M leaving $30M (no guaranteed money) to the traded to team. No way anyone is doing that IMO. Jets will have to cut him. -
I see him getting a 2-year contract worth around $4M. If I'm Beane I match that and keep him in Buffalo.
-
Yes. He can sign with a team and be with them before June 1.

Agree but I think it's going to be 5th or 6th. -
https://www.spotrac.com/news/_/id/2674/49ers-agree-to-trade-samuel-to-washington Good article on Spotrac about Deebo's contract options for Washington. If the Commanders choose to decline the $15.4M option bonus, that entire amount will be added to his $1.17M base salary, raising his 2025 cap hit to $17,550,525. All of this of course assumes that Washington and Samuel don’t agree to a new or restructured contract once the move becomes official. Cap Hits (Option Exercised) 2025: $5,206,105 2026: $12,344,420 (void dead cap) Cap Hit (Option Declined) 2025: $17,550,525

Any GM trading for him should be immediately fired.
