Yes. Also, as of now Edwards and McGovern are UFAs next season and both Anderson and Van Demark will need to be tendered as RFAs. OTC estimates a 2026 RFA 2nd Round Tender is $5.6M. Decisions will need to be made after this year. Not all of them will be Bills next season. The only option is if everyone is healthy going into cut down time to trade someone to a needy OL team. There are always a few of those teams every year.

The only issue with drafting a high round OL this year is he would have to make the 53. Right now, there would be no one to cut from the Top 9 already making the team. It turns into a numbers game. On the other hand, I would consider using a 6th on a good developmental IOL that could end up on the PS, if one is available and is a Kromer kind of guy. They may need another G next season.

Should Beane extend McGovern now?

He fell on it in the Ravens game. Played in the KC game. I haven't heard anything else. -
We are currently negative 2.5 mill in cap space for 2025

In reality with regards to Draft picks it only costs $2-3M against the Top 51. There is savings accounts but also the loan department. All the teams have to be under the cap next week (March 12th). There will be a new thread started by then. If not, I will start one. -

Right now, Beane is at minus $8.4M. There are way too many options to determine how much or how many big-name FAs he COULD sign. Bottom line, he can do some things. We all are waiting to see what unfolds in the next 2 weeks. -
Beane does have the option to do a simple restructure of his base salary and free up $11M. I think they do that and do his extension next spring.

If that is a real question............ Under the "Cap Breakdown" tab in the player's page go all the way over to the right and click on the red scissors for 2025 year. A pop-up comes up with all the trade and release details. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/21905/matt-milano

I'm not down on Edwards at all, but he seems to maybe be the guy without a chair when the music stops on his contract next spring. For years I wanted Beane to build a great line for Josh. I don't want to see that change, but like other have said, there are guys in the wings. If Connor is extended it seems to lock out Edwards in my mind. I think he is worth $5M AAV on the open market. Not sure if Beane wants to pay everyone currently on the line and try to keep the depth guys. It's a great problem to have and I hope the right moves are made. -

Good point. Edwards LG position should be in play for one of the IOL guys. -

He played way above my expectations going into the season. I sure would like to know what Josh thinks about this. -
I know everyone is interested in the rookie contract extensions like Benford. I want to know IF McGovern is going to be Josh Allen's Center for the next 4 years! This is the last year of his contract. Spotrac has his market value at $8M AAV on 3 years. If Beane can sign him for that he should do it now. I would even think a 4-year contract is worth it. Connor is only 27 right now. Centers can easily play until 33.

Bernard's early ankle injury was nothing but bad luck. I don't link that to any worries concerning his size. The October pectoral strain if anything may be a training issue. IF Bernard stays relatively healthy throughout this contract, I think it's a win for the team.

I was just going to say the same thing. Beane is doing well with positional spending in this area. I bet when we see the yearly breakdown the first year that Bernard gets bigger money will be in 2027 when Milano is an UFA. Shakir's contract is set up the same way. Or as you said, Milano is let go next season, which I'm not believing yet.

Dalton Kincaid- why so underwhelming this season?

I feel things will be much better with the TEs this season. Brady had a lot to get done his first off season. I'm thinking more effort will be put into the TEs this camp. -
Jags release Christian Kirk, seems like a Billsy move

He's going to be 33 when the season starts. Not sure that is worth the effort to get him and Josh in sync.
