  1. I guess we will see what Hollister is all about during camp. As to the Lee Smith replacement I don't think he is that. Nate Becker has the size to be that and he has been with the Bills for 2 years now. 6'5" 264 is what he is listed at and adding a few more pounds could make him a perfect sized blocking TE. I hope it works out that way.
  2. I understand what you are saying and I want Beane to make at least one good move to improve the team this year. That being said they are close in cap next year too. Spotrac has the league cap at $209M for next year in their figures. Bills have 39 signed with a Cap Space of $21.3. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/2022/ Edit: I forgot that is without Feliciano's contract.
  3. Yes. He is one of a couple other vets I think could improve the RB room now that Lindsay is gone. If the Bills go to improve the position I think another rookie is a weaker choice than a cheap vet.
  4. Well Brandon Beane is the best GM the Bills have had in a generation BUT I think he missed one here. Lindsay singed on the cheap to Houston which makes me think Beane wasn't even thinking about him. Too bad. Edit to add: Kelly Skipper is the RB Coach. He should have had some input in this too.
  5. Nothing has changed form my post earlier today except the signing of TE Hollister which took $200k off the cap. It's at $1.178M
  6. From watching the Donkeys more than I want to he's is a decent pass receiver. His stats are not the greatest but he has a bunch of bad QBs throwing the ball with a bad offense. I remember a couple of years ago the Bronco fans screaming when Flacco would throw 6 yards at him and hit his feet. I along with everyone else am not sure on his pass blocking skills. I am interested in him if he takes less than expected.
  7. Crazy isn't it. KC has a philosophy of paying a small amount of players big money and the rest of the team is cheap. But if you look at next years roster there is only a handful of players before you get down to guys making less than $2M. That's why they look like they have a bunch of cap for next year along with only 23 guys under contract. It seems to work for them so far. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/cap/2022/
  8. For anyone who cares. Initial Estimated Free Agent Money: $572M Current Estimated Free Agent Money (as of Noon March 19th): $234M (see NOTE) That comes out to about 60% of the FA $'s have already been spent. NOTE: This is Spotrac #'s which has a lot of players contracts confirmed but have not hit the books yet in the Team Salary Cap Space list. So the 60% spent is a lot higher but I don't have anything better to use! Initial Total Free Agents Available: 769 Spotrac Market Value Players: 85 Current Total Free Agents Available: 586 (Currently 181 Players have signed in FA). Current Spotrac Market Value Players: 37 still available. Shouldn't be too much longer before players/agents start to get a little desperate. I still have hope for Beane to do more.
  9. Right now Spotrac has the Bills at $1.325M. Does not have Trubisky ($1.72 off the Top 51) Does not have Feliciano (Have not seen what 1st year hit is) Other adjustment not calculated. Sanders Void Year. Matakevich Extension. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/
  10. That would be 250K for the year if he is on the team for all 17 games.
  11. He was hired to do a job in Buffalo and he did it well. It was just time to move on. Good Luck Matt!
  12. The thing is it's not that easy to figure out. Spotrac/OTC have positional breakdowns for ST but that is just P/K/LS. Teams have ST players but they are in different positions. T. Jones for instance is a RB.
  13. Denver signed Melvin Gordon who took the lion share of snaps.
  14. Sammy at the door of OBD. "Is Tyrod here"? Receptionist: 'No he left 3 years ago". Sammy: "Did he leave a forwarding address"? Receptionist: "Security"!
  15. Good Grief, shoot me now.
  16. Beane's first true move with money pushed to next year.
  17. I did not hear that. Where were those numbers given? That's great if true.
  18. By the way did anyone see McDermott's expression when Beane joked about Josh taking a 'Hometown" discount? It was priceless! He was like "don't say that to the press".
  19. Might only be 6 years (definitely will be over 5 IMO). The $42M per is probably spot on.
  20. Not specifically though he used the "we are in talks" and "waiting for the cost to go down" reply.
  21. Even after Beane's presser I still hope they go after a speedy veteran RB. They can go to the draft for a CB (they seem good at that) and even a DE. I'm going to wait and hope the market for RBs goes through the floor in the next few days.
  22. LOL, I just poured a vodka/tea myself. It sure helps!
  23. Thanks for reminding me about that. Still don't know how much cap they saved doing this. It's not in Spotrac yet. I guess this thread had some value for me!
  24. Another signing that proves players want to come to Buffalo. I am a happy camper. I figured it would be low but this is better than expected! That's $1.72 off the Top 51 Cap!
