Is Beane all but done with FA?
ColoradoBills replied to ColoradoBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My thread question was more along the lines whether or not Beane will sign any more "impact" players during FA. -
When Mitch takes snaps with the 1's in camp it will be the best offense he has ever played with in the NFL.

I'll guess right now that Brittany and Hillary hit it off. They both got that hot "girl next door" look. Why didn't God make me able to throw a football 70+ yards!

There is a lot of 1 year deals this FA. That means there will be a lot of FAs available next year too. A good number of teams that have a lot of cap left are teams starting rebuilds. I'm thinking that they may not spend to their cap this year. Similar to what Beane did when he still had 15-20 Million left in cap. That could contribute to the low FA money available right now. Sure hope Brandon can get at least one more impact player!

Is Beane all but done with FA?

I know he is 32 years old but his game didn't drop off after he left KC for IND. It's kicking the can down the road but I wonder if he wants another chance for a ring. He missed out in KC in 2019. He is one of my hopes to sign a 1 year deal. -
That actually seems like a good fit for both of them.

The only move up I see Beane doing is trading the second 5th rounder to move up a bit in Round 3 to get a guy they like. It's a typical Beane move. Not a lot of spots on the roster open so the 1st 3 rounds are important. I get a feeling that the 5th-7th round guys have a hard time cracking the roster.

I absolutely HATE our team’s focus on Special Teams
ColoradoBills replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With Andre Roberts gone "Dirty Red" will be the ST Captain. You got to agree that the Special Teams groups deserve a player working a good portion of his time filling that role. You just said it's 20% of the game. The only other dedicated ST'er is Jones who makes peanuts. -
Bills re-sign Feliciano
ColoradoBills replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Spotrac just added his contract and it says 3 years $14.4M with a $3.28M cap hit for this year. Not sure if it was already mentioned but it's the first I seen that it's much lower than first reported. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/jon-feliciano-16854/ -

I'm hoping the lure of Buffalo being a rising team with a very reasonable SB run brings in a couple of decent players. -

I'd didn't mention that option but I think it's something Beane is looking into. a player for player swap is definitely a good move for wise GMs this year. Thanks for confirming something that just may happen before Beane goes into depth players and the draft! -
Bills sign TE Jacob Hollister

I can go along with that. -

Desperate times call for desperate measures? -
Curious what TBD thinks Beane is up to. I still hope that as money dries up he can still sign someone who can make an impact. Although I'm starting to feel that other than some guys to compete for depth that Brandon might be done. I can also talk myself into a scenario that since everyone is pretty quite in the whole league the last few days that another wave of FA signings could start and Beane will be part of it. He can tweek a few contracts and get some cap money but he may be true to his word and not want to do too much with that.

Kyle Fuller released, and signs with Broncos
ColoradoBills replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was wondering why Denver was sitting on all that cap and after this and the Justin Simmons signing shows me they are looking to counter Mahomes the best they can. -
Bills should look at Damiere Byrd

I got in the habit knowing how McDermott feels about them. -

Interesting stat is he had 49 touches last year and 3 fumbles. -
But JuJu got all those TikTok views! you can't put a price on fame.

Leaving the whole legal thing out of it and just looking at the Texans perspective the only thing I can see is that the Texans if they indeed want to trade Watson would want to do it after June 1st. It frees up $10M this year instead of adding an extra $5M along with his current Cap Hit this year. A team trading for him would only have a $10M hit this year and just about anyone could get that. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/houston-texans/deshaun-watson-21753/ It would mean that Houston goes with TT at QB and has to wait until next year for their picks which is risky. It all would essentially mean that Houston wastes this year but that team has done a lot of goofy things in the past. I just don't get this whole thing myself.

Just Because. (Taron's Pick Six vs. the Ravens)
ColoradoBills replied to whatdrought's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks for that @whatdrought. It's such a slow Saturday so far all around the league and that was a pleasant distraction! -
As fans we seldom know what if anything went on behind the scenes. It would be interesting to know what Lindsay would of done if the Bills had an interest and offered $3.5M. As of right now if nothing is done in FA I could see a pick going to a RB with a totally different style than Moss and Singletary. That would be a big bruiser or a speedy guy that can turn the edge.

Bills sign Emmanuel Sanders
ColoradoBills replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Diggs Sanders Beasley Davis Now if McKenzie can find his way home the Bills are set for the 2021 season. Let the others battle for the 6th and a PS spot or two. Kumerow The Duke Hodgins Gentry Maybe a late round pick and an UDFA or two. -
I didn't at all. I seldom "pine" for any player but in this case I thought he would add an element to the RB position we lacked. He signed for a lot less than I expected and did go to Houston which has a much more crowded RB room than the Bills. I'll get over it.
-
I was hoping for him or another veteran to give some experience and leadership to the RBs. I guess they might go to the draft for another RB like @Big Turk said above.
