  1. yep. As to Josh. Spotrac has his market value at 4 years $42M average. That is very much dead on. If Josh signs a 6 year at the same average it will be a discount. He may sign even a 7 year. That's what I have predicted since the Mahomes signing.
  2. Well, worse case scenario is he stays in the US with his hot girlfriend/fiancé and makes 130K or so.
  3. You should have the honor of a LAMP if that happens. Instead of Beane doing the competition musical chairs AFTER the draft like he always does, with all the FAs scrambling for a spot now just keep them coming in!
  4. That could be an option for them. It seems obvious they are going with Tua for this year and probably next year too. If they didn't think that they wouldn't of done what they did. How it works out everyone will have to wait and I hope Tua busts! They also are playing with house money here. Who on this board would of though the Tunsil trade would of worked out as a #6 let alone the future picks.
  5. I copied and pasted from one of the trade threads: I will say how I see these trades. 1. Miami has 8 picks of which 5 are in the Top 81. They don't need anymore draft capital this year. 2. If their GM/HC has 3 non QBs players on their board that they want then the trade down doesn't matter. 3. Next year they could trade that 1st and 3rd which will be worth a lot more than right now. 4. If they save them for 2023 it's a 1st and a 3rd no matter what anyone says they are worth now. If Tua fails they will want those future picks. Seems to me they are planning long term and that doesn't make me happy. I hope they pick a few busts!
  6. What sucked the most was needing a QB and picking in double digits for all those years!

  8. This singing smells of Beane dotting i's and crossing t's to make sure he has camp competition for McKenzie KR/PR. I think in a perfect world he doesn't make the team.
  9. Hap, I was the one stating approximately $1.5M as the eventual true cost of the rookies signing. One thing I didn't put in my breakdown was the 1st year residual signing bonus for the lower pick the get consumed by the Top 51. That brings it up about 200K. Greg of Cover 1 brings up something I can't fine either but I'm suspecting is true. It seems to be a merger of a couple of different rules governing cap space needed on draft day. The numbers seems to be the following: A 660k (Rookie minimum salary) cap space for all draft pick above the Top 51 rule + the residual signing bonus cap hit for all those below the Top 51. When I add that up in comes very close to his numbers. FWIW
  10. Dialing the mental health hotline is my guess.
  11. Add to the equation that a 7-9 year puts you in the perfect position to not get a QB in the draft! Everyone and I mean everyone said they overpaid for the move. When you add that they picked Darnold it was a horrible move. I'm not trying to pick on you it's just the truth.
  12. Brieda is never going to be a RB1. He is a change of pace guy for the Bills having Moss/Singletary. The Kansas City Chiefs had no problem drafting a Running Back at pick #32. Fans can think anyway they want. There are plenty of examples to "make a point" either way.
  13. The they will have 1 2022 1st and 2 2023 picks to move up. My point is the fish are setting themselves up to be very competitive in the AFC in the next year or two.
  14. If Tua doesn't work out that 2023 1st will come in handy. Dolphins got 2 picks this year in the first 3 rounds. 5 picks in the top 81!
  15. If you are the Dolphins it's the result. They know that #3 is now a QB. So in reality they went form 4 to 6 in the trade.
  16. Oh I agree about Herbert! Right now I don't think anyone knows how good or bad Tua will eventually be. They will have 2 1st's in 2023 so Tua has a 2 year window to show what he's got. They could win a lot of games with a QB that performs pretty good.
  17. The FA market is full of late round RBs who couldn't make it in the NFL. Finding a good RB is not as easy as some say it is.
  18. It was a 3 way trade. The fish in essence by trading 3 for 6 knowing 3 is a QB. So they took a chance of 2 players going before they pick for a 2023 1st round and a 3rd rounder this year. If they would be satisfied with 1 of 3 players it's a great move. Atlanta is most likely NOT going with a WR. Miami has so many picks this year they still can do almost anything.
  19. Wow. Getting crazy now.
  20. So the Tunsil trade nets the Dolphins 4 1st round picks 1 2nd rounder and a 3rd round pick. I think the fish won that trade!
  21. He definitely showed up big in the playoffs when it counted.
  22. I apologize BillsFan I overread your post with my reply to you and didn't see how you were replying to another. That being said he is nothing more than a change of pace like I said.
  23. OK I'm sorry but it seems your Breida stat hunting. He was NOT the feature back for 3 years in SF. In his entire NFL career he has never been a featured RB. His 1st year at SF Carols Hyde was the #1 back. He came to SF as a UDFA and made some noise. His 2nd year he was not the feature back taking only 34% of the offensive snaps. He was the leading yard gainer. His 3rd year he took the least amount of snaps of the 3 headed monster of Coleman/Mostert/Breida. Breida was close to the top of my FA list after Lindsay. He can easily made this team as a change of pace RB. Singletary and Moss do not change how defenses scheme against the Bills at all.
  24. The Bills could draft a Harris/Etienne in the 1st round without kicking anything. The Kittle thing is this. He was a 5th round pick. His big yards receiving is due to his targets. What is the difference if his has 1300+ yards as a TE with more targets than the next 3 pass receivers or having a Diggs and the other WRs? Yards passing is yards passing and to me it doesn't matter who is catching the ball. While it would be great to have a TE with top qualities the fact is he will not get the targets to give him those numbers. The Bills WRs are getting those targets. The Bills IMO need a "stealthy" TE that gets catches at opportune times. Currently the Bills will probably not have a top 10 pick to draft a Mack type player so the only way is luck with a lower pick or to go "big time" in FA. It's points against on Defense and the Bills and Bears are tied with that stat the last 2 years combined. The defense is going to live and die with McDermott and his scheme so we might as well let him and Beane do what they are doing this year. For the previous 3 years this board and the majority of Bills fans said that this team was going to be a Defense first with limited offensive power. Beane and McDermott don't know offense and that's just the way it's going to be! Well Beane and McDermott proved that wrong just last year! As to "kicking the can" the Bills are a good team because of Beane's vision of a complete team. For the record in a way they don't kick the can because they use money for all the other players needed for a team to succeed. Currently the Bills have no cap left next year with 39 players signed. Give them this year to see if a ring can come with their system (process)!
  25. You know I do too but we better duck when we say it around here! LOL. I think it's a missing piece on offense. They all seem to be good pass catchers which makes it all the more intriguing. If Beane did that he could go with D with his next 4 picks for all I would care.
