  1. I would add one thing. Everyone knows the DL and Bills front 7 needed to play better last season. That being said I think it's being a little overblown here lately. It's not like they were at the bottom of the league or anything. Beane and McDermott did their evaluation and have their plan. Like I keep saying let's wait to see what the team is in September.
  2. They gutted that horrible defense ranked 29th in the league because they allowed it to go bad after the 2017n season! 29. Kansas City Chiefs I’m not sure if anyone knows what to expect out of the Chiefs defense after it lost several significant players in the offseason. CB Kendall Fuller should be a fine replacement for Marcus Peters but he’s not going to be the playmaker the new Rams corner had been for Kansas City. OLB Dee Ford is coming off a major injury and has looked like it during preseason. Justin Houston is now a year older and has averaged just seven sacks a season since 2014. The linebacker group would be perfect if it were 1995 and the running game still mattered. DT Chris Jones is a blue-chip talent but the Chiefs are going to be asking a lot of him. Expect a lot of shootouts in Kansas City this season.
  3. Good grief, when an OC calls for a long ball (bomb for us old timers) generally a 40+ yard pass so many thing have to happen correctly for a completion that using only a QB completion rate is foolish. It's why it is inherently a low percentage pass because of that fact. The QB is just one part of that equation. There are QBs who are generally a little better than the norm over years on these limited attempted plays but even then a lot of other factors are needed for success. Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills Offense were NOT good at these passes his first 2 years in the league. That is a fact! Last year (it has already been confirmed by many sources) that the TEAM worked on this more and significantly improved on this low percentage play. I expect them to continue to work on it and there is a reasonable chance for continued improvement. Anyone wanting to argue with what I stated above?
  4. I'm of the belief that with all the FAs (many of whom will play for vet minimum with 0 or very low guarantees) available that it might be wise for Beane to sign a good amount of these players vs having a lot of UDFA come in after the draft.
  5. I remember that being discussed during the new CBA negotiations but I thought that wasn't agreed to. If anyone has the facts one way or the other it sure would be appreciated.
  6. I was being sarcastic. It seems every low level signing gets complaints by many posters.
  7. Oh so Beane doesn't sign Dupree or Judon but he brings this guys in for a look! (Am I doing this right?)
  8. Bills needed to sign 25 more guys. Now the need to sign 24 more. Depth competition from a guy like this is fine with me.
  9. It just seems to me the easiest way to improve the offensive weapons. I'm fairly confident that the offense will work on run blocking during camp much more than they did last year too.
  10. Thanks for the info about Aligretti. I figured they have to have someone with previous Center experience. If he doesn't start they at least got some depth at C. I know Austin Reiter want to finally make some $ but do you see a way that he re-signs with the Chiefs?
  11. It's one of the intriguing things about Javonte Williams. I'm not a huge college fan but he is one I want to know more about.
  12. Thanks Zero for giving an honest assessment of their OL. I'm sure the Chief are going to the draft and will be adding in the end of FA. I got a question. Is there any vet Guards right now on the Chief that have Center experience? I don't see any but it seems a decent option if they do to start the season. As a Bills fan my hope is that it takes a while for this almost completely new line to learn to work together. As a Chiefs fan I'm sure once the 5 are determined you hope the C and T's stay healthy cuz there isn't a lot of depth there. Like I said before when it comes to who has improved or not concerning the Bills/Chiefs I will wait till they final 53.
  13. If you want to see concern look at KC's OL. If those players were the Bills OL this board would melt down. I asked multiple poster about this (ones who keep talking about who improved or not) and got zero answers back. Like I said I'll wait until the end to make my evaluation. Sort by position..... https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/cap/
  14. Some are sarcastic, some are trolling and some are really freaking out like they always do. I'm waiting until the final rosters to see what changes happened to make a comparison.
  15. Bills are going to need some sort of running game to stop teams from pinning their ears back and rushing Josh.
  16. Yes. The AFC East plays the NFLC East this year. Bills/WFT I like the Pats playing Dallas and the Chiefs playing Green Bay! No one has said yet but I'm sure it will be scattered around.
  17. I can't believe I have talked myself into a RB this year but the more I read about J. Williams the more I think he is a fit. They say he is probably top of Day 2 but I can't remember the last time the Bills had a young bruising RB. I really like how everyone talks about his pass blocking and he has a lot of tread left on him. I'm crazy but Williams/Breida/Moss or Singletary sounds like a very well rounded RB room to me.
  18. I've said the same thing. IF Beane moves down from #30 the Atlanta pick at #35 is the farthest back I would like to see. Atlanta's 4th round pick is at #108 which is fair in both Draft Value Charts.
  19. There is one more housekeeping task needed before the new contract extension is signed. Next month the Bills will pick up Josh Allen's 5th year option just like KC did with Mahomes. The extension will be signed before the preseason starts and will begin with the 2023 season. Allen's salary is $23,016,000 for the 2022 season. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/option/
  20. A most definite possibility. It seem like Miami is considering that and has tried to prepare IF that's true. If Beane picked Rosen instead of Allen (like the majority of this board wanted) but put himself in position to fix it he could of survived it.
  21. That's for sure. Miami has one big question. Is Tua good enough? They could of stayed at 3 and got the QB table scraps this year and hoped he was better than Tua. They chose to make the move they made which IMO was all about the Tua question. Whether or not they can have enough capital to get a QB a year from now is academic. BUT they sure have a lot more capital with a 2023 1st! As for this future considerations are not worth it that is debatable by a lot of factors. If Beane could trade a 3rd round pick for a 1st round pick 2 year in the future and did that over and over..........he'd be a fool not to! Miami is in a good situation and I hope they screw it up.
  22. It seems to me that Singletary and Moss are both decent RBs but neither bring anything special to their game. I feel it doesn't matter which one is in the defenses play them the same and I suspect neither is feared too much. It's one of the main reasons I want to see a RB that causes the defense some worry. I feel that will help Josh and the offense in total. It seems the easiest way to improve the O. As an example no one can convince me that having McCoy in his prime wouldn't create a whole new diversity to this offense.
  23. Brandon Powell's contract is already in Spotrac and it's essentially a Jake Kumerow contract. 980k minimum with nothing guaranteed.
