  1. LOL. I knew what day it was. I was just having fun with @SydneyBillsFan. Go Bills.
  2. Being I'm retired I have been looking forward to this all day! Welcome back to GDT Bills fans! Simple food and drink. Vodka Tea and basic hot Buffalo Wings w/Blue Cheese. KISS!
  3. Glad to see a lot of the starters are probably sitting this one out. Also, with Goff being new to the team I expect the Lions starters to play a few series. Should be good to watch the Bills 2nd string go up against their first.
  4. He doesn't count against the 90 roster limit because of the program he is on.
  5. I think we will see how he plays tonight. I'm sure as 3rd on the depth chart he gets a lot of playing time. I will wait to see how he looks.
  6. A minimum of 5 of these guys will be cut by Tuesday the 17th.
  7. I'm loving the home town Pats* announcers struggling to find things to praise. It's funny.
  8. So seeing that Mac Jones is a Florida boy who played in Alabama I checked his game logs and he never played a cold weather game. Could be interesting when he plays the Bills twice in December.
  9. OK I already don't like the single digit uniform numbers for the D.
  10. I'm actually looking forward to the WFT/NE* game.
  11. The foot "injury" is a bit of concern to me too. I'm all for having him on the Bills and it seems to me right now they are being very cautious. I do believe if healthy during the season he still will get spelled a lot from Davis to keep him as fresh as possbile.
  12. Wow Orton, that's right. Back in 2014. Man time is flying by. Quarterback Kyle Orton and holder Colton Schmidt said they had a laser directed at them during Buffalo's 17-14 win over the Lions on Sunday, the Associated Press reported. Schmidt said he had the laser pointed at him while holding on a 50-yard field goal attempt that Dan Carpenter banked off left upright in the third quarter. Carpenter responded to secure the win by hitting a 58-yard attempt with 4 seconds remaining, according to AP.
  13. Shining it into the Bills kickers eyes. Carpenter I believe.
  14. I'm definitely not one of those BUT it would be cool if he could get called up with these new rules for a hopefully meaningless NY Jets game to end the season. If he took some snaps it would sure bring in a lot of British fans for Buffalo. I think that would be OK.

  16. Interesting players you have sited. Maybe a Bates/Boettger but no way both are traded. I want to add something about Butler. I brought this up a while back but no one commented because of the way that thread was going. IF Butler was put up for a trade do any Bills fans know what that would encompass? Spotrac shows a Post June 1st Butler trade has the Bills eating $4.5M in cap hit with a $806k cap savings. The team who would trade for Butler gets his services for less than $1M dollars. That is pretty enticing for a vet DT needy team. I wonder if Beane knew this when he did the Butler contract deal earlier this year? I would think so. It seems to me it makes a Butler trade a realistic option.
  17. Thanks to replying to my off the cuff thought. Totally agree about seeing how things play out. It's just no one wants to think about a backup QB until one is needed. Interesting about what you say the Bears fans are saying. Thanks for that. One thing I would comment on is that idea of always another "Trubisky" I just got to say that isn't quite true for the Bills in the past 20 years. Trubisky would of been competing for a starter job not a backup like I was alluding to. I just thought it might have been a subject others could be interested in. If this idea had any merit going forward it would make for some fun reactions.
