  1. Yes, K I S S.
  2. The way I see it is Breida was brought in to add a different dimension and insurance against whether or not Devin and Zack showed the improvement needed for the RB group. He may not be needed (especially with the Jones option) and Gilliam looking good. Singletary looks vastly better than last year. I could see a scenario where Breida does get cut and after all the other RBs flood the FA market he ends up on the PS.
  3. I don't see a CB, NCB or S getting cut this round. Bills are thin (only 3 deep) on all backfield positions. It seems to me there are a lot of 4 deep positions these cuts come from. Now maybe a DB shakes loose they like and bring him in but only then will they cut someone.
  4. Jake only has 3 years. He is subject to waivers.
  5. WR Bug Howard C Tyler Gauthier DT Treyvon Hester MLB Marquel Lee WR (insert name here) I want to go with Tanner Gentry (but the Josh thing) OR Brandon Powell (but with Stevenson banged up he probably stays to final cutdown) OR Duke Williams (Beane gives him a chance to find another team and if he can't the "Duke" would be happy to get a chance to come back for a PS spot if needed). Way too many WRs currently on the roster (13) not to cut at least 1 and probably 2. Need to give a good chance to look at the remaining guys. Edit: Duke news.
  6. I agree with the plan and the risk. No one knows whether or not the comp pick will happen. One good thing is the makeup of the team is stable and with the cap situation the way it is the Bills probably won't be bringing in a lot of expensive FAs next year. There also is a good chance that a number of Bills FAs may be re-signed which doesn't count against the comp pick formula. It's going to be one of those "great if it happens" situations and I'm sure Beane will be considering all these things. In the meantime having Mitch as a backup is awesome!
  7. Unfortunately that will probably not happen. Roberts signed a 2 year deal with a decent amount of guaranteed money with the Texans. He is not getting cut. It's a pretty good contract for a 33 year old PR guy and is why Beane probably let him walk. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/houston-texans/andre-roberts-6596/
  8. Typically also on a 1 year contract. The prime guys that fit this are Breida, McKenzie, Hollister and Taiwan Jones.
  9. You are right. I didn't see the void year cost. I thought he signed a 2 year contract.
  10. You can't stop Trubisky you only hope to contain him.
  11. Good job going right to McKenzie on the pass!
  12. There is roster cut down to 80 players next Tuesday the 24th.
  13. Eagles are probably going to be in tank mode plus their cap is a mess next year too. Time to get a TE from them! Dallas Goedert is a FA next year and will not re-sign with Iggles. Get'er done Brandon!
  14. I'll be that guy. Would it be wise for Beane to trade Addison to the Jets? Saves $5.4M in cap (that's what it would cost the Jets) if traded. Jets have an extra 5th and 6th next year and also have 2 other DEs currently on the PUP list.
  15. Sweeney had a foot injury and was on PUP last year AND then had Covid with the heart condition.
  16. Almost makes you think there was some sort of plan or something.
  17. McDermott just said today he will probably be back on the field in a few days.
  18. Agree but that battle for a PS spot (I imagine they go with 2 WRs again this year to start) is going to be intense. Even though it's a PS spot that gig could be pretty meaningful next season. Sanders probably will be gone and if McKenzie plays very good he may want $s next year.
  19. No I don't think so Gunner. Joe B is quoting too much because of the $1.5M Roster Bonus guarantee that has activated I believe. The weird thing with Spotrac is on the base line for 2021 it shows a $4.1M Dead money hit which is what the contract details read. 1M Signing Bonus, 1.5M Salary guarantee, 1.5M Roster guarantee and 100k workout bonus. That would be a cap savings if cut of $1,750,000. Which works out right and what is shown on the base line. What seems to be wrong is when you click on Spotrac expanded details the whole thing falls apart and makes no sense. One other reason I believe the expanded numbers are wrong is they added a 2022 Dead slot which tells me there is a glitch. If I had to make a bet I would think the $1.75M cap savings number is correct. Now if they cut Butler to keep Zimmer ($920k hit) I think that is a reasonable move. If traded it seems that the new team would pay $4.75M for him which is a "maybe" for a DT needy team. FWIW.
  20. All true and that's why as of now I'm not convinced the DT location is totally dead. There was a lot of land speculation going on in the Perry/1st Ward in 2014-2016 when that was being discussed. I'm not a taxpayer in WNY but I am intrigued with this whole process. One thing about all of this is the Pegula's have had a long time to look all this over and the "negotiations" are just going to start.
