  1. Definitely not saying this WILL happen the way we just said but it seems it COULD head that way and fans/taxpayers seem to "get a deal". What if all of sudden the Perry Projects are sold to this endeavor for $1 like Palidino wanted. All speculation on my part but 2027 is a long way away.
  2. I couldn't agree with you more. It is the main reason for a new stadium wanted by the NFL in my opinion.
  3. I totally agree. It's just interesting to watch this start to unfold. I do tend to believe that fans/taxpayers/voter are sometimes manipulated to get what others want in the first place. Where things "start" and where they "finish" is always interesting to me. LOL.
  4. I hear you Major. One thing confusing about the article is this. Did you read as the initial 1.6B for the stadium in OP going down to 1.4B and then commenting about 1.9B for downtown as 300M more to build the current proposal OR 500M more to build downtown? The only thing about that is IF the infrastructure money can be secured with a lot of $s from the Federal Infrastructure Bill just passed, well the downtown looks a lot better. Just bringing this up because it seems all politics, politics, politics right now.
  5. You know it's something to consider but I think it will be fine. I know a lot of people have been on the Pegula's about a lot of this but they were told they needed a new stadium by the NFL when they bought the Bills. They dragged their feet as long as they could which I think was a good thing. I'm fairly confident the Highmark will be fine until the new one is built. I would venture a guess the "safety" report was more of a "need to build a new one soon" more than an imminent concern.
  6. The "average" cost of a seat in Buffalo is $74. It will probably almost double and then add PSLs. It will price out a large group of lower income fans and that is just the way it is everywhere else in the NFL. Rabid fans will still attend but it will affect casual attendees. Currently a lot of away team fans come to Buffalo because it's so cheap.
  7. Seems they will add a few years to the current lease. The lease dollars could help maybe with some of the public financing. Maybe?
  8. There were guys talking on NFLN a little while ago saying the exact same thing.
  9. Like 120. But a lot are small. I'm assuming the 60 they are talking about are large high luxury suites. Without more details we are all guessing.
  10. Remember that wealthy away team groups will occupy some of these suites too.
  11. He's an oldtimer fan. He remembers the 60s and early 70s Steelers. He told me last year their big winning streak was a mirage. He was right.
  12. With the new thread I will repeat this post. 60 suites is less than half of the number of suites in the average NFL stadium. It seems right for Buffalo. https://alsd.com/content/premium-seat-industry-reference-points
  13. 60,000 seats and another 3,000 or so inside suites seems about right for Buffalo. The new stadium will price out some lower income fans and that's just what it is. 60 suites is like half of the average number of suites at NFL stadiums stated in this article for anyone interested. https://alsd.com/content/premium-seat-industry-reference-points
  14. Had lunch with my Steeler fan friend yesterday. We talk some about the game. He is a smart football guy and a long long time Steeler fan. He is not happy with their OL and Secondary which he equates as a big problem in facing the Bills. FWIW.
  15. 70% of Bass Kickoffs were touchbacks last season. It could be even higher this year. One of Haack's pluses is his hang time which is directly proportionate to more fair catches. Fans are not undervaluing STs it's just a fact in todays NFL and looking like a planned scheme by our Bills. It's the Bills potent offense that will give them field advantage this year (just like last year).
  16. He is officially listed as a FB on the Bills which I agree with. He can line up at TE but at 6'1" he is a little small to be a true TE. Big Model Swiss Army Knife.
  17. Reported he was cut. I expect to see him back on the PS.
  18. I figured he was one of the guys to be released/re-signed.
  19. Wow I seen this thread before I left this morning and now it's 11 pages. Anyone think that maybe the STs will have more LBs on them this year (like they are suppose to be) instead of a DE? If Taiwan Jones is cut tomorrow this board might melt down.
  20. People need to understand these ST guys to be useful also have to fit into the guys that dress on Sunday. I can't help but trust Beane and McDermott with this move.
  21. So Beane got a pick for a guy who wasn't going to clear waivers. Good deal. Let's see more!
  22. Panthers have 2 6th rounders next year. So that is what I think it will be. They also have 2 4th rounders but that is just too much to ask for. LOL
  23. Edmunds does need to improve this year. We will all get a chance to see if that happens for his $4M cap hit. Next year he plays for $12.7M. Can we please keep the exaggerated $20M per year talk at lease until next offseason. Good grief.
  24. Bass last year had 70% of his 101 Kickoffs resulting in touchbacks. I believe the league average is in the 60's.
