  1. I'm over this TE thing but the question for me was Hollister IMO is better and more reliable than Sweeney. Sweeney has been healthy for 6 games in 2 years and has 8 total receptions. Beane will probably prove me wrong as he has in the past!
  2. Yes they do. From an article 7 days ago. They have counted against the cap for years. https://www.ninersnation.com/2021/8/25/22641311/2021-practice-squad-primer-everything-to-know-from-the-rules-to-the-eligibility There is no limit to how much a team can pay a player on the practice squad, although the practice squad contracts do count against the salary cap.
  3. Hopefully a waived CB and his agent see the need and sign with the Bills PS.
  4. Yep, the old 80/20 rule. Know it well. I am over the TE thing. Bills O will have up to 5 receivers on the field at times. I'm sure some linemen will be used for "eligible receivers" in short yardage situations. Maybe Sweeney can get and stay healthy. Onward and upward. Go Bills!
  5. Once again Hollister is a 4 year vet and not subject to waivers. He can sign with anyone. If that doesn't happen he could come back to Buffalo as a PS player. Odds are someone will want him on their 53.
  6. I agree that IF no team signs him to their 53 that Buffalo is the best place for him.
  7. Hollister is a free agent and can sign with any team he chooses.
  8. It is what it is but after hearing Beane today the team seems set for the season. Anyone thinking of bringing in more expensive players this year will be disappointed IMO. Like I said I expect a "restructure" on a player soon to give himself some "pocket money" for the season.
  9. I couldn't agree more. It is a head scratcher. Hollister on the 53 and Sweeney cut seems like was the right move. Sweeney would of cleared waivers and could of been on the PS.
  10. I had hoped the Bills could of had enough initial space to maybe pick up a player in a thin position but things are tight right now. I used Spotrac for my numbers. The "Top 51" rule is still in effect until next week but I am using the Total Season Start dollars. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/ As of September 2nd. Current Cap Space: $2.9M Adjusted Cap: $100k (Current Cap once season starts) Beane and his "bean counters" did a good job getting under without restructures. EDIT: Updated for September 2nd
  11. Yes they were. My point was my buddy remembers those days and knows they could return unlike most obnoxious Steeler fans! LOL.
  12. What roster are you looking at? The official roster on the Bills site shows both Hollister and Ferguson gone. Depth chart shows LS position as blank.
  13. I wouldn't worry about that. He will get a bump in pay and he is Josh's buddy. He has a good chance to start on a SB contender.
  14. True but lets see who they have signed to the PS. That could influence a move.
  15. I'm waiting to see when all the dust clears how much cap Beane has to work with. If he goes out of house for anything I think it could be a CB. At least it's a hope of mine.
  16. PS almost for sure. He might actually get a bump from the minimum to sign.
  17. Reid Ferguson doing the vet/re-sign move is a bit strange. He just signed a 3 year contract extension with 650k in signing bonus. I want to see how much he got paid for this move on his new contract. He definitely flew under my radar as a guy who would do this. Good for him being a team guy!
  18. Thanks for reminding me. I got to go to the ex-girlfriends shop to get a haircut right now. Hopefully I won't miss anything. See you guys in a few!
  19. Actually after the "ST only" players from last year have moved on (Andre Roberts and Bam Johnson) I can see Jones making the team. BUT maybe they move on from him too. It's 4pm lets find out! Go Bills!
  20. Definitely not. What is reasonable is that Haack + Jones replacement MAY make his perceived role diminished enough they move on from him. That has been my take all off season.
  21. One other thing about PSLs are this. If you own one lets say you paid 5k for it and want to give it up you can sell it for more money to a fan who wants to buy it from you. But like @MAJBobbysaid if you can't you give it back to the team.
  22. Come on Brandon one more trade and then announce your cuts!
