  1. It seems to me from what I seen during camp and the GB game is that Allen has worked on his hot reads and getting the ball out of his hands quickly if needed. Teams wanting to blitz him may find this quite unnerving. Also seemed to work on the swing pass and screens. If he improves on these aspects he will be a DC headache. He also seems to have learned to throw the ball down at the feet of a RB/TE if the OL fails badly thus avoiding those "sugar high" plays. Seems like a lot of the things he needed to work on got worked on this offseason. I guess I'm one of the few who thinks his passes per game will increase.
  2. Well if the Pittsburgh official depth chart is correct their starting OL is as follows: https://www.steelers.com/team/depth-chart/ LT Dan Moore - Rookie 4th Round Pick LG Kevin Dotson - 1 Year Pro (4 Games Started for PIT 2020) C Kendrick Green - Rookie 3rd Round Pick RG Trai Turner - 7 Year Pro (6 years with Panthers 5 time Probowl, 1st year with PIT, played for LAC last year) RT Chukwuma Okorafor - 3 Year Pro all with PIT 30 Game Starter FWIW @Stank_Nasty
  3. I will be a TT fan on October 10th when they play the Pats*.
  4. So we're sort of on the "Watt Watch" again. Excellent.
  5. This thread made me get off mu a$$ and order a ROUSSEAU jersey nameplate to replace the name on my drunken purchase at the stadium back a number of years ago! Go Greg! Go Bills!
  6. Along with whoever their dime CB will be covering. I'm loving how Allen is perfecting the quick pass when needed. That will lessen their pass rush ability.
  7. That really was LT during the 80's. He was the "poster child" for the 3-4 OLB role which was extremely popular in that era. LT was instrumental in making NY Giants football relevant again after decades of mediocrity. Perfected the strip sack before the NFL kept "forced fumble" stats. I HATED HIM SO MUCH. LOL.
  8. Opening game of the season is here! I am excited to say the least. I want to see how Allen and the Bills WRs fare against a weakened Steeler secondary. I think it's the key to the game. Will not be surprised to see 4 and 5 WR sets. I can't see Pittsburgh having the personnel to stop that. Go Bills!
  9. So you don't come out and say it you just imply it. Got it. Next, don't group me with others. I don't predict scores or wins and losses. I'm a forever fan of the Bills that watches every game and hopes for a win. The best part of sports in my book is to actually watch the games and see what unfolds.
  10. OK. I just wanted you to give me the "guarantee".
  11. That was last year. I take it from your comment then you a guaranteeing a Pats* win against the Chargers this year?
  12. ......and they also lost to the Broncos at home.
  13. I agree. If you add how many pass catching TEs also excel at blocking that elite number goes down even more. I will concede that an elite TE can create mismatches in defenses but the same could be said with having good receivers all in a 5 WR set.
  14. LOL. When I cut the DirecTV cord I specifically pick Sling Blue over Orange so I wouldn't be exposed to ESPN anymore. My life is better for it.
  15. I do agree there is a lot of different ingredients in the sausage. I guess my main point is that opportunity wise things today in Buffalo are much better for kids leaving school then it was when I left school in the later half of the 70s. When I left it was just the start of the big swing toward job and population loss and that acceleration mode lasted for decades. My younger nieces and nephews and now even grand nieces and nephews are the ones really working on me to move back. LOL, they are much more positive about their futures in WNY than I was at that age. I do see that as a significant improvement and it does give me hope for their futures.
  16. That is not a bad idea for fans who have no other option. Well done.
  17. Maybe he is being prudent and setting his family and himself up financially in case his career is cut short.
  18. Totally agree. I don't click on any of these articles. They just use fans as "cannon fodder".
  19. There is some evidence that the population drain has stopped and may be reversing as the 2020 Census numbers come in. One thing I'm interested in is if the aged population demographics are changing and younger work aged people are increasing. I too have pondered a return to WNY now that I'm retired. I do wonder if in the near future a demographic change happens and a return to the Great Lakes areas are seen. Something as simple as proximity to water could fuel a change. It's getting to be a big issue out here in the West. Thanks for you reply.
  20. Like I have said before ultimately this is a NY/WNY taxpayer issue but I am a bit disappointed that the stadium will not become a showplace for the Buffalo downtown rejuvenation. As a former Buffalonian it is nice to hear all the positive input I get from people in the business/medical professions/university fields complimenting their trips or college experiences in Buffalo. I do want to say to the WNY residents that the image of Buffalo is changing toward the positive and a successful Buffalo Bills football team will only assist in that change. Although the chances of a downtown stadium seem all but gone don't discount the importance of an NFL team. As others have stated it does help to keep Buffalo relevant in the nations eyes. Good Luck in this venture and I do truly hope it works out for the best. I am back to WNY often now that I'm retired and I look forward to attending games in the new venue.
