  1. I'm not advocating getting rid of DW. I was only bringing up cap implications. Like I said IF they wanted to trade him his contract is not an issue. You are correct his money is not huge for the position. I do hope his play picks back up to last years standards. It's a long season and you just got to see how players perform game by game. The whole OL is playing a little weak but that could change at any time!
  2. The comments and ranking all look pretty accurate. At least that is how I saw it during the game.
  3. Exactly. I also think Beane is set up pretty good to have a handle on that for the immediate future. It will be signing a few of his own FAs and get the bulk of the depth and hopeful starters in the Draft and UDFA. I get a feeling a lot of fans will be sad when he doesn't sign a lot of market FAs.
  4. Thanks Gunner for breaking down how contracts like this actually work out. I believe if/when Edmunds is signed this is the structure and your overall numbers are probably really close. Now if you use this type of structure (albeit to a lesser degree and terms) in signing Taron Johnson I have no fear that they can't get both done next year. Too often poster look at the AAV vs current Cap and come to wild speculations. Side Note: If Andre Smith is as capable as some of us hope Klein very much could be a cut and another LB taken in the mid round draft next year. Same holds true about Dodson staying who is an ERFA next year who is backing up Edmunds on the depth chart. I say all this with the expectations that Edmunds can incrementally keep improving.
  5. DWs contract definitely could be tradeable. One detail to consider is he gets $4.35M guaranteed 2023 Salary on the 5th day of 2022. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/daryl-williams-16828/
  6. If Jordan has to sit it will be interesting to see who replaces him. Hamlin is next on the depth chart but Jaquan Johnson has more game experience.
  7. 6 TDs in the last 7 years. I would of thought that KC would be looking for help on the D. It's a puzzlement.
  8. BB is not a fraud HC/GM but all these points are when Brady was with the team. I'm sure he helped a lot in those wins. The question (which no one can truly answer yet) is how successful will BB be "post" Brady? The only way to answer that is to watch the coming games. He has a rough one this Sunday and I am interested if he can "keep his cool" if the game is a runaway.
  9. I did look that up earlier this year. It is complicated but $ is important but also snap count % is factored. OTC had a pretty good article about it. https://overthecap.com/the-basics-and-methodology-of-projecting-the-nfls-compensatory-draft-picks/ quote from article: Methodology App. V, §2 lays out the process of calculating the value of CFAs. §2(a) begins the calculation as follows to all players in the league Start with the Average Per Year (APY) of the contract signed. Subtract from the APY any money that the compensatory formula does not count3. Rank these players by adjusted APY in descending order, and assign points to each player, equal to [number of leaguewide players]-[rank]. Add anywhere from 25 to 100 points for players who played a percentage of snaps on offense or defense in the range of 25% to 100%. (Kickers and punters are given a different point addition unrelated to snap counts.) Add 20 or 5 points for postseason honors as determined by the AP’s All Pro list, and the PFWA’s All NFL/All Conference list.
  10. I did too. It will happen when needed!
  11. Josh and Diggs will be doing some "Faith Hilling" at the right moments this year.
  12. That would be something to see. I do expect an OT (or maybe even 2) get a TD.
  13. It is a lot of what us Bills fans have been hoping for. The opposing Ds will have to pick their poison. If Josh can identify that look out. Got to add "sprinkles" of Gabe to the list.
  14. I understand your point totally. My point about the new TV contracts was along the lines of what Allen's % of the cap could look like compared to the others who sign after the TV contract renewal. While not a CBA change like you mentioned it could be significant.
  15. Of course it never ends. One point to keep in mind is the new TV contracts coming up. If they are as high as some speculate the QB salaries could skyrocket. Then Allen's contract could look even more "reasonable". That is my hope.
  16. Nice. I'm going to start using "Tompa Boy" Buccaneers. Thank You. The past is the past. This year is all that matters in football.
  17. By the time Baker, Lamar and Tyler Murray sign their extensions Josh Allen's contract will look like a sweet deal.
  18. KC should worry about getting "trapped" by the Eagles in Philly Sunday.
  19. She does seem to be a little............naughty from what I just read. LOL.
  20. I had to look that up. Phew, I'd say so.
  21. I have to trust the Process. McD will have them "hungry and humble". Chiefs have to go on the road for an early game in Philadelphia. Let them get "trapped"!
