  1. Nope. Dr. recommended leaving them in. It's been 20 years now with no issues. When I had the surgery I was playing a lot of guitar back then (finger board hand) and he told me no "physical therapy" could be better than that. He had me playing the next week. Side note: My company manufactured the screws and my best friend was the lead man for the area that made those particular screws! I told him they better work after the surgery and they did. LOL.
  2. Morris looked pretty good in PS but not sure how his blocking was. It looked to me like he could of used to put a few pounds on his frame. I'm thinking he gets the call up for the Miami game.
  3. Pro Football Reference has Chubb-Out but they have nothing about Hunt's game status on his calf. FWIW.
  4. After McDermott got the HC job back in early 2017 I believe there was already a "gentlemen's agreement" that Beane would be the eventual GM. There was a lot of speculation about this right after the Beane hire. I believe there was "conversations" between McDermott and Beane about the 2017 FA and the draft. I got no real evidence I just think that is what happened. Beane got 'spurned" from taking over the GM job during the whole Gettleman/Hurney/Beane thing and I believe he was done with Carolina. When Gettleman didn't get fired (he did a few months later only to have Hurney take over) he was already going to look for a new job. McDermott had to know all of this and they became a team as soon as Sean got the HC job. Hurney knew he f'd up and since has been a good friend with Beane thus the closeness between the two of them. Footnote: Gettleman went to the NYG in 2018 and has ruined the team since his return.
  5. I'm really starting to think this is a wise move at times. I think the key element is how well your DL or DL +1 blitzer perform.
  6. Exact thing happened to me some years back. People always say "pins" but usually means screws. I had 3 small screws implanted.
  7. I find it a little interesting working out so many WRs. 6 WR on main roster, Stevenson on IR (probably able to move onto the main roster) and Hodgins and Gentry on PS. Right now it seems all 9 are healthy. Probably just looking to upgrade from someone like Gentry or just looking for some guys in case needed later in the year.
  8. Do you know if he had the surgery today like you said earlier?
  9. Agree. It started when "blocking in the back" replaced clipping. Clips were illegal only below the waist. Some teams are much more disciplined than others in this regard. But yes it is called a lot but it's because the players are doing it. The holds have always been there on these plays. IMO.
  10. Thanks Promo. The image of the "death march" in my minds eye is too funny. I know 716 you are not a supporter of the downtown site and have used this no "benefit to the local economy" countless times. Having fans who come to a teams away game OR Bills fans flying in for the game is a significant number that the downtown would better serve than OP site. That's just a fact. As others have said many "better off financially" fans would skip tailgating. I know I would. I would expect the amount of people not tailgating would increase exponentially as the weather got worse. One other thing to consider is the actual building of the stadium. Contractors and construction crews are not all from the area and they will need hotels and restaurants when they stay in Buffalo. They will be much better served downtown than in OP. I still think the stadium (if built downtown) needs to be in the Father Conway Park across the river from Riverworks and the parking lots in the current abandoned Perry Projects RIGHT NEXT to the 190. That's where the parking lots should be. Stadium kitty corner in the park.
  11. I don't think it's got anything to do with the refs. It's the nature of the play setup. Guys running hard and fast in the open field and then a sudden turn as the returner moves by. It has really hurt the filed position (especially on punts) for the Bills this year and last night it took points off the board on a KR. It is a problem that Farwell has to get cleaned up. After the 2nd Titans drive in the 1st was stopped McKenzie had a punt return to almost midfield called back on 2 flags on the PR team. It's a lot of little things that can result in a win or a loss.
  12. Thanks. I haven't watched any post game pressers yet. When the play was happening in real time last night I was looking at the alignments and hoping Josh would change out of a sneak (it's what I was expecting the play to be). Learning moment for Josh. Daboll should bring in a few options for the checkout (he already may have some) for the future. The old cliché "it's a game of inches" was so true so many times last night.
  13. I should of worn my new Firebaugh Eagles hoodie. I AM SPARTACUS!!!
  14. Our issues as fans partially are some unrealistic expectations about the Buffalo Bills football team. They are very good team but are not going to win in all 3 aspects (O, D, STs) every game every series. Last night was a tough loss but it was caused by missed opportunities and bad execution against a good opponent. It seems to me fans put out their opinion of the one or two things to cause a loss like this but in reality it's a culmination of the entire play during the entire game. One thing that makes me feel less distressed today is the fact that if any of these were turned around last night the Bills would of come out the winner. This loss was nothing like the losses against the Chiefs and Titans last year. OL blocking, some better runs, too many wobbly passes just off the mark, tipped pass INT, penalties at the worse time, DL pass rush, D gives up a long TD run, red zone play resulting in FGs, called back KR TD, good punt return called back because of 2 flags, poor red zone play by the D, a 3rd down run a half yard short, and a 4th down QB sneak that had a slip on the grass to name just some of the details. Any ONE of these things changed and the Bills could of had the W. Titans played a game "just good enough" to win when the Bills played the way they played. Add a blocked punt in the 1st game and the team could be 6-0 but it's football and their opponents are playing their hardest to win too. On to the Miami game at home and hopefully a WIN. Go Bills!
  15. McKenzie is more than fine. Andre Smith had 2 brutal penalties in last nights game. One on a punt that brought the ball back from mid field and of course the backbreaker KO TD. Flags are the issue on returns not the returner.
  16. Tough loss to a soon to be division champion that now has the head-to-head on the Bills. Way too many should of, could of, would ofs, to even need to talk about them. 2 week for everyone to wait for the next battle. That's coaches, players and fans. “We few, we happy few, we band of brothers. For he today that sheds his blood with me, shall be my brother.” William Shakespeare
  17. Thank you. Let's not talk about Andre today. It was last years Titans game that he caused the 1st drive interception.
  18. No. I got it for the Sabres games but it doesn't have MNF. It did the 1st week with the Manning brothers. I added Orange package to my Sling Blue for this month to watch tonight's game. I didn't want to hassle with Bilasport or NFLBite tonight.
