  1. Shout out for the Sabres with a game winning goal with 10 seconds left. Team is turning around!
  2. Agree with quality of quantity but with the exception of CB. P and a KR none of these rookies will probably crack a starter role. They will be in the mix later in the season and next year. It's about filing the pipeline.
  3. Caution: LAMP It's what I have posted numerous times in these Bates threads. Beane played this perfect. IF Beane put a 2nd Round Tender on Bates no teams would of bid on him. Then the Bills would of had him as a starter at $4M for 1 year. Next year after Bates was starting he would be an UFA wanting a LOT more. Beane is playing "Pinochle" and the rest are playing "Go Fish".
  4. Stout is who I think they draft with a 6th.
  5. This is what I have been saying. Also, if Beane did the 2nd round tender for $4M and Bates accepted he would have to go through this whole thing again next year when Bates is a UFA. If Bates played well his price would then go up even more. I'm going to give this time and see what is really happening.
  6. Somebody should of tried to turn it off and back on again!
  7. Agree. If the owners and NFLPA put away 10% of their pay/profit share every year and invested the money it would be paying for a new team stadium every 30 years. These expensive stadiums should last that long. That comes to a new NFL stadium every year. If cities and owners want anything "bigger and fancier" they can pay the difference. It won't happen but it should.
  8. Adoree' Jackson and Gareon Conley both were drafted before Tre White. Bills seem to have a nose for CB talent. I'm hoping it continues.
  9. While I feel $5M is too much for Bates I think it's more about contract length and guaranteed money. That's a risk with a player with limited starts. Once DTs get tape on a guy he has to improve just to keep up. We all are eager to see what is in the contract offered by the Bears.
  10. We'll all see how opposing D's play it. I assume they will pinch up knowing Tua's weakness is the long ball. Teams couldn't do that with Mahomes. Hill will help Miami but to what degree remains to be seen.
  11. I think that the 2 2023 1st round picks would be a bad trade for both teams. Tampa Bay has a great chance to win the Division with Brady and in the weak NFC they could be in the SB. Why give that up for a couple of next year middling or later 1st's. On the other hand Miami would get a shot of the playoffs but what will they do at QB after that? Bridgewater has a fully guaranteed $6.5M 1 year contract and Tua would want out and be done in Miami. What could they get in a trade for Tua on his last year of his rookie contract next year worth $10M fully guaranteed and no draft picks? Like I said, stupid for both sides.
  12. Didn't Beane mention Tre in his presser last week? I thought I remember him saying he seen Tre working hard in the building and he wouldn't be surprised to see him back a little ahead of schedule. It is almost certain Tre starts training camp on the PUP list and hopefully comes off just prior to the start of the season. I can't see them having Tre on the Reserve/PUP List to start the season. He would have to wait like 7 games. While we all are concerned about the CB situation I have faith that Beane and McDermott will have this worked out by camp.
  13. Miami's first pick in the 2022 Draft is Pick #102 (3rd round comp). I hardly think they got the capital for another big trade.
  14. If OBD wants Jones back on a near vet minimum I can live with it. It will mean that most likely Zach Moss is inactive every week. I wonder if this move will lessen the chances of an RB being drafted?
  15. What happened during the Ralph Wilson years is over. All that matters now is Brandon Beane is the GM and he sets the parameters in which the FO works. Overdorf works under those guidelines and does a great job doing so.
  16. One thing I'm not sure of is this. If the total contract is X amount of dollars and the Bills match a front loaded contract can they restructure it a week later after it's signed? Does anyone know this?
  17. Marquez Stevenson is the next to get pushed off the 51 but his yearly signing bonus of $43,136 stays on the Top 51 total. Barkley is going to be around vet minimum so that leaves plenty for Shaq which I think will be around $2.5M.
  18. Not exactly. At the start of a new NFL year each team's cap is adjusted up or down accordingly due to these factors. Last week the Bills had their cap adjusted lower by $1.9M.
  19. Agree. Beane did a great job with this. Beane has enough on the books to cover Shaq and Barkley with some left over!
  20. FWIW Spotrac just posted Crowder's cap hit. $1,980,000. That's like one and a half game checks for Tyreek Hill.
  21. Spotrac just posted Crowder's Cap hit. $1,980,000. Nowhere near that $4M number. Great job Beane! https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/jamison-crowder-16831/
  22. Well I guess the NFL Salary Cap is real. $75M AAV for Mahomes and Hill would of been crazy.
  23. They are pretty thin at WR too. Thomas missed all of last year and only played half a season in 2020. They got the unusual ST/WR Deonte Harris and that's about it. Marques Callaway when called upon heavy last year did not play all that well.
  24. Armstead leaves in FA even though NO restructured every player on their team. What's up with that.
