Spencer Brown likely out vs Phins, back injury
ColoradoBills replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Mississippis? Exactly. No Mississippis in Buffalo. We counted "One Thousand One, One Thousand Two, One Thousand Three" back in the day. -
Miami players will be miserable in the damp cold weather.
-
Yep and the only trade I mentioned is more to address what seems to me McDermott's reactions to how the OL has played. It's seems the only thing that might get attention. I don't hear anything that would make me thing WR, TE, RB or CB.
-
For me after all that has happened he seems just an embarrassment to the team and the city. The less I see and hear from him the better.
-
I just don't see anything big happening with the Bills. Maybe a player swap (DL for an OL) if the money was about the same but that would be about it.
-
just win. How the W comes this week against the Dolphins will mean nothing come January.

First off Zero your post was well done and honest. Personally I think having you on the board is a plus. Regarding the bolded in a). You are not the first fan of a team with an "elite" QB to feel this way. I would wager some GMs and HCs have even thought this. QB is the most important piece on building a team but the reality is you still have to have a good team. Regarding the bolded in b). Too many fans (and GMs) believe the CAP is not a major hurdle. Allocating a teams cap IMO is the most important GM job AFTER getting a Franchise (hopefully Elite) QB. Any team can sign a large group of players to contracts even if they don't have the cap space but in the long run the cap is the "big equalizer" that can't be escaped. It's why drafting well lessens that cap issue and is critical in building and keeping a dominant team. It has to be so hard for a GMs/HCs to keep their heads in all of this when they see guys they would love to have on their team! Not drafting well, signing too many high dollar FAs that don't play to their pay and pushing out cap year after year IMO has ruined many of good football teams. It's a very tough balancing act. Brandon Beane has been both good and bad in these regards and something I hope he can continue to learn from going forward. KC has good bones and can bounce back quickly or they can compound their issues. I'm very interested in what they do going forward. I'm interested because the Bills are a year behind in a lot of these choices. FWIW.

One Thing You Still Want To See This Bills Team Prove?
ColoradoBills replied to wagne591's topic in The Stadium Wall
You can't be serious. -
It's been pointed out countless times. Beane has said it was a big mistake. They put their hope on an unproven McCarron and when that blew up they froze. However.......................... How then can a division rival (Jets) not know that fact? How can both the Jets GM and HC not look at the past few years of the AFCE division leader and see what was done right (and wrong) to develop their QB? How can these two guys who live their entire lives emerged in football not have learned the lesson that Brandon Beane had to learn the hard way? Just as Beane and McDermott both had to take heat for their actions in 2018 (just 3 seasons ago) so do Douglas and Saleh today.

The one I liked was "I don't know who had a worse week Sam Darnold or Joe Flacco".
-
That could happen and the Chargers could win 3 of the next 4.
-
Great team win again. Now the boys head out West. One Buffalo!
-
Well they had to go get some vet. That was obvious. Flacco is not some huge threat.
-
He was 0-4 with the Jets last year.
-
I watched him when he was with Denver. It was pretty bad but I see your point. Flacco has to play the Bengals, Colts and Bills in his first 3 games.
-
Looking at the AFCW schedule the next 4 games it's going to be CRAZY. KC is up against the wall and how they play these 4 games is everything for their season. KC: NYG, GB, LVR, DAL KC has a bye after the Cowboys game. LVR: Bye, NYG, KC, CIN LAC: NE, PHI, MIN, PIT Chargers had their bye last Sunday. DEN: WFT, DAL, PHI, Bye

Just watching that on NFLN. The Fantasy Live guys kind of laughed and blew it off. Ouch.

Will lack of Tough Games hurt the Bills?
ColoradoBills replied to PatsFanNH's topic in The Stadium Wall
You tell me. Do you think if the Pats* squeeze into the playoffs the same applies? Bills and Pats* play 14 of the same teams. Bills variable games this year for an AFC East team: Chiefs, Steelers, WFT Pats* variable games this year for an AFC East team: Chargers, Browns, Cowboys Does it help or hurt the Pats*? -
