  1. The cap for next year is already assigned at $208.2M which leaves the Bills at $9.4M in cap with 39 players under contract. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/2022/
  2. I'm willing to bet Beane is always concerned about his cap numbers.
  3. Spotrac has a market value on Levi of 3 years $17M. It seems about right so it will come down to cap. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/levi-wallace-25587/market-value/
  4. That goes without saying. It was fun to re-read the comments about the 2018 1st round (7th overall) pick today. If everyone in that thread ate what they needed to crow would be on the endangered species list.
  5. A minority coach. https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-owners-pass-resolution-rewarding-teams-for-developing-minority-coaches-execs
  6. Don't worry Pete, I'm sure Beane will take all the picks he can get and love every minute of it.
  7. Beane has all his 2022 picks plus another 6th (Darryl Johnson) and 7th (Lee Smith). Maybe a 3rd for Frazier like @Logicsaid earlier. Maybe one or 2 comps picks (who knows for sure yet). My other hope is IF some of these vet "cut" that people are talking about can turn into a trade by Beane instead of cuts the draft could get interesting. Beane would have some chances for wheeling and dealing.
  8. I haven't revisited this thread since 2018. Thank you for the trip down Memory Lane or what I like to call "Amnesia Lane". I wonder how many posters changed their names since then? Anyone still worried about the 2 2nd round picks the Bills wasted? Josh Allen was suspected of being anything from a "white supremist" to a "Jesus freak"! LOL. I'll LAMP here and say my only comment concerning the pick was that the Bills need to get Jordan Palmer to keep working with Josh. The first day of the 2018 draft turned out to be my best day as a Bills fan and that goes back longer than I want to think about.
  9. Nice. I'm all for the Bills scoring on every possession Sunday! It would be a nice showcase for Mitch in the 2nd half.
  10. But it is the exact slate of games being played this week whether it was a 17 game or 16 game schedule.
  11. This 17th game is full of Divisional games just like any other 16 season year. The extra week was made up of a non-conference game. I wasn't a fan of going to 17 and after this season I see no evidence of it being any great idea. If it's all about preseason then just dropping one game and staggering the home game every other year would of done it but it was all about the money.
  12. I hope for the same. Basham was "redshirted" this year in favor of Hughes and Addison, both of which will not be on the team next season. Carlos is another player who some have labelled a bust already because he doesn't dress and play every week. LOL.
  13. I get that many fans might think that Harrison Phillips recent good play could be "contract year" effort but I have to disagree with that. He seems to me to be an "all in" type player all the time. He needed a lot of work to get better and that was definitely interrupted with his injury. If and when he is re-signed his future effort is not one of my concerns at all. His availability, as of right now, is to some degree. I don't see him as a full time high impact DT but he is definitely worthy of split duty on this Bills DL for reasonable money. Teams need players like that. Especially teams paying a franchise QB big money.
  14. Harry's vet minimum is over $1M for next year.
  15. Exactly. That is also what makes being a sports fan so fun. I don't get why fans don't just watch the games and see what happens like we use to do.
  16. I can see that happening Bobby. A 3 year extension and take next year's cap down from $17M closer to $10M after they pay him a lot of cash in his signing bonus. I think it's a high possibility. He will cost a little more over $20M per year after that.
  17. LOL the Raiders just beat your "unbeatable" Colts last week, but please continue with your doomsday scenario.
  18. You do realize that it's a 50/50 shot the Colts end up with the #6 seed even with a win Sunday. If the Chargers win they are #6, if the Raiders win they are #7.
  19. LOL. I'm going with one team is 11 points above the mean per game and one is 11 under. I'm going with the Bills by 22. I NEVER post in game prediction threads but this is math and I'm all down with it! Go Bills.
  20. I just noticed that the Bills have a +177 point differential and the Jets have a -177 point differential.
  21. Diggs cap hit is over $17M for the next 2 years. When he signs an extension it will be for over $20M per. The Bills already got a lot of cap relief in his last 2 seasons. 2 years for a total of $21M. Big cap hits are inevitable with the exception of the year he signs the extension (2022 or 2023). I think whenever him and the team decides to pull the trigger on the extension is fine with me cuz he ain't going nowhere.
