  1. Sorry but Randy is the only Blue Boy around here.
  2. As of now I can't even consider outside FA signings until I see what moves are going to be made. I'm just very interested in the money side of the equation and I see it this way. If you go to the Spotrac site and click on the Bills FAs you FIRST got to ask who is Beane keeping? I say this because it's the #1 step going forward in the offseason for a GM. Then and only then do you reevaluate what your next moves are. In Beane's case for this year he has to cut/trade some players to free up money to look at other teams FAs. I would love for the Bills to be able to sign 1 or 2 big name UFAs but as of right now that will be very hard to do IMO. To add one more thing for the fans saying that the 2023 cap will go up a lot (which I agree it will) one thing will eat up almost all of that. Josh Allen has a $16.4M cap hit. His cap for 2023 is $39.8M which is a $23.4M bump. I am not saying in any way that Brandon Beane and the Bills are in any kind of "cap hell" at all. But what I am saying is Beane is aware of all the points I'm making and knows better than all of us what he can or can't do. I'm looking forward to see what he does!
  3. It doesn't matter. Here is what Beane is working with in 2022. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/
  4. I see your reasoning but the only thing that counts is who is signed for 2022 and how much cap is left. Examples of what I mean is Diggs had a $6.6M cap hit this year and it's $18.3M in 2022. Josh goes from $10M to $16M. Tre White goes from $6.8M to $16.4M. Edmunds from $4M to $12.7M. The reality is there are 39 players left on contract for 2022 and Beane has currently $11M in cap to work with. Who gets traded/cut and who gets signed is going to be debated and questioned for the next 3 months.
  5. I do too. Unfortunately, the reasoning makes sense for the candidates and the hiring teams. If teams had to wait until after the Super Bowl to interview coordinators and then decisions having to be made it really crunches timelines with the extra week 17 games. The Superbowl is Feb 13th and the Rookie Combine starts March 1st. What I don't understand is why don't they start the new season/combine/FA/Draft back a couple of weeks? Maybe they think that causes other issues?
  6. Devin put a lot of work in last off season and it seemed to change and elevate his game. Moss needs to make a jump in his game too if he wants to stay relevant in the NFL. I'm hoping he does.
  7. .......and Bates.
  8. An old Atlantic City comedian Charlie Prose use to tell that joke!
  9. He just said a couple days ago he put on some "winter weight" and is up to 245.
  10. I'm hearing this and will have to take your word for it as I'm not a huge college fan. The only 2 teams above them maybe in QB play is Detroit and Houston. Then the decision is whether to pick up Jones' 5th. If they don't then a tear down is maybe in play.
  11. I don't think Joe Schoen is going to be concerning himself too much about McKenzie. His biggest decision is QB. Keep Jones and pick up his 5th or trade up to #1 with the Jags and have his choice of QBs? He's got more than enough draft capital to do that.
  12. Yep I said the same. It will be interesting to see if Schoen has the green light to turn over the roster ala Beane and McDermott in Buffalo. Giants got a lot of picks but no money. I expect Joe trades/cuts some of the older high dollar players. Giants are now one of the teams I watch a little closer in the off season.
  13. Well there it is so congrats Joe. Let's hope that him and Beane can do some win/win trades!
  14. It's true some team might do that but only 33 WRs in the league make $6M a year or more. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/rankings/average/wide-receiver/
  15. He would be Beasley's replacement. I don't want to see Cole traded or cut but he is one of the few who will just be a cap casualty.
  16. Yep, and since he is back on the field he is playing his best at the WR spot. He started the last 2 games and I'm curious if he starts Sunday night. I guess we shall see.
  17. If he continues playing well he will be back in Buffalo on a 3 year deal next season. 3,4,5 million for the 3 years ($12M total) gets it done IMO. I don't see him wanting to leave and I see his best football is still in front of him.
  18. What good teams have developed a Day 3 draft pick QB in the last 10 years? Dak? He wasn't developed he was thrown into the starter role from day 1. Maybe Cousins and Foles. So, it comes down to a couple of guys out of 32 teams for 10 or more years. It just seems wiser to let other teams mess around with all that and get a backup with a little experience.
  19. With Josh signed for so long I just don't see the need to try to develop a rookie QB. Some proven backup level QBs fits the need. Backup QB has a big role in helping the 2nd string depth offense improve. Bring in camp arms every year and keep one on the PS squad.
  20. Jacoby Brissett is my UFA pick by far from the guys that are currently available. I don't think the Bills go with an old QB (someone over say 32). Josh is way past that need. Also, I don't see a guy that is too young and inexperienced. His pay is now trending down so he won't cost too much and a 2-year deal would be the ticket. If he fits in and settles in as a backup for the rest of his career, he could end up staying for a little longer.
  21. I liked " If you down 27-0 you should be banned from the playoffs for 2 years"!
  22. Wow some of those camera angles were just awesome!
  23. Thanks. This Annie Agar is an interesting young woman. I hope she is picked up by NFL Network and not ESPN. I can see a bright future for her! https://thesportssection.com/annie-agars-meteoric-rise-to-social-media-stardom/?utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter&utm_campaign=article-sharing
  24. I know same here. You can't stop the quoted stuff. I wish there was an option for that.
  25. I'm older than I care to think about!
