  1. Yep, those Ukrainian girls are pretty.
  2. I'm hoping Beane shows some FA interest in D'Ernest Johnson as a possible Zach Moss replacement. He would come pretty cheap and he has excelled when given a chance. Seems like a process guy and plays ST. Cleveland probably won't re-sign him if another team gives him anywhere near his $2.6M Spotrac Value. They got Hunt and Chubb along with 2 other RBs on the books already along with a FB. He had a horrendous 40 time his draft year of 4.8 but supposedly he has brought that down to 4.5.
  3. BPA in descending order of CB, DT, IOL, WR. There just has to be someone in those positions you don't have to reach for.
  4. League minimum.
  5. Singletary is the RB1 and if anyone can beat that out this year that's great, but I doubt it. Zach Moss most likely stays on the roster for this coming season unless some crazy thing happens. His question would be whether or not he is RB2 or RB3. If he is relegated to RB3 that would be the best thing for the team unless he makes big improvements this season ala Singletary last year. We all see the whole RB2 question as a draft v FA signing. FA comes first and I get a feeling that it may resemble last year's. There was a lot of bargains last season and I think there will be some again this year. It might mean that sites like Spotrac may be overvaluing a good number of the FA RBs. So I think they should look to FA first and if no bargains are there use a draft pick. Do the Bills get another FB/HB/TE type to replace Gilliam? What do you draft guys think of Jeremiah Hall from Oklahoma? Is he worth a late Day3 pick?
  6. I'm a huge fan of his! Bugs Bunny that is.
  7. Blocking in the back (and losing 10 yards) when the PR is calling a fair catch drives me nuts too.
  8. Congrats Matt. Please use the "Doctor's Creed" in your ST coaching. "First do no harm". I mean this not only from the squib kick controversy. I have always believed in solid, safe, ST play trumps trying to have big plays on STs. There is way too much turnover of players on ST so teach them to be smart first.
  9. I so agree with you. Cody Ford had potential but it seemed if anything he regressed. Don't know if it's all physical traits that are bad with him or if it's "in between his ears" but he'll get one more shot with a proven coach. If he can't improve during the summer with Kromer as OL coach he may not be on the roster in the fall. Tyrod was QB so who knows. LOL. If I remember correctly, it seemed good for the first 3 or 4 seconds and then not so good for the next 6.
  10. When Heath was hired he brought very little ST coaching experience. I thought it was a bit strange McDermott went with him. I mean Matt Smiley brings a lot more experience than Heath does. Like I said if they don't have anyone who is much more qualified I'm fine with Matt getting a chance too.
  11. Matt Smiley has been an Assistant ST coach since 2013 and with the Bills since 2017. Maybe it's time for him to get his shot. That is unless some proven ST coordinator is wanting to work for a winner.
  12. Not happening. I would however consider Bills trading their #1 for JAX #2 and their 2nd 3rd they got from Carolina.
  13. I do know that new HCs can start offseason workouts 2 weeks before the rest of the league. If that helps. https://operations.nfl.com/gameday/nfl-schedule/2022-important-nfl-dates/ April 4 Clubs that hired a new head coach after the end of the 2021 regular season may begin offseason workout programs. April 18 Clubs with returning head coaches may begin offseason workout programs
  14. Yes. But if he stays for this year they take a $9.27M cap hit this year and then the $2.6M next year. That's about $12M for his part time play. If they outright cut him they take a $7.7M to be done with it. That is why I keep saying the Bills should try to work out a retirement deal. Let him keep his signing bonus that they already paid him in return for him giving up his $2.5M guaranteed salary this year. His cap hit this year would be $5.2M and cap savings would be $4M.
  15. If he plays the full season this year the Bills are still on the hook for his $2.6M signing bonus cap hit next year.
  16. Smart move by Daboll. Davis would make more on their roster holding a clipboard than on the Bills PS. Webb helping Daniel Jones with Daboll's playbook would be worth the spot.
  17. The other thing is if Star is on the team this year he gets paid and has the cap hit not only for this year. They will owe another $2.6M next year. I've been a fan of Star earlier in his Bills tenure but now it looks to me like it's throwing good money after bad.
  18. I said it before, his heart is not in the game and he should retire.
  19. Really? I got no problem with it at all.
  20. Stepfon and Dion get 160 purple chips to mess around with in Vegas. Not a bad payday if you can get the work.
  21. Diggs with the TD! LOL!
  22. Jones just threw a nice TD to Renfrow.
  23. I do like the number side of the game and usually leave the "who" to those who know more about that than I. My job before retiring was all about presenting numbers and options to my upper management and let them make the hard choices. Although to do that properly you have to have a decent idea how that management thinks. When it comes to having some fun with all this I try to anticipate what Beane might be thinking. Beane restructured $17M last year and opened up another $6M is paycuts. I can see him doing that much again this year and maybe a bit more. It seems to me this year once again has a limited amount of cap chasing a lot of FAs. So there could be some bargains for a team like Buffalo to sign some decent players even with a tight cap. What I wish I knew is what the leagues GMs think the "big bump" in cap could be after the new TV contracts are signed for 2023.
  24. An extreme example is the Chiefs and Orlando Brown last season. He signed a $3.4M one year contract. Spotrac has his FA value at $23.3M this year. Whether or not people think he's worth that, he sure is getting a lot more than $3.4M.
  25. Could there be an argument made that the play designs minimized YAC? I'm not saying it's the only reason just asking.
