Their OL is bad. For all this "Bengals organization is great" they haven't done near enough on the OL. -
They could of went underneath for 8-10 yards and kick a FG.

Should be the Bills and Tampa Bay IMO. I don't want the Bengals to win but I can't root for the Rams at all. It's a puzzlement I tell you.

Sean McVay considering stepping away from coaching?
ColoradoBills replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
OK I was going by memory on the 2010 stuff. There was a lot more than Galette and Graham. I started watching all the NO stuff and their history around that time and after the Jairus Byrd signing. At the time I was all about signing FAs and pushing the cap. My conclusion was and still is this. It is as risky as any other roster building technique. A lot has to do with luck. -
Colts to either trade or cut Carson Wentz
ColoradoBills replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wouldn't want Wentz anywhere near OBD even if he played for free. Andy Dalton is going to cost a lot of money to be a backup. He signed for $10M with the Bears for a year. Why would the Bills pay big money for a backup? Brissett is not all that great but he can win as much as he loses with a good team. I also said a QB "like" Brissett. -

It would be an awesome story line. -

Welcome. I wouldn't consider him as backup material. All reports are he is not a "process" guy. -

He probably is busy planning his big reenactment for the 160 year anniversary of the Battle of Antietam. He's made his $100M+, why bother. -

Wentz, Dalton and Tyrod are all terrible backup prospects for the Bills IMO. Find a guy in his late 20's that has a chance to stick around for a few years. Don't draft guys in the 5th or 6th either. They are a waste of a pick. I'm sticking with someone like Jacoby Brissett as a possibility. -

I was thinking next season (this year). Yes it's 0 if they keep him one more. -

It's not bad. $15M Dead Cap Hit to cut him this March. -
Danielle Hunter, DE, the perfect trade candidate
ColoradoBills replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall
I so wanted Trey Hendrickson in FA last year. I'm waiting to see how he plays for the Bengals today. Much better of a move than going for Hunter this year. Signing Trey meant Beane could of passed on Boogie for Creed Humphrey. All that with Fournette for $3.5M would of meant a SB win IMO even with a couple bad coaching moves. I seldom do the, could of, should of, would of, but today's game is going to bring that out in me! -

Well said. Josh can turn it up when it really counts. A well executed screen game will give Josh another big weapon. -

New Orleans was below a .500 team during the 4 year span from 2013-2016. They wasted a lot of prime time Brees with very bad moves after they went crazy in FAs in 2010 and 2011. It's been 13 years since they have been to a SB. But you know all of that living down there. -

I do hope Beane can find a way to get an impact player or 2 on the team. I'm not sure if Hunter is that guy or not and also not sure what OBD thinks it can and cannot do. The one thing I want to comment on is the bolded. If fans don't think that Beane knows about this and is working the numbers they are fooling themselves. Beane knows full well what's going on and that is why his contract with Josh goes up $23M in 2023 from his 2022 cap hit. -
Offensive stat that needs to be improved - YAC
ColoradoBills replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall
The YAC stuff does not interest me because of what has been stated already BUT..... You make a good point on WR screens. I don't know if it was Daboll's design or just poor execution, but the Bills leave a lot to be desired there. Every time I see a WR screen coming they look telegraphed and slow to develop. Would love to see that improved. -
Sean McVay considering stepping away from coaching?
ColoradoBills replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
McVay may walk away after tomorrow or he could be setting up the Rams owner for a big bonus on returning for next year. He's got Stafford for one more year and most of the team is still together. They can take another mortgage out (everyone has 3 mortgages as Venkman tells Ray in Ghostbusters) and get one more chance before the whole Ponzi scheme comes apart in 2023. -

I'm hoping Beane shows some FA interest in D'Ernest Johnson as a possible Zach Moss replacement. He would come pretty cheap and he has excelled when given a chance. Seems like a process guy and plays ST. Cleveland probably won't re-sign him if another team gives him anywhere near his $2.6M Spotrac Value. They got Hunt and Chubb along with 2 other RBs on the books already along with a FB. He had a horrendous 40 time his draft year of 4.8 but supposedly he has brought that down to 4.5.

Bills are on the clock at #25
ColoradoBills replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall
BPA in descending order of CB, DT, IOL, WR. There just has to be someone in those positions you don't have to reach for. -
League minimum.

Singletary is the RB1 and if anyone can beat that out this year that's great, but I doubt it. Zach Moss most likely stays on the roster for this coming season unless some crazy thing happens. His question would be whether or not he is RB2 or RB3. If he is relegated to RB3 that would be the best thing for the team unless he makes big improvements this season ala Singletary last year. We all see the whole RB2 question as a draft v FA signing. FA comes first and I get a feeling that it may resemble last year's. There was a lot of bargains last season and I think there will be some again this year. It might mean that sites like Spotrac may be overvaluing a good number of the FA RBs. So I think they should look to FA first and if no bargains are there use a draft pick. Do the Bills get another FB/HB/TE type to replace Gilliam? What do you draft guys think of Jeremiah Hall from Oklahoma? Is he worth a late Day3 pick?
