  1. Perfect, thank you Colts. Gives McDermott and Fraizer good options to see what guys can do against a 1 offense. As to the Colts decision, I would rather have Ryan start the first 2 PS games and sit out the 3rd to get acclimated if it where me.
  2. So true. What I just starting to consider is beyond the normal rotation, the options Washington and Frazier have in situational alignment. Pure passing, short yardage and the like, they will have a lot of choices with melding both the 1s and 2s with some interesting combinations. It's an interesting set of skills and talent and I'm really hoping Beane and company have finally got this DL thing done right.
  3. I have been so excited about the Von, Oliver, Jones, Groot starting lineup I have to admit I have not thought much about Tim (great first name) Settle. I was happy with the signing, but if this guy can repeat/exceed what his 2020 stats were (5 sacks, 5 TFLs) with only 33% of the snaps, it could be fun to watch.
  4. How about Josh and a Bison BIGGER than Paul Bunyan and Babe?
  5. I use Capfriendly as it's the best Hockey site there is. Hockey is so much more complicated than football with prospects, 2-way contracts, etc. For football it's Spotrac for me. It's much more user friendly than OverTheCap IMO.
  6. Ron White on DWI "I had one DWI, which was a bogus charge, because it turns out they were stopping every vehicle driving down that particular sidewalk. That’s profiling. And profiling is wrong."
  7. First off Watson and the Browns make me a sick over this whole distasteful incident. My choice would be an indefinite suspension. However, if I was Watson and the Browns, I would want a full year suspension. By the start of next season, a lot of this will blow over and be forgotten. Having him come back after 12 games could end up being worse than just losing the year IMO. He certainly wouldn't start the following week on the road in CIN so the earliest he would see the field would be at home against the Ravens. That could be a tough game to start after all the time off. Going on the road to Washington DC and Pittsburg I believe would be a bit of a circus while everything is fresh for the media. Factor in his not playing in almost 2 years the chance of him playing poorly would just add fuel to his opposition. If he does only get a 12-game suspension my hope is that his return to end the season is a disaster.
  8. Well, that jinxed me. LOL Thanks.
  9. Agree, Jones to start the series and Phillips in passing downs.
  10. Thanks for your input. My whole reasoning behind that post was, do fans really think that the Bills would keep 2 gunners that give next to nothing to their assigned positions? I would think it would come down to Jones's age and the difference in Jones v Kumerow as gunners. If they are somewhat close in their ST roles, I give Kumerow the nod. All that being said, my preference would be a guy like Bernard who gives you LB and ST depth. We all hear about the importance of ST play but we also hear that McDermott want guys that have multiple talent. The roster is mostly locked and it's the few roles like these that are debatable.
  11. Agree. Edmunds stays or Bernard takes over. It's up to Edmunds to prove his worth this year.
  12. I just posted about that in the Depth Chart thread. I would like to hear your opinion on my post.
  13. OK this thread is better than any to discuss Kumerow. I also want to add I was very hopeful when he came to Buffalo but this is a playoff/high powered offense coming this season. First let's look at Jake as a WR. In his 2 years in Buffalo, he has a total of 3 catches on 7 targets for 50 yards, 1 TD on 133 snaps. The word we hear from his low WR numbers is he has a hard time getting separation. He's 30 years old and anyone thinking he will "break out" as a good WR in the NFL is fooling themselves IMO. Second let's look at Jake on ST. In 2020 Jake was not a "core" player on ST but evidently played well on his 95 snaps (21%) for the Bills. He also was never a core player in his 2 years on GB. In 2021 Jake was a "core" player (non-kickers/returners/LS) ranked 7th (61%) of the 8 in snaps of the core players. He played very well. In 2022 it is looking like all of the other 7 core players are returning with Andre Smith not getting back until week 7. The 7 returning ranked by snaps are: Matakevich, Gilliam, Jones, Neal, Dodson, Johnson, Smith. My conclusion is while Jake was a core player on ST for 1 year and with the return of the rest of the core players this year, I find it hard to believe he is "indispensable" and a lock for his ST play especially since Terell Bernard is a seasoned college gunner. We all have heard he did very well in that role. The only way I see the Bills having room for Kumerow on the roster for his ST play is if he is going to replace Taiwan Jones as a perennial special team gunner. I can't see the Bills keeping both (and they would be foolish if they did), so who is it? Jones or Kumerow?
  14. Crazy thing is Becton's depth is Chuma Edoga who has ended up on the Jets IR 2 out of his 3 seasons. I see a Beane trade netting a 6th for Bobby Hart coming soon. Jets have no 7th round picks.
  15. If Hodgins has 3 great preseason games, my hope would be he makes the roster.
  16. The past is the past, I don't like all the comparison stuff. The Mahomes-Allen talk will be over this year. Next year it will be Allen-Mahomes.
  17. Interesting when Reggie talked about Ken Dorsey's statement to the offense in OTAs that everyone will learn multiple positions.
  18. Mongo just pawn in game of life.
  19. I always believed it's because the OL is such a visibly negative position. If you judged all the DL players on let us say sacks, there would be a lot of players left wanting. It's a thankless position for even an average player.
  20. Red with a blue stripe down the middle.
  21. I've been bringing this up to certain posters. Never got a reply after asking 3 times. I just did KC and the AFC East. Thanks for doing the work for the league. Bucs are loaded for their last chance at a SB. My guess would be the OL depth league wide is even scarier.
  22. He's a vet and whatever he signs for is guaranteed. My note: No team is going to sign him until he can pass a physical. If at that time the Bills need a WR they should look at him.
  23. I'm not putting the cart before the horse yet. I want to see how Matthew Smiley has the STs playing in the preseason.
  24. I have to think that Matt Ryan being new to the team he and most of the 1's have a couple of series. I hope so. I want to see the D against them.
  25. You didn't get the memo? Bills are running the wishbone this season.
