  1. The only difference from my 53 roster is Kumerow for Hodgins and McCloud kept. Edit: Also, Hart for Mancz (that's confusing) I am still assuming Barkley ends up on PS. 55 on the tweet minus Barkley and Smith is 53. Someone will have to be moved to sign a punter by Thursday. Tre going to PUP seems likely now. Does this also mean Stevenson is cut/injury settlement?
  2. LOL. That adds up to 6,500 in draft value!
  3. LOL, that took me a second.
  4. It costs $450k more to keep Morris and cut Howard.
  5. I think Morris is kept in case Knox is injured. He probably is one of the guys that doesn't dress every week. The only thing about Sweeney is they feel he can be stronger and Kromer helps his blocking. If it isn't that, I don't know what the plan is.
  6. Sure, it would have been nice if Howard could still move. He didn't look good in preseason and there wasn't a lot of positive talk about him during camp. I was for the signing, but it just ended up being a miss. The flip side is, if he was kept and played bad fans would criticize Beane for keeping him because of the cap money. It's a lose, lose situation and it seems they want the best players possible.
  7. McDermott and Beane disagree. We are fans watching what they do. All of us have opinions that they disagree with. I'm not a huge Sweeney fan but my hope now is he can improve his blocking with help from Kromer.
  8. I see the OJ Howard cut and cap hit this way. If they kept Howard, it costs $255k more than if they cut him. They want Morris over Howard, and it works out like this. Morris costs $705k $705k - $255k = $450k The bottom line is Howard did not look good and it's a "cut your losses" now instead of him taking up the roster spot and not playing well. $405k more to keep Morris over Howard in the sense of keeping a better player (who is cost controlled next year too at $870k) is not horrible to me. Beane had a swing and a miss but no sense doubling down on poor play for the money. I too thought OJ would be much better than how showed.
  9. McDermott keeps 6 LBs every year. Smith to Commish List and Spector can be the 6th. No decisions need to be made until Smith is eligible to come back. Gilles-Harris is the only wildcard.
  10. True. I will say Blackshear has some skills and I really hope he can hang on the PS and develop. Next year the Bills will only have Moss and Cook come March and having Blackshear signing a futures contract would be nice.
  11. Agree with this. If the Bills follow their past history and only dress 2RBs, Jones and Gilliam then Zack Moss becomes a lot more expendable. Even if it happens, I think Moss stays but an argument for a trade can be made. They have needed to do this because of all the other ST players dressing. If they plan on all 5 dressing and have another plan for ST then Moss for sure stays.
  12. Has Tom been seeing Michael Jackson's old doctor?
  13. Without those continuous streams of electrical impulses, he would collapse like a bunch of broccoli.
  14. They both took the best option available to them.
  15. Technically you don't totally protect any practice squad players. Each game week you can protect 4 PS players early in the week. This is so any players that may be needed and "elevated" for that week cannot be poached by another team. The catch is after the week these players go back onto the practice squad and are eligible to be poached every Tuesday. No PS player is completely protected.
  16. I'm glad you rephrased Morris. As for Sweeney his is a borderline TE3 JAG / PS TE in my opinion. Lots of JAG TEs in the league every year.
  17. PS could be an option.
  18. Morris has a chance to develop. I mean there was a lot of this board calling Knox "a scrub" at the start of last season. 'member?
  19. Agree. Teams can bring up to 8 back with the new rules. There are only 3 guys (that we know of) injured that MAY go to IR. Stevenson, Doyle and now maybe Morris. None sound very serious. They got options to move 1 or 2 to IR and it seems they would all be "returnable". Compared to other teams the Bills did well injury wise throughout the off season. Let's hope that extends into the regular season and playoffs! Too much cap for those guys. Now during cutdowns I expect THESE GUYS to be prevalent on this board.
  20. Doesn't sound like any contract extension this season. I've been praising Beane for not signing any of the big-name guys until after this season. Too many variables and everything will look a little clearer next March.
  21. NE secondary is a lot weaker than it has been. They will give up more points than last year and the O will score less. No way they end up anywhere close to 3rd in net points like last year.
  22. I suffered from the gout years ago. Take meds to avoid it now. It was some painful $#!).
  23. No such luck with a trade IMO. Not sure what they were wanting earlier in the year but it's too late now. Nobody wants that contract now. The only way would be some sort of trade with a "salary dump" like in hockey, LOL.
  24. It sure is. Honestly hope it's not serious but maybe............................
  25. The whole idea of trades at this time of the year has to do with 2 exceptions. 1. Teams way down the waiver list sometimes do a trade for a player they know will get claimed above them. 2. Vet cuts allow a vet to choose where he goes. A trade locks him into the trading team. Doesn't happen too often, but it does make sense at times.
