  1. Of course there's nothing to worry about. The 3 oldest players all 34 are a ST gunner, OL (who will be replaced) and a backup QB. If those 3 guys were replaced by 22-year-old rookies, it drops the team average age by .6 of a year. Math is fun.
  2. Come on Brandon, still waiting to see what TE you sign to the PS. I was hoping for Ryan Izzo but the stupid Panthers signed him for minimum.
  3. Not totally sure what you mean by re-worked but I can see Josh starting to restructure next March to help with cap hits. His contract has a lot of flexibility that Beane can use until this new TV deal is done and the future cap $s are known.
  4. I agree. It's not just AAV. The structure of Josh's contract is very team friendly as compared to Mahomes and of course all these fully/almost fully guaranteed contracts. I really was amazed that after the 2025 season Josh has another 3 years left and they are "pay as you go" with the dead cap. His contract begs to use restructuring (especially his big 2025 hit). Allen's cap hits for 2027 and 2028 are $40M and $41M respectively!
  5. It has to be longer than 2-3 years for an out. The deal has $165M guaranteed. These contracts always have more money guaranteed if he is on the team every year after the first 5 days into each season. Mahomes and Josh's contracts already have a lot more guaranteed than when they signed. An example is Mahomes this year. He had another $33M in future guarantees levied this March. Josh has the same type of deal, but it is for a lot less future money guaranteed. Like you said we need to see the details, but I see 4 years minimum for an out.
  6. I remember when that happened. Now Jake's cap hit is $895,000.
  7. Kumerow was a FA. He could have signed anywhere. He signed in Buffalo for vet minimum. I mean, just saying. He is also on the Veterans Cap Benefit Rule which is to help vets get signed to 1-year contracts. Teams pay his full salary, but the team get a cap hit discount to entice them to sign borderline vets.
  8. Spotrac has the 4 vets getting $277,200 a year. That the vet minimum of $15,400 a week. A lot is happening at once so it might take them a little while to get all the specific details on every guy. FWIW Spotrac has Bills cap space at $6.3M but again got to give them a little more time to be sure.
  9. I was wondering why he made the PS with Austin and Hodgins. I bet he is just a placeholder for Stevenson.
  10. I wonder what kind of TE they are looking for. An all-around utility guy? If Morris is a "Knox backup" maybe they may want an in-line blocker who catches a few balls for a Sweeney replacement. If I remember correctly Ryan Izzo was used that way in NE. He still is only 26, as an example.
  11. Has to be a decent PS TE who wants to come to Buffalo. With Morris and Sweeney agents should be tripping over themselves to get their guy here. Pick a good one Brandon.
  12. Another raw 6'6" lineman. I guess they got a "type".
  13. He disagreed.
  14. Probably more of a toss-up. Cam will be cut when Tre comes back.
  15. HAVE to get a TE.
  16. How can a team claiming a Bills cut be a mistake? Did you think his preseason play deserved a 53 roster spot?
  17. I'm a broken record. Seems the guys from other teams will be a TE, DB (CB and S). Nice to get Mancz on the PS.
  18. Could be a 5 next year after Crowder is gone. Making the cut on a good team is not a bad option for him at this time if he can hang next year. Kumerow was on the bubble this year and will always be on the bubble.
  19. Cam Lewis. But it was close. Cam will be cut when Tre comes back.
  20. I will venture to say Beane and company are very happy after the waiver signings. Alot of effort and resources went into these guys. With the exception of McCloud the better cuts are all on the PS.
  21. It's because we are better than the rest.
  22. McCloud was someone I thought would make the 53 yesterday. Sad to see him go. Keeping Love over Jonathan is a wash. Tanner Owen was not impressive from what I seen. Same with Tenuta. Like I said in my earlier post, Beane needs to look for TEs, DBs and OL (Mancz signed) only for the PS.
