After the Division champions I have a very hard time finding 3 other NFC teams who will make the Wildcard spots above them. That being said I also think with their schedule and the difference of the 3 teams that GB plays they got a good shot at the NFCN champs. Once the playoffs start in the NFC, I would not want to bet on who ultimately makes the SB. Some points I would make are: 1. I think the defensive minded HC Zimmer held back the offense for years. Their new HC Kevin O'Connell had been the Rams OC for the last 3 years. He should get the most out of Kirk Cousins. 2. Last year they led a lot of games only to play safe at the end resulting in losses. 3. Even with all that they only lost 1 game by more than 1 score. Vikes next 4 games are against the Eagles, Lions, Saints and Bears. That should tell if I'm full of doodoo or not.

Ravens and Lamar do not reach contract agreement
ColoradoBills replied to Steel City Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
Of course the money is always there. Just seems Lamar want a lot more than Josh Allen. If true, he wants $40M more on the same year-term contract as Josh. A bit lower in guarantees. BUT when Josh signed a contract with $150M in guarantees it was signed in his 4th year of his rookie contract. That $150M included his 4th and 5th year rookie contract guarantees. (That's part of the agents "Look at me numbers"). Lamar is signing in his 5th year option year and is essentially the same as JAs contract guarantees and he wants a $40M increase. Josh was smart IMO because he will play 2 years without injury worries on his signed contract. Lamar is gambling with a lot of money, and I personally think he is a fool but he's a grown man and can do what he wants. -
OK, but then it could be said you'd want to add as many defenders as possible, zone it up and keep everything in front of them. Mahomes may still score but at least he'll do it at a slower pace. It's a tough choice, although what they did sure didn't work.

So true. Also, bad OLs stunt young QB development. For me, putting together a decent OL has to be one of the hardest things for a GM/HC to accomplish. You have 5 starters, and you just can't throw $s at it. Add at least 2 decent depth players and putting it all together for even 1 season (let alone multiple) has to be a nightmare. A team can have some weaker starters on the DL or WRs and still get production. It just takes one or two weak links on an OL for the whole unit to be subpar. Having the right high $ vets as anchors, a few guys on rookie contracts and some vet fillers all coming together to make a good unit just adds up to more misses (as a whole) than hits. Then trying to figure out schemes of blocking vs the players talent and having a balance of some sorts, between pass protection and run blocking.........well, I wouldn't want to try to figure it out. An OL coach like Kromer would have to have input as to what he needs. I'm hopeful that is what's happening in Buffalo.

Since TB left, BB has been playing a shell game with scheming all different things. I also think the Patriots mystique has helped them win some games. Starting at the end of last season all that started to fall apart. This year's free agency did not help the situation at all. BB has nothing left to work with and teams are smelling blood in the water. BB should have retired, but I truly believe that TB success without him is killing his ego.

Dak out 6 to 8 weeks now what for the cowboys
ColoradoBills replied to oldschoolfootball1963's topic in The Stadium Wall
It may for some in the short term. Cowboys are stuck with him for years. His contract is untradeable and has become a "poster child" of risk in creative cap financials. They started his contract with a void year and have already restructured him twice. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/dallas-cowboys/dak-prescott-19089/ So, if he does keep playing bad Jerry and the 'boys have their hands tied. I don't see anything like that happening (see my above post). General Note: When team use the Void Years and Restructures, most times it works out OK. When situations like this happen it can cause a team to blow everything up and start over. Restructuring players who get injured often and/or players whose play falls off is a killer. Especially when a player has a "No Trade" clause like Dak has. He can stop any trade he doesn't like. -

That was so bad on Dak. -
The Vikes are my sleeper team in the NFC this year. I will look like I knew what I was talking about or be adding hot sauce to my crow.

Yep. Anything about any stadium will have "confusion" after it. 😄 -

Scoreboard confusion. -
I don't look at that way. The Bills DL is stouter. But the big change is in the Titans themselves. Changes in the OL and they look lacking in the WR/TE department.

Dak should give some of his money back. -
Cousins is not elite, but the Vikes did him no favors going through OCs like crazy. He had a new OC every year he was in Minnesota. John DeFilippo Kevin Stefanski Gary Kubiak Klint Kubiak That's just stupid. Now with a new HC and OC let's see. The got some talent.

I also think you had the Vikes a little high BUT I got them as my NFC sleeper team. Plus, when fans start seeing who they are playing week in and week out....................! https://www.vikings.com/schedule/

Seeing TB at his recent pressers, he just didn't look in football shape. He's got all kinds of weapons and has done it forever. Will be interesting for sure.
