  1. The NFL competition committee sites by doing what they do, they do not unduly penalize a team with a lot of injuries. That knife cuts both ways.
  2. Remember when so many fans laughed at "The Process"? Remember when McDermott only wanted "Choir Boys"? Remember when Brandon Beane didn't know wide receiver talent?
  3. I totally agree. The thing is a PS player can only be called up 3 times in a season. Calling him up 2 times by Week #3 is not ideal for me.
  4. As much as some fans overvalued Blackshear there are just as many who undervalued him. He made the PS and that's a tough thing to do with this team. I miss any PS player poached. He had a lot of time with the club and may have been useful during the season.
  5. I'm not 'expecting" Ed back but being elevated from DNP last week to Limited is a trend in the right direction. IF it ends up that Phillips is the only No Go, it's pretty good for the Bills. They probably dress the other 8 and skip elevating any PS players.
  6. I personally would have thought Duke Johnson would be getting poached before Blackshear. Always a chance that Baa Baa gets signed to the Bills camp next season. I'm still not 100% convinced that Devin will not be extended next season. If he willing to do a 3 year for reasonable money.
  7. I wasn't back tracking to your post. I was commenting on the "Bills are playing offense too" aspect. There was all kind of "concerns" about the Bills D against the Titans and no real offset with the offense. I'm starting to see the same thing with Tua and the WRs.
  8. Agree, but I would add that so far, the Miami RBs are just as potent in the check down/screen passes as actually running the ball. The RBs have averaged 62 yards in their first 2 games. Pass rushing and quickness might be more important this Sunday. Edmonds and Mostert are both smaller, quicker RBs. They are the opposite of a Henry.
  9. I'm so glad someone opened up the subject of McDermott CBs vs how these CBs perform out of his system. Levi Wallace was a more than capable CB for the Bills throughout his 4 years with the team. While I'm not a fan that takes stats too seriously this is one stat I'd like to share. During Levi's 4 years in Buffalo, he had a passer rating under 80. Not a bad 4-year statistic. So far in Pittsburgh Levi has a 101.3 passer rating. While on its own it doesn't prove much but it's another notch in the "McDermott gets the most out of his CBs" holster. My Dad used to use that term. A good one from the WW2 generation!
  10. I said this in the Titan game posts and already have said the same thing in the Dolphins game posts. The thing is there is a contingent of posters that together post about 10-15% of the replies on this board who will not listen to anything positive about this team. I have learned to not take the bait no more. You know you need that bait to troll. The Bills have a tough game ahead of them on the road, especially with some injuries. They will be favorites. After that being said, there is no logical argument that can be made to these "fans".
  11. I'm not sure of those stats. I can believe them. It needs to go down IMO. Every year he gets older. He needs to save those rushes for playoffs.
  12. Exactly. Yesterday the Titans filled the box a lot and had the football thrown down their throats. Let's see what next week brings.
  13. ...over the septic tank.
  14. It was evident yesterday they don't want Josh running the way he has in the past. That's OK with me. Seems to me the team has put the emphasis on the pass pro for the OL which can be confirmed by the fact they can throw the ball anywhere they want to. The weather is fine and passing the ball all over the place seems to be the smart move. They got plenty of time to bring around the running game as time goes by.
  15. After the Milano TD it was time to sit some starters anyway. You answered your own question. Let's see tomorrow where all the guys are at.
  16. I was back in Buffalo for the Freddy "drop". It was brilliant. I will admit Kumerow looks a lot more in tune with his WR duties than I saw from him last year. I'll eat a crow wing. I like your snap management comment. I suspect we are seeing that in more positions than WR too. It's a smart move to address the long season and a playoff run.
  17. I think it would be wise to let Brandon Beane and McDermott do what they think is best. I see no reason to tweak the roster unless players end up on IR. Speaking of IR, moves will need to be made to get Tre, Andre Smith, Ike and Stevenson back to the roster or in Stevenson case, maybe the PS. Cole Beasley just went on the Buc's PS. Does any Bills fan not think that any player not signed right now would give their eye teeth to get to the Bills PS, let alone the 53 roster. I for one have given up trying to outthink OBD. They know much more than I can even pretend to know.
  18. Great idea having all this injury news in 1 thread. Maybe the mods could pin this. It sure would declutter the front page. As to all the injuries, all these guys can rest and recuperate the best they can and let the depth take the snaps during the week. All of them can just do mental reps and be a part of the walk throughs. We just got to hope a good part of them can be ready for Sunday. Bryant and Brewer have already been called up once (they only get 3 during the year) so I'm going to watch Oliver, Settle and Phillips closely to see their progress.
  19. Haven't people seen that the entire back 7 for the Bills have been flying around like crazed assassins these first 2 games? It's no doubt a result of the new scheme of the DL and the great results they have had. Edmunds is no exception, and none of us know what kind of player he would have been if the D played this style the last 4 years. What I see is Edmunds and Milano (along with Poyer and Hyde) being "released" to play fast and furious and it's working great. I did predict (after all the Bills don't need to blitz talk) that Edmunds would get a sack yesterday. The run blitzing derailed Henry too. What future Edmunds ultimately finds himself in, I don't know yet. I do know I like what I'm seeing.
  20. I think I can give all the RBs and Gilliam a little time to let Dorsey, Kromer and Skipper establish their plan with the running game. It obvious that after the OL being reschemed, that they need to get some film to determine what needs to be timed out better. Josh also has to work with the new scheme when he does go into the RPO mode. It's obvious that the passing game is getting most of Dorsey's attention right now. Give the guy some time to work up the running game. I am happy that Josh only had 1 run. Taking him more out of the running game and replacing it with the RBs will be good in the long run.
  21. Dane Jackson is one tough SOB! I'm also sure that the good news brought a tear of relief to Tremaine and the teammates. Go Bills!
  22. He looked good when he had the ball pitched to him. That's somewhere to start.
  23. True. Grit. sorry for that, I still can't sleep.
