  1. FWIW, I use the CBS site for injury lists for all teams. They also have Shepard as out with an ACL. I'm sure it's not 100% accurate and up to date by the minute but it's pretty good. It's a good starting point. For those interested Miami is pretty banged up going into Thursday game. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/injuries/
  2. Maybe he is really sneaky at it. Only 3 other false start penalties does show a tendency of discipline.
  3. Everything you say is possible. What none of us know is what Tre has been able to do on his own (of course with approval from medical people). So, we wait until next week to see if it's longer or he can hit practicing literally on the run. My hope is he's good to go next week and can be ready for the KC game.
  4. Looking at his stats I see one that's interesting. In just under 1,600 offensive snaps, he's had 3 false starts and 0 holding penalties.
  5. Wow, the sarcasm meter's needle is pegged this week. Welcome aboard Justin. Go Bills!
  6. I know, that's why I said it's never really been done before. It would only be a good will thing. As to going forward with any other restructures, I think Beane will be as frugal as he can and only do things to contracts if he needs to.
  7. That "vet" discount rule is still in effect under the new CBA. Bills have a few players under the rule this year.
  8. Nope. Josh could free up a couple of million with a restructure. Some other guys could go with a void year. All that just throws the money immediately into next year's cost. So not sure what Beane will do. Funny you mentioned Edmunds. I tried digging any info up on whether a 5th year option player has ever done a restructure (without an extension) but couldn't find anything. It would be weird, but I don't see any rule saying it can't be done. If Rhodes signed a vet minimum it would cost about $1M. If he wanted more it could have a void year attached. I guess it's an option.
  9. It seems pretty clear to me that the Ravens game this Sunday along with the KC and 2nd Miami game will tell the story.
  10. Drugs are bad, makaay.
  11. While I have not. I still think the Bills have the inside shot at the #1. The injuries will need to stop now but all the top AFC teams will lose multiple games during the season.
  12. The NFL Cap is a hard cap. You can't go over. All players cost in $s count against the cap. 53 Roster IR PUP Reserve/Suspended Practice Squad Dead Money As to your question about guys going on IR there are certain rules as to the "cap cost". If a vet (aka Tre White) goes on IR his entire cost is "charged" to the cap. If a player less than 4 years (aka Marquez Stevenson) only a prorated portion is charged. What the exact formula is I can't remember. Stevenson (as an example) would have had a cap hit of around $800k if he was on the roster healthy. While he is on IR he has a cap hit of $500k. There are also "injury/waived settlements, but that player has to be released and cannot be re-signed by the team. Yes, see above.
  13. I was disappointed after the loss but not upset at all. My concern going forward is the residual aftereffects of the game. The guys need to get as healthy as possible for Sunday. Slipping into Baltimore and coming out with a win (of any kind) would be a huge victory for the team! They get a bit of relief the following week with the Steelers at home.
  14. There may not even be a 1st round ranked Center next draft. They need to draft a C/G and another OL but what rounds cannot be known yet.
  15. I watch the snap of every kick. There has been a number of snaps this year a little high. I've seen a number into the holder's body. Too far to the right if looking from behind. I'm assigning no blame to any of the 3 (snapper/holder/kicker) on the miss, it seems they need to keep working on this. The whole process just doesn't look as smooth as I have seen in the past.
  16. Injured again with a hamstring.
  17. There is a long, long list of teams with bad OLs. Morse needs to get healthy fast. He's the anchor and is needed back.
  18. Well, you can't say Danny 10c didn't do what he was supposed to do.
  19. This game turned into a pretty fun one. Let's see Daboll get that score back.
  20. That's all I'm saying. I'll add that when Crowder was with Washington, he did some sweeps too. Dorsey is new and he has some time to adjust, but he has to do something to get some eyes off of Josh 100% of the time.
  21. Every game the RBs get one or even 2 long runs but that is not the result of a great play. It's just an odds thing with me. What I see happening is defenses are pushing straight into the Bills line every play, whether it's a pass or run. These shotgun handoffs have the RB more or less standing and once they get the handoff the D is already on them. The long runs happen when the RB can somehow get through all those guys and then see daylight. I speculate that not a lot of play designing, and practice is happening in the run game. I don't say they need to start running often, they just need something other than what they have been doing. Some pitches (as I've said) and some jet sweeps to start. McKenzie had a sweep for 6 yards, and they never went back to it.
  22. 6-6, the game is heating up!
  23. Thank you. The crazy part is Cook had a couple of pitches during the preseason, so it's in the play book. From what I see Cook can get up to speed pretty quick. I'm waiting patiently to see it.
