  1. It keeps going. They play the Chargers next Monday night.
  2. Trainers need to oil Ryans wheelchair.
  3. Here is a data driven article on close games. You may or may not like what it says. It's only 4 years old....so add to it if you want. http://www.optimumscouting.com/news/nfl-s-close-game-analytics-how-lucky-wins-or-losse Interesting quotes: The truth of the matter is that studying how teams earn their wins and losses the one year can tell us a lot about what their next season is going to look like. Many will say “stats are for losers,” but teams which win a bunch of close games in one year tend to have drastic negative regression the next year. ......... Teams which win close games get worse the next year. Teams which lose close games get better the next year. The NFL has basically incentivized this phenomenon with their salary cap, draft and schedule systems.
  4. Not only Crowder not going to IR, which is puzzling, is there any word on how Kumerow is recovering?
  5. I use the Pritchard Scale.
  6. Tre works his way back in at LCB. Looking forward, it's Dane Jackson's future that is very murky. How much are the Bills willing to pay him next season? He's a RFA next year and there is no way he stays on the Bills for an "original round (7th) tender". Multiple teams will give him offers. The Bills could match whatever that cost is but will they with Elam and Benford needing to play. Putting a 2nd round tender on him probably ensures he stay but it's a one-year deal at $4.3M. Once again, is that too much for depth if Elam and/or Benford can play. He would be an UFA the following year and most likely moves on anyway. Neither choice is great for the bottom-line Bills point of view. I really like Dane but it's going to be a numbers thing next season. It's a slim chance, but he may be a "tradeable" asset by the deadline. If not, I think the Bills end up losing him for a 7th in 2024.
  7. He took 57 snaps the first 2 games. He had only 28 the last 2 games. I don't know why but once the DL gets back to normal maybe it will go back up.
  8. I never liked Zach Moth.
  9. Devin is an UFA in March so you might get your wish. Until next year nothing else will happen.
  10. So, what is your recommended actions? Do the Bills cut Devin? Demote him to RB3? What is the bottom line here?
  11. He's not going to be ready until November of even December. If the Bills were interested, it would be because they do have an opening for him. He signed with LA last November for $1.25M, but he made another $3M in incentives. If he wants the same type of deal, I doubt the Bills would do it unless they were really hurting.
  12. I'd like to think of it more as his "Xanadu". A Bills run game right now would be idyllic.
  13. While that would be great, I would rather Josh gets them up early (3TDs) and they work on the run game some (another 1 or 2 rushing).
  14. I agree with your Austin perception. But I don't on the Hodgins take. Austin has made $40M in his career and Hodgins $1.1M. Hodgins will stay on the PS and if anyone picks him up, he will move. If not, he has a chance to get to WR6 next season with the Bills. Why would he just quit?
  15. You got way too much going on here. 1st, Hyde is under contract next year and even if the Bills cut him, he has a lot of dead money ($7M) due to restructure. 2nd, Jackson is an RFA and if the Bills want to keep him, they have to put at least a 2nd Round tender. That's around $4.3M. 3rd, Poyer may not get a new contract due to the entire teams "positional spending" being too much. If J Johnson is kept, he will cost more than his 6th round rookie contract. But all that is for Beane to decide. My point is Tre goes back to CB. If he can't fill that role, then it's about whether or not he stays on the team. If his knee won't let him play CB, there is no guarantee he could play FS. We will have to wait and see. Let me just add that Tre has a lot of dead money still on his contract due to restructuring. It's a "risk lesson" to all of us who think these moves come free. Just like I pointed out about Hyde.
  16. I for one said Hamlin is the guy to replace Hyde, not Johnson. Can Johnson be counted on to fill Poyer's role, I don't know for sure. Long term Johnson is an UFA next March and Hamlin has 2 more years in Buffalo. It now looks like the earliest we see Tre is for the Green Bay game or the next week against the Jets. I'm about 100% sure he will return to his CB position. Then we all see how he is playing.
  17. My dad would work overtime on a Saturday, and it would pay for us to go to 2 games, parking and some concession stand food and drinks. Endzone seats, of course.
  18. Has anyone heard if Crowder is officially going on IR?
  19. One thing about Roberson's highlights, he is catching a lot of ball at the high point. 6'1" 190lbs 4.46-40 time. Looks like he should put on a few pounds.
  20. McDermott just said in his presser today that Stevenson is not close to returning.
  21. Enjoy your retirement Cole, I know I am. Thanks for you service to the Bills.
  22. There is no "addressing" the run game by getting new OL or RBs this season. They need to scheme and practice to improve with what they got. It's a long season and they just need to do the best they can. The starting OL has been hampered with injuries and IF they can stay together for a while I still refuse to believe they are incapable of run blocking. They got Kromer and it's not rocket science. This is the week to give it a try.
  23. I too wondered why Knox was the only one signed this summer. I figured he would have to wait with the rest for next March. The more I look at Knox's contract and the predicament the Bills were in concerning TE there is some hope it won't be that bad. IF Knox turns it up and becomes a great TE and is used a lot then it's not bad. IF on the other hand they need to dump/trade him in 2024/2025 it's not that bad. Knox has a manageable $6.4M cap hit in 2023. So, once again, it's all about where the cap will be in 2024/2025.
  24. I guess it stems from Tre's injury. He evidently will be running like Chester from Gunsmoke.
  25. Actually, after the Cardinals had to pay out his guaranteed money it's probably about a wash. If they signed him to the 53 he would have no dead cap and they would pay him in essence week to week. Your Austin comment is probably true, but I guess it would depend on whether the Bills looked at him back in 2019 and what Beane and his boys thought of him.
