Jalen Hurts is a perfect example of what I'm talking about. He is most likely never going to be a Mahomes or Allen, but he doesn't need to be. It's no different than a number of years ago when it was Brady and Manning. Hurts in a capable QB who needs to perform what he does as well as he can, and the team puts players around him to succeed as much as possible. Where these wheels will fall off is next March when he should be signing a new contract. Right now, Spotrac has his "Market Value" at $800k more per year than Josh Allen. He will never live up to it. There is the disconnect I'm talking about.

While this is true, I feel that teams are not developing these college QBs into what they can be good at. These young guys are not trained to play the game like the old guard played it. There is something dreadfully wrong with the approach too many NFL teams are taking. It's resulting in bad QB play and I refuse to believe it's all on these young QBs. The fans are no better. I didn't say anything yesterday, but I guess this is as good as place as any. In yesterday's Steelers game I was shocked on how many posters criticized Pickett's play saying he will never be a good QB. I mean the kid has started 3 games! How can anyone know that.

In a sense you are right. But I don't agree with the Rivers and Wentz statements. Neither of those moves were the right one's either. How can an offense develop when you are changing QBs every year. It's foolish. I laughed when they traded for Matt Ryan. Too many teams are clutching at straws to find a QB and too many are wanting to see instant results. There is no such thing as developing young QBs in the NFL anymore.

Week 8: SNF Packers at Bills (-10.5) 10/30 8:20pm
ColoradoBills replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Buffalo Bills players and coaches are not going to take lightly the upcoming game against the Green Bay Packers. The betting line is correct. Sunday Night Football in Buffalo is going to be awesome. -
I don't think there will be a trade for a RB by the deadline. That said, I would like to see D'Ernest in Buffalo next season. He's an UFA and wouldn't cost much. Coming to Buffalo would be at the top of his list. Now, if the Bills do want to bring him in for a 7th, I wouldn't mind it at all. He is going on 27 but has little wear and tear as a RB. He is a good general special teamer and can also return KOs and even PR in a pinch. What I have suggested is getting Duke into a game or 2 while still on the PS. I think this will happen in the coming weeks. After evaluating those games, a decision on him and Moss longer term could be easier.

Thats what I meant with the "injury".

Tom has to face the Ravens, Rams and Seahawks in the next 3 weeks. Some tough DLs to face and he may take a lot of sacks. If Tampa loses 2 or 3 of these games does anyone see Brady wanting to play? This next month is going to be interesting. The only thing he has going for him is playing in the NFCS, the worse division is the NFL. He can't "retire" again. So, what does he do? Thinking about it, I believe he will suffer an "injury".

I was wondering if they are from the Buffalo area. I was thinking if so, they could have been in Oschie Children's Hospital. If anyone has details, I would appreciate posting them.

I wanted some sort of a ColoradoBillsFan name. After multiple tries that were taken, I accidently submitted ColoradoBills after deleting the trailing "fan" and it took. It looked a little weird, but I said, "screw it" and left it. My current Avatar is the JFK Bears Logo from my High School in beautiful Cheektowaga (yes, I'm of Polish heritage).

I very nice gesture for a well deserving young girl!

I did too but thought it was wiser just to wait until it was corrected instead of arguing about it. As to the 49ers and the CMC move. I guess they are "all in" trying to get deep into the playoffs this season. I'm not sure how 2023 and on will pan out. I see some hard times for them going forward unless Lance really improves.
-
FWIW, Spotrac has repaired its database for the 49ers and ALL players are accounted for. They have $4M in rollover from this year not $50M. As of now they have $5.8M in cap space in 2023. I'm in Spotrac a lot and I knew they were still in "update" mode when you guys checked yesterday. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/san-francisco-49ers/cap/2023/

When is OBJ going to be ready to take snaps in a game?

Todd Gurley says he’s done after 6 years in the NFL
ColoradoBills replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
Gurley took over 1,000 rushes his first 4 years in the league. To compare, Motor has taken just over 500 so far. These players are unique to themselves.
