Allen’s QBR last night was 83.6
ColoradoBills replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Which is exactly why I want to see Dorsey expand the offense. Yesterday was going perfectly to balance more running and he had success, but then went away from it. I'm hoping McDermott mentions this and we see some changes in the Jets game. -
When does Benford transition to Safety?
ColoradoBills replied to Flipnmi's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Vikings and Lions are the only passing teams for the secondary to be pressured in the next 6 games. With some luck the Safeties can gain some good experience. -
Pretty much exactly how I saw the game too. The running game GB stuck with was exactly to get the Bills out of nickel. I had no problem with what Frazier did. I even mentioned it in the GDT that it was a perfect scenario for a Bills win. As you mentioned, I did have a problem with Dorsey. I keep thinking he is going to meld in some other scheme styles and so far, he hasn't. I'm definitely not one of these fans worried and concerned all the time but his lack of expansion of the offensive schemes is disheartening. He had a perfect game to get some live gameday action with the running aspect of the OL and Motor and Cook. He did have 1 pitch to Cook that worked well, again. Then we didn't see it anymore. Cook lined up at WR for the big catch worked great. Heck, even Collingsworth mentioned it. Didn't see it again. I watched a number of plays that Knox was open, but he was down the list of read options from the play called. Devin should have had a few more runs and when Cook was starting to warm up and then turned off actually made me angry. Josh could have run of his INTs and I do think they told him at halftime to reduce his running and it seemed to throw him off. He was off a lot last night. Sprinkling in some new twists might have focused his mind better. I'm not "hating" on Dorsey, just getting a little impatient for something other than what we have seen. I'm hopeful to see it against the Jets.

Merchandizing, where the real money is made! Have them in visiting team logos. Sell "season packs" for STH'ers. -
When does Benford transition to Safety?

No, you are not. I imagine he would excel in that position, but I believe they will keep him anchored where he is. -
Safety Help - who might be available?
ColoradoBills replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would tend to agree. I'm sure Beane will look around to see what might be available, but most likely it's "next man up". Just have to hope that as of now Poyer can be back relatively healthy later in the season. -
So, if the Bills only win by 10 again does that mean we don't like it? I get confused about this winning stuff.

Are Bills fans expectations too high????
ColoradoBills replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well said. I for one do not want to get spoiled. I want to savor every moment and be amazed at how well they can play. I'm old enough to know that you make hay when the sun shines and I also know that "all glory is fleeting". -
Are Bills fans expectations too high????
ColoradoBills replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
I guess I see your point, but I personally wouldn't use the word, expect. Like I said up thread, I know it would be foolish for me to stand in front of the team and say I "expect you guys to perform at 100% always". I can only hope they can achieve that as much as humanly possible. -

Then you will need to prepare yourself for the reality that what you expect will not happen. -

So, what is this thread and your point all about? Seriously. The players and coaches have already said there was a lot of errors made and that they need to tighten things up. If you had the chance to talk directly to the players and coaches, what would you tell them? Would you chastise Josh Allen for his poor performance in the 2nd half? Would you inform them that YOUR expectations are higher and thus they MUST raise their play to meet them. I just don't understand these threads at all. They are men with human traits. Would I personally "wish" that they scored on 80% of their drives and held the opposition to scoring on only 20%. Yes, I would. But after this week no one will remember all this post game talk. A question for ALL fans of all types. What were your expectations of the Buffalo Bills record after the first 7 games of the season? My answer is at 6-1 the team (so far) has exceeded my hopes from the start of the season. Go Bills. -
NFL Week 8: Packers at Bills - post game thread
ColoradoBills replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree, it's one thing not to take crap from a team. It's another with some of the stuff that happened tonight. It's unprofessional. I want McD to nip it in the bud. -
We need to start using Cook a lot more and just let Cook Cook!!!
ColoradoBills replied to Toyo321's topic in The Stadium Wall
Like I said in the post game thread, Dorsey should have handed to ball again to James at the 3. He was fired up after that big catch and moved it 4 yards from the 7. You got to let the guy prove he can punch it in. I would of gave him all 3 chances (maybe one a pass). If he couldn't you still score 3 and burn some clock. -

A large percentage of those posters have been "realistic" fans for years. 6-1 is looking pretty good to me, so I have a hard time relating. -

We all know McDermott hates dumb turnovers and Josh had 2. I think McD should sit him and start Keenum against the Jets. sarcasm -

The only big thing that upset me tonight was concerning James Cook. After he had that great catch that he ran down to the 7 yard line, I feel that Dorsey screwed the pooch. 1st down, Cook takes it to the 3 and then he didn't give him the ball again. He was fired up and Dorsey should have run the clock down and given James every opportunity to punch it in. It was a chance for Cook to prove himself and a TD run/or pass reception would have been a huge boost for the kid. It was the only time during the game that I yelled at the TV. -
Glazer: Bills called about kamara, turned down
ColoradoBills replied to Steel City Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
Frank Gore was the RB1 during Singletary's rookie season. Devin had a total of 10 rushes his first 2 games and was inactive for the next 3. Moss did not take over the RB1 position his rookie season. Devin was RB1. Moss had 17 rushes his first 5 games as a rookie. Thanks for playing but that's the way McDermott plays it. -

I think he's trying to keep the ball out of Josh's hands to keep the score low. Too much pressure when he passes. -

Rodgers is letting the clock run down on so many plays. He's burning his own clock. Keep running. -
