Trade Deadline (Nov 1) Bills Rumors / Speculation

Of course he does. Everything isn't chiseled in stone, but he knows what the options are. -

Still not trusting the process? Beane pulls the trigger when HE thinks it's the right thing to do. He and his boys are on the phones, and he will or will not do what he thinks is best for the team this year and in the future. He is not going to put his money on a "hard eight" throw of the dice. -

Their tanking the season for a QB next draft. They need a total rebuild with a competent organization. GM Holmes will be looking for a new HC this offseason. -

No, the Bills are the "bwana" and other teams are upgrading to evade the hunt. -

He's fast and good at what he does. The thing is I'm trying to see what the future is for him and the Bills RB room. If the Bills do this that means Devin is surely gone next year. So that leaves Cook and Hines. Cook would have to become the main RB next season. Hines is not every down back. If that's true, then the Bills fans thinking Cook is not the answer as "the guy" are totally wrong. Moss is probably gone so Beane would just need to find a short yardage bruiser to fill out the room. The cost of Hines would be what Motor would cost. It's an intriguing idea BUT it's a lot of money for a RB2 type player. That being said it could end up being a great RB room next year. -

$10M buys a lot of peanuts. -
Vikings had a decision on paying Irv Smith next year or TJ. Smith is a shorter/lighter TE and the Vikes new GM/HC must want more size from the position. While it's a good move to have both for the rest of the season, I think this is more of a futures move.

Week 9: Bills at Jets - Sunday Nov. 6th 1pm
ColoradoBills replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree. Whether "better" than any other D is questionable but still a good D. I see no way they keep the Bills O to under 24 points. Jets O will be lucky to score 16. The weather window looks great so the Bills O could bounce back big. Bills are not going to take this divisional game lightly. They are 0-1 in the division and behind the Dolphins in that regard. I actually believe that Keenum might be taking some snaps in this one. -

Statistically, both their rushing ypc and passing ypa is pretty good. Better than any D the Bills have faced so far. Points against they are 8th of the teams that have played 8 games already. Their D (from the few games I watched) seem above average. The thing is these stats are with the offense having a good run game which is now in question. I see the Jets O not staying on the field as long as previous games putting more pressure on their D. -

Hey, you have been told that there are plenty of threads talking about last week's game. Please take last week's game talk to one of those. This thread is about the Jets game. -
My guess is Cam Lewis or Brandin Bryant.

This one has some humor in it. StoneTheCrow 6 minutes ago We’re on to Cincinnati.

What's up with the Bungles? I've been watching the Sabres clip the wings off the Red Wings 8-3. Is Burrows bad or Browns D good?

The Bills won last night because.... (karma reasons only)

I stuck out the entire Gameday Threads. Both halves! Second half was very rough, but I manned up and persevered! -
Welcome back Mr. White!

I refuse to believe that Brandon Beane is doing nothing. He is involved with what is happening and will make a move if he (not WE) thinks it's right. These players that are getting traded are not fits for this current Bills team. An aging DL to the Eagles (not needed), an expensive LB to the Ravens (not needed) and an oft injured WR to KC. The CMC trade to the 49ers would never happen in Buffalo for that cost. That leaves James Robinson, and no rational person thinks he puts the Bills over the top. If a guy is available that Beane likes for a reasonable cost, he will pursue him. We'll find out tomorrow.

I have thought of that but if true I'm not a fan of it. I'd much rather Dorsey gets some of this going in the middle games and once they get it down and then shelf some of it for later. Then again maybe they have confidence they can turn on these other schemes at will. My theory was Dorsey kept to the heavy WR pass game (with some RB screens and flares) until they got through the early tough games. GB turned out to be not so tough so I was hoping they would have started yesterday.

Allen’s QBR last night was 83.6

Which is exactly why I want to see Dorsey expand the offense. Yesterday was going perfectly to balance more running and he had success, but then went away from it. I'm hoping McDermott mentions this and we see some changes in the Jets game. -
When does Benford transition to Safety?
ColoradoBills replied to Flipnmi's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Vikings and Lions are the only passing teams for the secondary to be pressured in the next 6 games. With some luck the Safeties can gain some good experience. -
Pretty much exactly how I saw the game too. The running game GB stuck with was exactly to get the Bills out of nickel. I had no problem with what Frazier did. I even mentioned it in the GDT that it was a perfect scenario for a Bills win. As you mentioned, I did have a problem with Dorsey. I keep thinking he is going to meld in some other scheme styles and so far, he hasn't. I'm definitely not one of these fans worried and concerned all the time but his lack of expansion of the offensive schemes is disheartening. He had a perfect game to get some live gameday action with the running aspect of the OL and Motor and Cook. He did have 1 pitch to Cook that worked well, again. Then we didn't see it anymore. Cook lined up at WR for the big catch worked great. Heck, even Collingsworth mentioned it. Didn't see it again. I watched a number of plays that Knox was open, but he was down the list of read options from the play called. Devin should have had a few more runs and when Cook was starting to warm up and then turned off actually made me angry. Josh could have run of his INTs and I do think they told him at halftime to reduce his running and it seemed to throw him off. He was off a lot last night. Sprinkling in some new twists might have focused his mind better. I'm not "hating" on Dorsey, just getting a little impatient for something other than what we have seen. I'm hopeful to see it against the Jets.
