  1. LOL. In a way you are totally correct IMO. Josh and all the other Bills players getting interviews nonstop all week, every week, are listening to their press clippings. I kind of hope he isn't growing that 'stash to cut it off in a Gillette commercial. If you get my drift. Fans say there is no "trap game" but that is the wrong term. It's about thinking you are so superior that you think you won't lose. All teams that are being praised by the media and Vegas are destined to have to play up to that yardstick. That yardstick is tough to achieve. Josh and the Bills have to go back to the basics in their minds and emotions or jeopardize the bye in the AFC. I think McDermott and the organization will get a grip on this very soon. If they don't it could cost the season. My points are not meant to be nothing other than what good teams have to face all the time.
  2. Couldn't disagree with you more. Miami will get a lot of talk, but the Bills will still be talked about throughout the season and playoffs.
  3. The TSW posters being "chicki" demean his skills just do so by playing the odds. The odds are not in favor of these players but when they do produce, they blend into the weeds. Blackshear is a football player. I wish him the best.
  4. McDermott does not call the plays. Where is your brain? Do you know this team?
  5. Well things couldn't be going any more bad as they are right now. It's been created by Josh and he has to right the ship!
  6. So how is the GDT going. You guys staying calm?
  7. What is happening with the Chargers?
  8. Not good at all. Josh is still tight for some reason.
  9. Yep, and while we're at it, Go Colts!
  10. The hope for me is no injuries today and that Poyer, Milano and Tre are all a go for the Vikings.
  11. As for the Monday Night game. Anyone giving the Saints a chance to beat the Ravens? I don't have a lot of faith in them, even with all their talent (which I'm starting to think is over-rated).
  12. I was giving it a 50/50 chance that he would be active, but with 11 DBs it makes sense for one more week.
  13. Teams on Bye: AFC: Browns, Broncos, Steelers NFC: Giants, Cowboys, 49ers This is the week that starts to separate teams in Divisions and Wildcard races. Some interesting games to watch for me is: Chiefs/Titans: Huge game for both teams in the home field race. Chargers/Falcons: All of a sudden, an important game. Rams/Bucs: Wow, the loser is in danger of making the playoffs (especially the Buc's could be looking at 6 losses) With parity in the league, some teams that should win, really need to win. Packers, Dolphins, Bengals, Vikings, Seahawks all ahead but "upsets" possible. Nothing shocks me anymore, so I'll watch the games with the "any given Sunday" mentality.
  14. With the Pegula's, Beane and McDermott I do not take any of these day for granted. These are "the good ole days"!
  15. It's a constant ebb and flow that each owner and GM work through. Some owners want the cash and cap to be as close as possible. Some (like the Pegula's) are more flexible. Also, this is only reflecting the cap versus how much cash was actually paid out but there is also escrow accounts that sometimes need to be managed. I admit I'm not up on those working as much, but an example is Watson's contract. It's fully guaranteed but the Browns owner had to add money to an escrow account to prove he could pay. Beane spent a lot of cash this year and the Pegula's were OK with it. It also shows the team is "all in" to the future years too.
  16. Totally true. But like everything in life, these moves come with a risk. Pushing that guaranteed money out only works if the player continues to perform or doesn't get injured. A very small example is what happened to Hyde this year. Micah converted over $5M this spring to free up money but he got injured. The team lost his services, so eventually a player like Marlowe had to be added. IF for some reason when Hyde starts next year on PUP and ends up not being able to play, the Bills would lose $7M instead of $2M in dead money, and the team loses his services, and has to add another player. This of course is magnified when you add a 1 or 2 in front of those numbers.
  17. Spotrac has it for all teams. To do a huge comparison you have to sign up for their premium package. But if you want to see the Bills I will post below. Most fans only look at "cap space". In Spotrac you can toggle the drop down to show $ spent. I will post that. Cap is $208M and you can see the Bills spent $270M. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cash/ Here is the Spotrac Cap Tracker with all the teams listed. You will notice that when you click on the Cash Tracker Tab it asks for your login for Premium like I said above. I think next spring I'm signing up for the Premium package. I'm probably too much into this stuff, but I find it fascinating and want to see how Brandon handles next seasons signings. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/cap/ He didn't have near the liquidity that the Pegula's offer the Bills.
  18. The finances and how well they are managed is huge. A lot of fans don't appreciate what Brandon Beane does. Also not appreciated is the Pegula's role in that. The Bills are $62M over the cap with cash this year. There is a large amount of NFL owners who wouldn't allow that to happen. Brandon pushes the financials without letting it turn into a negative.
  19. Just want him back 100% next year. Bills will need him with the good chance Poyer will be somewhere else.
