  1. It's the "Great Expectations" that most of us have, along with the hope of the #1 seed. At least for me. I am getting some hope that Dorsey (who I have to keep telling myself he's still a pup as an OC) will get the offense hitting on all cylinders by playoff time. I saw some good trends in play design last Sunday and hope to see more on Turkey Day!
  2. I've been a bit critical of Dorsey and I guess a little impatient too. That being said, at least he is bringing Cook around (which I like a lot) and did find ways to get the ball to Knox. That's 2 things that have been bugging me. While I like others want to see more of Hines, it is another short week so I guess I can wait a bit more. I'm hoping Dorsey at least gets one or two plays in for him Thursday. I sure would like to see Hines get some good plays drawn up for him in the Pats* game coming up.
  3. Like I said earlier, I'm sure that Tre is getting as much support from all areas of his life to get through this. He has to know that for the team's sake he needs to make his decision soon. I'm still betting he plays soon, and things get back to normal. If he chooses not to then "the team" has no choice but to shut him down for the year.
  4. Agree with all you said. Also, each is a little different in what could be their best usage. Should complement how to attack each opponent's weaknesses. Dorsey still has a lot to learn about using what he has and mixing it up to keep the D's guessing.
  5. He's had 8 starts this year. Seems to have grown during that time. Frazier said in his presser that in the beginning of the year (when he had to start) he wouldn't even talk out on the field. Now he is communicating quite well. Definitely need more time to see how he develops but things are looking hopeful.
  6. It's what makes sports fun to be a part of and why we (or I should say I) watch.
  7. Is it OK if I watch the games to find out?
  8. Playoffs and seeding are a long way off. The only thing right now that matters is a win in Detroit.
  9. Wow, you come on the message board with both barrels blasting (lost the #1 seed AND good chance not to win the division)! Then you reload with "if they even make the playoffs". I'll have to keep an eye out for you! You're the kind of hard nose realist this board has been missing!
  10. Well said and I believe Tre is apprehensive about his return, at a minimum. Listening to a lot of players who honestly talked about returning to play, it is not uncommon and is a real condition. One only has to google this to find all kinds of articles written on the subject and recommendations on overcoming the affects. I for one, can have a little more patience, but the time is coming where he will have to make a decision about his return status. It's just going to have to happen for the sake of the team. As to the "fans" poo pooing his situation, I give no serious attention to. I'm confident he has a strong community of family, doctors, coaches and fellow players who are sincerely trying to help in this matter. The macho "rub some dirt on it" and "quit being a puss" commentators are nothing but keyboard tough guys the whole world has to deal with on-line about any conflicting issue. If I was still a betting man, my money would be on Tre returning soon and this whole thing will be in the rearview mirror by the playoffs. I also believe Tre is the type of individual who will give his honest comments about his rehab and return when the time is right. His playful exterior is only a part of his personality and beneath is a serious and responsible individual, as far as what I have seen. FWIW.
  11. Are you ready? You can trust me all the way Are you ready? Well, then let me hear you say That you’re ready, and the world will know it’s right Yes, you’re ready, and I know it’s out of sight
  12. Melvin is a fumbling machine.
  13. It's been proven over and over it's not worth the 1-hour flight. Practice where? What about facilities for trainers giving injury therapy? Sleeping in their own beds vs a hotel room and eating well vs room service? They were home Sunday evening.
  14. I'm not a fan of going for 2 early in the 3rd while leading BUT it's more a 50/50 call in today's NFL. The play call was fine with me, and it just wasn't blocked as well as when it was drawn up.
  15. As good of points as any I've read. I've wondered about getting him active and taking some snaps without putting pressure on him. But then I thought of this. Bills generally dress 4 CBs on gameday. If Tre was CB4 he could get some snaps BUT if a CB went down, he would be needed full time. Dressing 5 CBs on gameday could fix that but it puts pressure on losing a player in another position. So, if you're not willing to go the 5 CB route, Tre needs to be sure he can play a full game. I can give all this a little more time to work itself out. FWIW.
  16. Wow, after reading some of the threads on page 1 today, I would have thought the Bills lost the game to the Browns. So, it's on to the Lions, and what are we supposed to worry about. The one thing I have noticed in the Browns game was that Josh has reverted some to his poor platforms when he throws. A number of plays he had the "happy feet" and is not setting his feet. When he did this in the past his passes tended to be high and without a lot of touch. I could speculate that it might be caused by indecision. It was better in the 2nd half with some check downs and some TE swing throws. Please Dorsey, keep taking what the D gives you to get Josh comfy again. I hope he can clean that up again. Even if he doesn't, I'll take the Bills giving up 10.
  17. I swear if you gave a piece of rope to some of the people on this board, they would think they're a cowboy.
  18. I was trying to think of the right response for this thread. Your post says it all. Thank you.
  19. Yes, 2 things can be true. Your point is correct and a poorly played game by the Bills doesn't change the fact that Wilson is not going to be the answer for the Jets unless some sort of miraculous change happens to him. Unfortunately, your OP is lost with the "sarcasm" (for sake of a better word) that is running rampant on this site lately. Dissing this team seems to be the hip thing to do.
  20. Welp that's that.
  21. Reverse 13 seconds left? LOL.
  22. One big D stand here for a Chargers win.
  23. Rule says you can't have 2 forward passes on any one play.
