  1. A DB has to go when they sign Bease. I think it will be Cam even before the punt play fiasco. I think he's a good guy but too undersized and not fast enough to compensate for it.
  2. Getting the ball into Josh's hands on the snap helps too.
  3. It sure would be nice if Phillips gets healthy and makes an impact from now thru the playoffs.
  4. Cam will get cut when Beasley goes on the 53.
  5. It's not the players. It's the coaching staff with gameplans and calls/decisions that can tank a game.
  6. Exactly. The Colts, Falcons, Panthers and Saints are all just behind them.
  7. The Buffalo Bills are one win from the Division Championship and three games from the AFC #1 Seed. They will not take this game lightly. It's all in to win this one and take a mini-break after. With 3 wins the Bears are locked into the #2 overall pick in the draft. Winning games this late in the year only hurts them.
  8. His broken foot has never healed correctly, and his frequent history of hamstrings has left him crippled for playing further in the NFL as a competent WR. He can't even stay on a team that needs all the WR help it can get.
  9. You may end up being right, but I doubt Beane is thinking that after the play of the OL this year. I do have to say that "3 years of bad OLines" is not correct IMO. The lines in 2020 and 2021 were better than this year's. As to the offensive skill positions, I maintain that the OL is playing bad enough to hamper the play of the current group the Bills have. Giving Josh on average, a bit more time, would fix most of the issues we've seen this year. You can't count on Josh running around like a mad man every game. Even bad opposing DLs are causing problems. When Josh has time in the pocket, he is almost unstoppable. What I see doesn't seem that complicated. Next year move Bates back to LG where he has played his best ball next to Dawkins. Draft a day one starting RG and solidify that position for the future. Draft Morse's replacement and have him acclimate to take over in 2024. I can't see Morse playing in 2024 and if he does the rookie could wait another year. Josh has to have a good C. That gives 4 of the 5 starters and Morse's replacement taken care of. Brown needs to improve, and you got to bring in a journeyman vet to give him some camp competition and then for depth. Re-sign Ike for swing guard is they think he can handle it. Doyle is in the mix so you're down to one other depth player. So, I believe 2OL, 1WR and a S with the first 4 picks is what's needed next year. After that, Beane can do whatever he wants.
  10. I sure wish that Tre would have held on to that "almost" INT. It would have gone far in getting his confidence back from being gone for so long. Maybe this Saturday!
  11. BB and the Patriots final play was so bad the Buffalo Bills were awarded a 3rd Round Compensatory Pick!
  12. Kelly slung it around pretty good in -20 wind chill against the Raiders in the playoffs.
  13. Agree. I'll add every player would rather play at home and every home field has nuances that the home team knows best. Those are the playing surface, wind, sun/shade and all the other little things like sleeping in your own bed. I'll take home field with bad weather every time.
  14. He @JGMcD2was correct in what went on with Hodgins and his status when the Bills let him go. I didn't want to get involved in your guy's conversation but now that you have, I will let you know something about the PS rules. While it's true that some PS players can be protected, it's not in the way a lot of fans think. Every week, every PS player can be claimed by any team (as long as that team is not playing the team of the player). Even "protected players" that are designated could have been claimed the day before they are protected. Like I've stated before, I wish Hodgins was kept. Heck, I thought he should have made the 53 right out of camp.
  15. I'm not leaving the board. Just staying away from the cesspool in the Gameday Threads. They got to be too much.
  16. I'm not a Kumerow hater but I believed (and still do believe) Hodgins had a lot more upside. Too much ST worth for Kumerow. Giants took over that contract from the Bills. The 2-year deal is a normal reserve/futures contract that he signed in Jan of this year. I'm not sure if that is correct in Spotrac since he was cut in September and then signed to the PS.
  17. You're stronger than I am Muppy. I refuse to subject myself to the childish emotions anymore on the GDTs.
  18. Let's see. BB hired these guys. BB trained these guys. BB takes the heat for these guy's plays.
  19. I don't believe that's the plan. Josh will need a true center, not a part timer who isn't trained properly in blocking calls.
  20. Beane didn't want to get rid of Hodgins. He did get greedy thinking he could clear waivers.
  21. Wow. Ike was a starter for the Bills from Game 7 until his injury.
  22. Thank you. My point is they have to draft a reliable backup who will become the starter in the next draft. They have to stop this current thing of moving everyone around when Morse is out for a while.
