  1. Agree with both of you. One of the options I have been considering is drafting a player that could fill both needs. It's an NFL thing to draft college RTs who can transition into RG's. It seems to me to find a player that can push Spencer this year (with a chance of being a gem at RT) and then transitioning into a guard next season, if and when Morse leaving causing a disruption in the IOL Add to that both Bates and McGovern naturally play LG if one moves to C the RG is covered. I'm worthless at evaluating college players but does anyone have a player like that on their radar? If so who and what rounds?
  2. If Neal is a lock, the only way that pencil has any lead in it, is if they keep 5 Safeties or Neal ends up as prime backup.
  3. Thanks for the insight. I have said (even in this thread) that IF Neal was let go it, would be after the camp battle that I assumed would be between Neal and Anderson. My thoughts were if Anderson won it, it would be about $4M in cap savings. Maybe it's about Cam and Anderson? It was interesting though, that Beane just said Cam's best worth was backup NC behind Taron. In that case Anderson might not have a shot at the 53 and was signed as a backstop.
  4. This confuses me because when the Bills signed him, I read this article about his proficient gunner qualities at BYU. Do the Chiefs have 2 gunners established above him which kept him off the field? Article excerpt: Showed very good speed and quickness at pro day. Adequate athleticism for coverage in space and experienced in multiple coverage schemes. His range, hustle and taking angles to the ball are good and he has the ability to support the run game from the single high safety role. On Special teams he is a gunner and covers kickoffs with high proficiency, and has a knack for forcing turnovers. https://arrowheadone.com/chiefs-udfa-focus-on-db-zayne-anderson/
  5. I'm thinking the Zane Anderson signing, that got a lot of people scratching their heads, is his replacement. He fills the ST role and may bring more to the S position itself. Roster bonus aside, Neal could still go to camp and the decision put off until September.
  6. His salary versus worth sticks out like a sore thumb.
  7. If my post about comp picks is part of your reply, all I will say it was for information purposes only. I'm on this board to see what is on Brandon Beane's mind.
  8. Not all UFA qualify as CFA (Compensatory Free Agents). It's mainly driven on average salary of the contract and there is a $ cutoff. It's the top 35% of players on the end of season rosters. I assume the 53 + IR/PUP. This "cutoff" of the eligible players is where most fans get the "impact of the UFA player to the team". An admittedly very rough $ value that I came up with is something slightly over $2M per year. Kyle Allen's contract $s are not in yet. He may not count as a CFA. It would then be 2 and 2. The only realistic chance would be Singletary signing above the CFA level. Also, any UFAs signed immediately after the draft do not count against as CFAs. I say that because in Beane's presser he made a point of bringing up that he will look at players cut because of the draft. FWIW.

  10. I'll take a WR please. The DL will have to be addressed big time next year no matter what happened in the past.
  11. Just stating a fact. TSW's server room would set off the sprinklers. I know it's inert gas.
  12. Beane mentioned that in his presser yesterday. I wonder why?
  13. Took some nerve to start this thread with this crowd, I'll give you that. 2024 DL under contract. Von Miller Greg Rousseau Carlos Basham Kingsley Jonathan
  14. I can't see why a man would want to be either.
  15. Enjoyed Cole's time with Buffalo. BUT when it comes to "social media" he needs to take Clint Eastwood's advice.
  16. I don't know what they are thinking when it comes to Bernard. It's a puzzlement. He's a "tweener" and the only thing I could think of is being some sort of counter to the big catching TEs of the league. Don't know how that would work without a whole new D scheme of some sort.
  17. FWIW, Spotrac has his market value at $2.3M. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/tampa-bay-buccaneers/leonard-fournette-21745/market-value/
  18. He didn't but with Dane now a sure thing and primary depth I think that Benford will get a lot of snaps at S in camp.
  19. Yep. Those new $s are in Spotrac now. That makes more sense. Still a great deal.
  20. News for Buffalo Sabres fans: G Devon Levi signs his 3-year ELC deal today. One Buffalo!
  21. Beane said yesterday that they were working a straight deal instead of the tender. I'm assuming it's that.
  22. It's $30k per game in Spotrac for a total of $510k.
  23. Well, I think he's worth bringing in for a workout and talks. All this, he only runs for 3 yards, may be what turns people off. I like him for the fact that in 3 years with TB he scored 32 TDs and has the opposite style of Cook and Hines.
  24. Agree, Beane also said cap casualties (McKenzie) and going to rework Dane Jackson's tender. Spotrac just moved Dane off the tender, so I think that is happening. Spotrac with $16.8M less Kyle Allen and the new lower Jackson contract. He's got enough space to make a couple of mid-level moves without any big restructures.
  25. I think he needs a workout at OBD. Seems to me he can complement Cook and Hines.
