  1. Actually, I think he will hang it up next year. IF Bates is heir apparent, they had to have talked to Josh about his thoughts. Then again, Bates could end up being the "odd man out" as starter. Either way, if Bates is going to be a C he needs a lot of work at it to really learn setting the blocking and other C duties. He has played a lot less games at C than fans think.
  2. Morse will be let go for cap reasons next season. Bates needs work at C with the 2nd team. IMO.
  3. I have to think Bates will move to Center with this pick. Maybe as soon as next season.
  4. I got to think that the Torrence pick is a pre-cursor to get Bates ready to take over for Morse next season.
  5. I love the pre-pick commercials. Builds the suspense!
  6. Cowboys pick a TE! LOL!
  7. In a perfect world I agree. Things will be tight for the Bills from now on. Still a chance Morse plays next season. That would give a year to learn.
  8. Bills need to draft a top Center next year.
  9. He'll be a Bill soon, right?
  10. I liked him.
  11. OK I'm ready! I'm ready to watch who the Bills pick and 5% of the board post 100 times why Beane sucks! LFG!
  12. I want to thank all the posters who had interesting takes about our new rookie TE and links to informative sources. This is why I come on this board! As to "enabling" a poster who clearly doesn't like the pick, all I can say is I wish you guys would refuse to be baited. This is my least favorite part of this board.
  13. Was this thread necessary?
  14. It's actually going to be Fitz dressed as Freddy.
  15. Why did I click on this thread?
  16. I have the same issue. I started a thread a couple of months ago about the problem but couldn't find the answer to fix it. At first it seemed to be and Edge problem, but a couple of members said they had it using other browsers. If I (or anyone else) find the answer, please start a thread. It is annoying.
  17. After watching that earlier today, I would say that's an understatement.
  18. I think Dorsey did well for a rookie. I guess what I think he needs to improve on is best described using a boxing analogy. A good fighter doesn't just fight. He studies the opponents' strengths and weaknesses and designs his attack accordingly. Learning to set up the opponent with the right combination of punches takes skill and experience. Ken needs to improve there. I do agree that Josh can get stubborn, and Ken will have to be "the boss" enough to reign any of that in. But once again, he needs to learn that he has to do that. It's a big year for both of them!
  19. Now that McDermott is calling the D, I'm sure that he and Dorsey have had some long conversations on how OCs set up a D. McDermott has to be teaching Dorsey how D's counter the OC, but Sean is smart enough to show Dorsey what he needs to do to improve. I'm not sure how much Frazier helped in that regard last season. I know Dorsey is smart and can do it, he has pressure on him this year to get that figured out quickly. I think the offense has enough skill players to be extremely effective. Add an OL in Day 2 and I'll feel better there. This season really is all about Ken going forward.
  20. Of course, it was almost certain. Of the 4 TEs on the Cowboys they have a grand total of 36 NFL catches. Jake Ferguson has 19 of them and is the best they have on the team.
  21. Wow, I just thought of Dalton and Harty rotation. Those opposing styles could cause some D confusion.
  22. I can see your point. I also think there could be a lot of ways to use both together. It's intriguing and I will have to YouTube a lot of videos of how to use this type of combination TEs. Need OL and MLB tomorrow IMO.
  23. You know I thought the same thing when I was considering one of these top TEs potentially being drafted. The thing is, if Dorsey can't get the ball to Kincaid then he is not the OC the Bills need. I was critical at times in his rookie OC year but he now is a vet so he has to do the job. Additional comment: As to the talk about Kincaid and his lack of blocking. If he is indeed going to play the role Beane has already talked about I would venture to say he will be a better blocker than McKenzie and Beasley!
