Nick Foles...Better Backup or Keep the Bromance
ColoradoBills replied to Wizard's topic in The Stadium Wall
Kyle has played on some real crappy teams in his career. I give him a decent shot of improving with the Bills organization into a long-term serviceable backup. We'll know more in camp. -
What does our O-Line look like now?
ColoradoBills replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think some of you guys are overthinking this. I see it as: Dawkins-McGovern-Morse-Torrence-Brown Bates-1st depth for all the IOL spots. Q-Doyle-Gouraige battling for 2 spots. Edwards-Broeker-Boettger battling for 1 spot. Brown starts the season at RT and we all will see how that works out. I think he improves, but we won't know if it's enough. The 8 bolded make the team IMO. Last OT will be decided in camp. The only way Q or Edwards don't make the team is if someone else looks totally awesome in camp. That would be a good thing, but I don't count on it, and I bet Beane doesn't either. Broeker (if he looks ok) will suffer a mysterious quad injury and be redshirted. Ike gets cut and if no other team signs him he goes to PS. Mancz and the rest battle for PS spots. -
Ask and ye shall receive. That's about what I was figuring.

Are we more deserving of the SB hype this year than last?
ColoradoBills replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Definitely exaggerated but having a rookie OC had an effect. Also having an effect was the rash of injuries, crazy weather, the Hamlin/ Bengals drama and what I truly believe, a "mentally" exhausted team going into the playoffs. Some say these are excuses, but I see it as just a realistic cause and effect of human beings, being human beings. As the dust settles in the offseason, I think the Bills overall roster is slightly, to more than slightly, better than last year. They have a harder schedule, but it will still all come down to how they play in the playoffs (which I expect them to be in). -
Are we more deserving of the SB hype this year than last?

Regardless of the hype (which I don't put much concern in) the Bills have as good of a chance to make the SB as last season. IMO.- 200 replies

It's all "unconfirmed" from everywhere I have looked. The only assumption I read is that the Texans 6th rounder is probably the Cowboys one.

1,076 Yards, TE Rookie Record = 1961
ColoradoBills replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Kincaid's actually "fantasy" numbers is one thing. What his effect on the overall offense is another. Beane himself has already said more than once that Kincaid could help the O dictate more to what opposing Ds counter with. Could, hidden in the actual targets and catches, be a different effect on the running game and RB catches? Could Knox, coming off the line, have a different defensive scheme against him? Could this equate in more catches for him? It's not that Kincaid becomes a "decoy", but it is possible his presence causes other opportunities for other skill players too. I will be happy with Kincaid's rookie season if any of these possibilities are added to his actual catches/yardage/1st downs and TDs. It's about the total offensive success, not the individual stats. -
Agree that he probably will at some point. Giving the D to him right out of the gate for a SB hopeful team might not be the right move. Camp is going to be so interesting but when it comes to who starts the season at MLB, I'm not too worried as of right now.

Bills sign Latavius Murray to a one-year deal
ColoradoBills replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think he is committed to being a Buffalo Bill. The 800k dead cap could mean if needed to for a while, he is happy to go the PS. He stays in Buffalo all year, one way or another. -
With all the injuries I don't think there was a "primary" dime.
-
The thing is Siran did not play much at all, even with all the injuries with the DBs last season. Neal only had 63 defensive snaps last year. That's less than 4 snaps a game. His worth is strictly STs.
-
I think Beane and McDermott are happy enough with all the options. I do believe that camp will sort all this out.
-
While it's not a true "passing record", Josh will be the first to throw, run and catch a TD in the SB. He will have a few hundred yards more passing this year with about the same amount of TDs.
-
What is good is Beane has adjusted his past philosophy and is trying something different. I am happy he is not going to over rely on Josh. I see it as "the past is the past". They tried having a strong O and D and it didn't work. Now it seems to be moving toward the O. It makes me happy.

Analyzing 10 years of first round TE production
ColoradoBills replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
I too believe that once he gets rolling that a season between 500-600 is likely. That's good numbers for a rookie. What is not mentioned much in this post is what defenses will need to do to adjust to defend him. It could easily mean that Dawson Knox is lost in the mix and finds a few more balls too. I find it funny that there has been a lot of 400 or less and 800 or more talk. I think our numbers are more realistic. -
Bills sign Latavius Murray to a one-year deal
ColoradoBills replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
Murray was signed off the Saints PS by the Broncos 53 in early October. He stayed on the team all year. -
Do you guys feel right about FA/Draft and the "Process" ?
ColoradoBills replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall
Top 3 team might be debated but definitely top 4. When you are that high it really doesn't matter much. -
Pretty sure the OP used Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services Depth Chart. I use it a lot for other teams. They use a very large "key" to identify how players were acquired. I kind of like the site. Here is the key. https://www.ourlads.com/nfldepthcharts/key.aspx

Bills sign Latavius Murray to a one-year deal
ColoradoBills replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ouch. I'm not a Broncos fan but living here I can't help but see them play a lot. Their RB room must have had 8 guys go through it last season. It was a mess. Funny think was Murray was the steady one. -
Bills sign Latavius Murray to a one-year deal
ColoradoBills replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
After Javonte Williams was put on IR Murray came in and played well. The Broncos then traded for Chase Edmonds from Miami and he went to IR. Murray returned to being the guy, splitting time with Gordon. -
CF means College Free agent. In other words UDFA. SF means a Street Free agent. That could be a guy who didn't play the previous year or a released player (vet) released from a team after free agency.

Bills Sign UDFA 6’6 WR Shavers (Reportedly 3 year deal)
ColoradoBills replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm glad Beane signed Latavius Murray as insurance. I don't like the idea of Cook and Harris being the only fulltime RBs. Especially with Harris's hamstring problems. Gilliam probably stays especially with his ST snaps. I like the following mix. 2- QB 6-WR (Tough to keep 7 with Kincaid as F-TE) 4-RB (Hines primary ST'er) 1-FB 3-TE 9-OL (7 locked) 25-Offense Other than the Q/Doyle/Boettger/Broeker fight for 2 spots I see the O set. The real questions for me is going to be on D. I can't really see what mix between DL/LB/DB will be at all. Starting with Von either on or off the PUP to start the season. Keep the injuries down during camp/preseason and I'm starting to like what I see.
