  1. The thing is Siran did not play much at all, even with all the injuries with the DBs last season. Neal only had 63 defensive snaps last year. That's less than 4 snaps a game. His worth is strictly STs.
  2. I think Beane and McDermott are happy enough with all the options. I do believe that camp will sort all this out.
  3. While it's not a true "passing record", Josh will be the first to throw, run and catch a TD in the SB. He will have a few hundred yards more passing this year with about the same amount of TDs.
  4. What is good is Beane has adjusted his past philosophy and is trying something different. I am happy he is not going to over rely on Josh. I see it as "the past is the past". They tried having a strong O and D and it didn't work. Now it seems to be moving toward the O. It makes me happy.
  5. I too believe that once he gets rolling that a season between 500-600 is likely. That's good numbers for a rookie. What is not mentioned much in this post is what defenses will need to do to adjust to defend him. It could easily mean that Dawson Knox is lost in the mix and finds a few more balls too. I find it funny that there has been a lot of 400 or less and 800 or more talk. I think our numbers are more realistic.
  6. Murray was signed off the Saints PS by the Broncos 53 in early October. He stayed on the team all year.
  7. Top 3 team might be debated but definitely top 4. When you are that high it really doesn't matter much.
  8. Pretty sure the OP used Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services Depth Chart. I use it a lot for other teams. They use a very large "key" to identify how players were acquired. I kind of like the site. Here is the key. https://www.ourlads.com/nfldepthcharts/key.aspx
  9. Ouch. I'm not a Broncos fan but living here I can't help but see them play a lot. Their RB room must have had 8 guys go through it last season. It was a mess. Funny think was Murray was the steady one.
  10. After Javonte Williams was put on IR Murray came in and played well. The Broncos then traded for Chase Edmonds from Miami and he went to IR. Murray returned to being the guy, splitting time with Gordon.
  11. CF means College Free agent. In other words UDFA. SF means a Street Free agent. That could be a guy who didn't play the previous year or a released player (vet) released from a team after free agency.
  12. I'm glad Beane signed Latavius Murray as insurance. I don't like the idea of Cook and Harris being the only fulltime RBs. Especially with Harris's hamstring problems. Gilliam probably stays especially with his ST snaps. I like the following mix. 2- QB 6-WR (Tough to keep 7 with Kincaid as F-TE) 4-RB (Hines primary ST'er) 1-FB 3-TE 9-OL (7 locked) 25-Offense Other than the Q/Doyle/Boettger/Broeker fight for 2 spots I see the O set. The real questions for me is going to be on D. I can't really see what mix between DL/LB/DB will be at all. Starting with Von either on or off the PUP to start the season. Keep the injuries down during camp/preseason and I'm starting to like what I see.
  13. I have always been of the opinion that there should be 2 kickers and punters in camp. I don't want Bass and Martin having to kick if they feel too tight or strained. It hasn't always happened in the past with the Bills, but I don't care. They should do it.
  14. Targets will be Diggs and Davis as top 2. I do think they will both be less than last year. Knox and Kincaid will team up for well over 100. There will be more distribution of the ball this season. It is the key to having consistent success. Sorry for the fans wanting fantasy football stats from these guys. It's not about that, it's about winning.
  15. Just read a page or two of that. Awesome! Just goes to show how stupid the majority of fans can be from any team. NO ONE KNOWS what any rookie will become or not become. If fans held to that truth, they would look a lot less foolish.
  16. LOL to the bolded. All I did was say he is a viable 3rd string option if Harris goes down. He is not getting the lion's share of reps and he is a good short yardage and blocking RB. If anyone is going overboard in "posturing", it's you with your hatred of the pick. You doubled down with the foolishness of your statement with your comment on his contract. The reason Beane signed the guy is because he could fill a role and is cheap. Enjoy your criticism of the signing!
  17. I think he makes the roster this year. His contract is set up that next season ($5.5M) could easily be in doubt to make the team. It would make sense to use him fully as a returner this year and be looking for his replacement next season. Murray's role for a number of years has been either splitting time or 2nd string. He will be Harris's backup insurance. It makes perfect sense. He's also a very, very good pass blocker. He hasn't been overworked for years. He's got 57 TDs in his career and 4.2 YPC. If that's marginal as a bruising RB, I guess you have your opinion. I wouldn't make too much about his age, he's a 3rd string running back on this team. He's filling these roles with a 1-year contract for cheap money to try and get a ring. He will give the effort when called upon. I like the signing a lot.
  18. B+ on the players and addressing needs. I bumped to A- for the 2 6th rounders for next year. Maybe should be a B and bumped to B+ but I have been a fan for a long, long time.
  19. I have to say the ship has sailed after the draft. I'd be shocked he takes a trade and if Hopkins is on the free market he will want (and get) more than Beane has to offer. We all have our opinions and mine is it's done.
  20. Good reasoning. One thing that could be a side effect to Kincaid is Knox gets lost in the mix and performs well too. Generally speaking about all these catches and yards debate is the best that could come from this is a wide dispersion of players all catching a good number of throws from Josh. That's what I'm looking for. I know in the world of fantasy football that is not what a lot of fans want............but I could care less. It's the team's success that matters.
  21. I believe Beane had interest in Hopkins pre-draft, but when a deal wasn't done by the time he picked it was OVER. He brought in 2 UFAs and drafted a 1st round F position TE and another WR. No way he is interested in Hopkins anymore. The candlelight vigil is over, let me know when the memorial service is scheduled.
  22. All in all, I agree. It's been a decent off season. Beane can only get the players, the rest is on the coaches and the players themselves. My mantra this season is what Poyer said in his "welcome back" presser. When asked how the Bills get over the hump his answer was, "FINISH".
  23. Some guy chasing a ring who is willing to sign a 1-year cheap is going to be your man.
  24. I could add "A Bills game from the AFL"! Wow, I forgot that I forgot that.
