  1. They had 3-4 last year too if I remember correctly.
  2. It's one of those either or with me. I hope Beane and McDermott get to choose from both.
  3. The Bills official site has Barkley on IR with Doyle and Davidson. So does Spotrac and OTC. His cap hit on Spotrac is reduced to $585k. https://www.buffalobills.com/team/players-roster/
  4. Every year the comments about the PS guys gets more extreme. From "diamond in the rough" to "burger flippers". These guys play a role and get paid pretty well to do it. Isabella is making $290k at a minimum. That's a lot of burgers but Diggs doesn't need to worry about his roster spot!
  5. I wonder who Isabella's WR partner will be. KeeSean Johnson? Marcell Ateman? It's a pretty good PS duo whoever makes it.
  6. Isabella and/or the other PS WR could be getting called up early to fill in for Shorter for the next 4 or 5 games. With all the new PS rules these guys importance has risen.
  7. Thanks BillyG, you've been doing a great job with info. If you got time, it would be great if you started a Bills PS thread that the mods could pin. 1 down, 15 to go!
  8. This should end the thread, but you know it won't. LOL.
  9. Not sure about that for the 53 as much as for the PS.
  10. Historically there are usually 30+ waiver claims the first day. Here's to hoping no Bills are claimed and McDermott and Beane get their pick of the litter.
  11. For anyone interested, Spotrac has the Bills with $2.564M in cap space under the Top 51 rule and $1.06M with all the contracts. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/ OTC has an extra $3M or so, but they don't show their work the way Spotrac does, so it's hard to know where they get that from. Beane stays under the Top 51 until September 10th, so he has leeway in doing some cap "gymnastics". Signing back Ferguson and Ifedi should add a little over $2M in contract money. PS should add around another $3.7M. Having the guys go to IR/PUP opens up spots on the 53 rosters but they have to be replaced with other player salaries. "Stashing" costs money, LOL. FWIW.
  12. As you can see Siran Neal is untouchable. Both are NCB backups on the Bills Depth Chart. Actually, Cam is 2nd string. That might be trade bait stuff.
  13. KJ is on a 2-year contract. If he shows well the first 6 weeks he may stay and Shaq gets cut and maybe PS bound. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/kingsley-jonathan-77605/
  14. Agree. I'm wondering if the 11 DBs will be a long term thing. Good chance the 2 PS WRs could be used until Shorter comes back.
  15. False starts on the OL is a tough thing. It's almost an involuntary reaction which is hard to coach out. I hope the whole line is more disciplined.
  16. Things will change but there are PS game call ups to get through a couple of weeks.
  17. By the time Ifedi signs (I hope it's not too quick) something else happens OR teams will have established 53's and PS's and Anderson clears waivers with no problem. As for Ifedi, I hope he can keep his penalties to a minimum. It seems a bit of an issue. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/I/IfedGe00.htm
  18. That's the objective.
  19. Makes me think there will be some moves upcoming, but you could be right. I hope you are not. LOL.
  20. Buffalo Bills Official site release a depth chart after cuts. No IR designations. https://www.buffalobills.com/team/depth-chart Interesting that there is no RT backup. Alec Anderson listed a 3rd C.
  21. Damn, I found it but the reference to the Bills visit was way back in 2020. Sorry, I'll delete that comment.
  22. Sounds like he wasn't put on IR so it's looking like he won't be out for too much longer. Remember they can "elevate' a PS player for the Jets game even if it's not Klien. Kirksey is scheduled for a visit at OBD too. Or so it was reported.
  23. I'm not a heavy betting man anymore BUT I will bet some good money that Matt Barkley will not be kept on the 53 today, put on IR in the hopes he can come back and go to the PS. No injured player can be cut until they are cleared to play or an injury settlement is agreed to. I just can't see another player being cut to "save" Matt Barkley. Just a general reminder, all salaries are guaranteed to players on the opening day 53-man roster. He sits on IR until he heals and then cut OR he goes along with the injury settlement (most likely).
