Sorry, I just had to post this.

This thread (topic of Josh aside) epitomizes what IMO happens too much on the board. Fans can be "homers or haters" (for the sake of better words) and that's fine by me. The board also has more than its share of "trolls". Once I identify the trolls, I assign them a spot in the "ignore" list. Something I encourage others to try. It also has a bunch of fans that come on here for information and knowledge of Buffalo Bills football. It also has fans who want to share their deep affection they have with the team with other like-minded fans. I would imagine there are other reasons than the ones I mentioned and if others would like to add to the above, please do. To get back to what I started to say it's this. Fans securely entrenched on the opposite sides of a certain topic should realize all the arguing and point making, in most cases, will never change the others opinion. To continuously attempt to do so just becomes argumentative. It just becomes "noise". Take it as you will but sometimes a well stated point with a follow up rebuttal carries more weight than dozens of replies degenerating into an abyss. At least it does for me. FWIW.

That's great. Just a note to fans wanting to get Student discount plan. I just signed up from my nephew in Buffalo. He created a new YouTube account with a username of his student email address and gave me the password. He gave me the info and I signed up on my laptop. Everything went great BUT when I went to my Roku TV YouTube channel I didn't have it. I had to sign out of my laptop account to see it on the Roku. The YouTube student discount is for one device only at a time. I'm guessing by purchasing on the laptop account I had to sign out of that one to see it on the Roku. FWIW.

"Legal" and "Illegal" are only snapshots of what the current technology and "laws" are that govern them. "Laws" are a tricky thing. No one can tell me they don't at times benefit those with the most expensive lawyers. Years ago, living in Colorado Springs I could "legally" go to a friend's house who had one of those "big dish" satellite setup and watch the Bills playing the NY Jets on NBC (I believe back then) feed from NYC. Then the feeds were scrambled. Don't see many of those big dishes anymore, do you. People spent a lot of money and then the "laws" pulled the rug out from under them. A capitalistic society usually benefits those with the most capital. Is it "illegal" for my brother to Zoom me the feed from the local Buffalo CBS channel during a Buffalo Bills game? The legal answer is no, it does not go against copyright laws. The vast amount of NFL games are broadcasted over the air somewhere. If I had the technology to go get the "free" broadcast, I would do it. Actually, I can! My buddy has PLEX on his server and it can be used to stream any movies, music, home movies and pictures to anyone he has authorized to share that with. He has about 1,000 movies and all kinds of music. It's a channel app like any other you can add onto Roku or Firesticks. When I travel, I take it with me on my Roku and access all this media. He could upgrade to Plex Pass, for a monthly $4.99 charge for his side only, to capture over the air TV and stream it to all his other devices AND to anyone who he shares with. I'm talking to him about testing this with his system first. It's all "legal" under the personal private sharing laws today. I've been thinking of setting my brother up with a Plex server, so I get all the Buffalo TV broadcasts, thus, Buffalo Bills games, for in essence free once I test it all out at my buddy's house for $4.99. Alls I'm saying, if the NFL got its way, all personal private sharing of any media would become "illegal". It would "brick" all apps that now allow sharing. I don't think any of us want that.

True, but Colorado Springs is local for the Broncos games, so I will get that Bills game no matter what station it's on. Thanks for confirming the Jets game. Yes, the ESPN (which I get bundled) is great for Sabres games.

Question: For this season's MNF, is it true that on the select weeks (example: Bills/Jets Game #1) that ABC simulcasts, those ABC games are available nationwide? I think it is but can't remember from last year. I got Sling Blue and usually get Sling Orange (ESPN) for the football season, but if true I wouldn't need it for the Jets game. The other MNF game is Denver and I get that locally. I have ESPN+ for Sabres hockey so I'm hoping I'm set for Bills football too! I get ABC over the air so no worries about "disputes"! I have the YouTube Sunday Ticket/Redzone with the student discount plan ($119.00) from my nephew. Note to future cord cutters on the cheap: I get Sling Blue ($40.00 per month) and have an HDTV antenna for local stations. Sling Blue has most of the "normal" cable stations with the exception of ESPN. It also does have NFL Network. I share Sling Blue with a friend who gives me back Netflix (from the family plan), ESPN+/Disney/Hulu package, Paramount+ and HBO Max. It works out pretty even money wise and is a LOT of TV for $40.00 per month.

Being able to dress 8 helps. Starting 5, Bates, Vandy and then a decision of Edwards or Ifedi. Bates or Vandy could finish a game if necessary if they go the Edwards route. Not ideal like you said but not too terrible.

That's good reasoning. I will add despite the opinions of a lot of fans (even well-respected posters here) I truly believe Beane and McDermott see the MLB role changing in the modern NFL to a slightly smaller but quicker player. They didn't just happen to have a bunch of players like that on the team for no reason. I'm not saying Dorian will eventually be that guy but he does fit the mold. It could be as simple as none of the guys presently on the team can fill the style they hope to find in that position. Kirksey could be a placeholder and eventual depth once they do find that guy.

@PepeSilvia dumps another hot mess thread and takes off into the sunset. This is like his 3rd one. Pepe joined the day after (Dec 7th 2021) the NE wind/weather game. He never showed up again until after the Bills stomping of the Patriots in January to start a thread entitled "McDermott and Beane Have to Go". He then didn't post until after the Bills lost to KC with his "Cancun on 3" thread. Now he is back with this hot turd of a thread. LOL. I can smell these trolls a mile away!

I thought it was interesting when talking about Kincaid, Josh brought up what Beane said concerning Kincaid and 2 TE sets etc. Challenging the defense whether to stay in Base or Nickel and the variations in each. With an improved run game, it could be a problem for Ds. I wanted Dorsey to take what the D was giving last season, more than not. I do however think the Josh and Dorsey want to dictate what the D does, more often than not. I'm looking forward to seeing how this pans out.

The Bills had 2 Anderson's on the team. Alec Anderson OL is on the Bills 53 roster. He has upside. Bills waived Zayne Anderson S who was claimed. Not sure if that helps.

I've said this numerous times already this offseason. My mantra this year is what Jordan Poyer said in his "welcome back" presser. When asked what the Bills have to do to win it all this season his answer was just "finish". They have the team and organization to win it all. It's up to everyone at OBD to just finish.

The trade saved some cap versus a cut. He was a bad pick, and no one really wanted to give more.

I don't see "Filthy Beast" posts except in replies, but every time I see his board name, I think of the Cary Grant movie Father Goose. I gave up on that guy last season. LOL.

I think Beane can get a guy on the PS better than Sternberger too.
