YouTube TV - NFL Sunday Ticket question
ColoradoBills replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm under the impression that the subscriptions just show what you bought. The games should be in the TV and Movies section and you click on NFL Channel to view games. I just got the Sunday Ticket and haven't watched games on it yet. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me. -
YouTube TV - NFL Sunday Ticket question
ColoradoBills replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall
One thing I find weird is in the "Subscriptions" I see the NFL Ticket as purchased but only on my laptop and phone. On YouTube from my Roku TV, it just shows purchased in the Primetime Channel and not Subscriptions. I'm not worried about it, but it's strange. From what I see about YouTube, the TV apps work different from phone and laptops. -

You can check in YouTube if the "purchase" is confirmed. Go to YouTube (be sure you are signed in). Click on Movies and TV in the left banner. Click down to Primetime Channels. The NFL logo should say purchased under it. -
P*triots place projected starting RT Riley Reiff on IR

My brother said he tried that stuff and grew a 3rd testicle. But he is prone to exaggerate. -
That is true. Chiefs have about $13M next year (so far) in restructures and the Bills have about $18M. Now the Bengals currently have less than $1M in restructures BUT with Burrows going form $11M to $29M and their UFAs of Boyd, Higgins, Reader, Jonah Willaims and Irv Smith amongst others, their time is rapidly approaching. There are plenty of NFL "insiders" wondering how the Bengals owner and GM will be handling this. They are not known for spending money. I for one am curious too.

That day too. After the dozen responses (even after I edited my post) I have now officially become a Detroit Lions fan for winning the NFC. Bills/Lions SB here we come!
-
LOL. Retirement can get your days mixed up.
-
Thank you. I guess we know who you are rooting for.

As long as the Chiefs lose 24-21.

Agree, Bell and Gray are good backups, but they are not Travis Kelce. I wonder if the betting line moves.

I'm a Detroit Lions fan Thursday, and I don't care who knows it!

It's the fact that the team spent the money last season and now owes more this season. The other "risk" is what was non-guaranteed money for this season is now guaranteed and if that player is cut for whatever reason, that money become dead money counted against the cap. Which would not of happened is the contract was not restructured! You can only gamble that so many times before it catches up with you.
-
No. It's a cap hit of whatever that "discount" comes to. To clarify for some who want to know. All vested veterans (4 years or more) get all their money on IR/PUP. All is counted against the cap. For the playing under their rookie contracts, it's a bit of a sliding scale as to what round and how many years they have as to their pay and cap hit and if they made the 53 roster. Doyle had his salary reduced last year on IR (like Shorter) but not this year. For the UDFA and Reserve/Future contract guys, it's more a fixed percentage. The cap hit is reduced the same amount. To complicate things more, even veterans like Barkley do not get all the money due him because of the "injury settlement". The way that worked, with his arm injury being so short, he just got his guaranteed money, and that money was moved from IR bucket to the dead money bucket. Injury settlements come from the team and the only thing that players can have a say about it is if they "dispute" number of weeks. Barkley is already an UFA and can sign with any team. There is a period of time he would have to wait to re-sign with the Bills.

YouTube TV - NFL Sunday Ticket question

All these streaming services are a little different, but I might get YTTV in the future, so I found this. It might get you to what you want. It takes work to set up but worth it IMO. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3q35rZcDSxw -

I cut the cord a while ago and have saved a ton of money BUT you are correct about the user interface on most streaming services. I got Sling and it's the same way. The best way I have found on Sling is to go through all the channel and indicate all your favorites. Then after you do that and click "favorites" in the top guide banner, it lists them A-Z. It's not ideal but not that bad. Not sure how YTTV is but you might want to give it a try. At least doing a favorite group in the guide gleans out all the useless channels they have and there is a lot of them. -
Hype and crazy loud fans/media work both ways. Let's not forget the Steelers/Bills "Renegade" moment. If the Bills stay cool and under control, they have an advantage IMO. The Jets are playing with a lot of pressure on them to perform at a "hyped up" level. It's going to be hard to wait until Monday night to watch this game. It's going to be a good one right out of the gate.

Some Bills fans, not all.

Yes. The PS starts to count when the Top 51 expires. What confuses some people is the Top 51 rule expires at the start of the season. The Chiefs and Lions MUST include their PS and all other contracts tomorrow. No. The 51 rule is still in effect. See above. This rule – the Rule of 51 – is in effect from the beginning of the league year in March until the first game of the regular season. https://russellstreetreport.com/salarycap/nfl-salary-cap-faqs/#:~:text=This rule – the Rule of,Rule of 51 Cap number. EDIT: ALL Teams MUST be under the cap today. September 5: At 12:00 a.m., the Top 51 Rule expires for all NFL clubs. https://salarycapinfo.com/calendar/

Sorry, I just had to post this.

This thread (topic of Josh aside) epitomizes what IMO happens too much on the board. Fans can be "homers or haters" (for the sake of better words) and that's fine by me. The board also has more than its share of "trolls". Once I identify the trolls, I assign them a spot in the "ignore" list. Something I encourage others to try. It also has a bunch of fans that come on here for information and knowledge of Buffalo Bills football. It also has fans who want to share their deep affection they have with the team with other like-minded fans. I would imagine there are other reasons than the ones I mentioned and if others would like to add to the above, please do. To get back to what I started to say it's this. Fans securely entrenched on the opposite sides of a certain topic should realize all the arguing and point making, in most cases, will never change the others opinion. To continuously attempt to do so just becomes argumentative. It just becomes "noise". Take it as you will but sometimes a well stated point with a follow up rebuttal carries more weight than dozens of replies degenerating into an abyss. At least it does for me. FWIW.

YouTube TV - NFL Sunday Ticket question

That's great. Just a note to fans wanting to get Student discount plan. I just signed up from my nephew in Buffalo. He created a new YouTube account with a username of his student email address and gave me the password. He gave me the info and I signed up on my laptop. Everything went great BUT when I went to my Roku TV YouTube channel I didn't have it. I had to sign out of my laptop account to see it on the Roku. The YouTube student discount is for one device only at a time. I'm guessing by purchasing on the laptop account I had to sign out of that one to see it on the Roku. FWIW. -
Oh no, poor billionaires losing money.

"Legal" and "Illegal" are only snapshots of what the current technology and "laws" are that govern them. "Laws" are a tricky thing. No one can tell me they don't at times benefit those with the most expensive lawyers. Years ago, living in Colorado Springs I could "legally" go to a friend's house who had one of those "big dish" satellite setup and watch the Bills playing the NY Jets on NBC (I believe back then) feed from NYC. Then the feeds were scrambled. Don't see many of those big dishes anymore, do you. People spent a lot of money and then the "laws" pulled the rug out from under them. A capitalistic society usually benefits those with the most capital. Is it "illegal" for my brother to Zoom me the feed from the local Buffalo CBS channel during a Buffalo Bills game? The legal answer is no, it does not go against copyright laws. The vast amount of NFL games are broadcasted over the air somewhere. If I had the technology to go get the "free" broadcast, I would do it. Actually, I can! My buddy has PLEX on his server and it can be used to stream any movies, music, home movies and pictures to anyone he has authorized to share that with. He has about 1,000 movies and all kinds of music. It's a channel app like any other you can add onto Roku or Firesticks. When I travel, I take it with me on my Roku and access all this media. He could upgrade to Plex Pass, for a monthly $4.99 charge for his side only, to capture over the air TV and stream it to all his other devices AND to anyone who he shares with. I'm talking to him about testing this with his system first. It's all "legal" under the personal private sharing laws today. I've been thinking of setting my brother up with a Plex server, so I get all the Buffalo TV broadcasts, thus, Buffalo Bills games, for in essence free once I test it all out at my buddy's house for $4.99. Alls I'm saying, if the NFL got its way, all personal private sharing of any media would become "illegal". It would "brick" all apps that now allow sharing. I don't think any of us want that.
