  1. Does this imply signing a couple guys who are sitting on their couches?
  2. I’m in my sixties. Forget remembering names. Ain’t gonna happen. I also lose my words quite often. I know there’s a word for what I’m trying to say, but I can’t remember what it is.
  3. Space Invaders - (Number 1 Favorite) Asteroids Ms Pac Man Missile Command Galaga and.... wait for it... Pong
  4. When my brother got married in 1977 my father got an Earl Scheib paint job on our old station wagon so that it would look good when we showed up for the wedding. It worked out pretty well since he didn’t care that the paint job would only look good for a couple weeks.
  5. I think people are giving Clay a little too much abuse. He slipped. Guys were slipping all day. He should have anticipated and come closer. He should have judged the trajectory of the pass better. Maybe the equipment manager should have given them longer cleats. Maybe he didn’t want longer cleats because longer cleats would be harder on his bad knees. I have thought for about two years that he was over rated. I hope an upgrade is one of the higher priorities for next year.
  6. Looked to me like Clay slipped or stumbled. He wasn’t trying to dive. Clay blocks well and occasionally gets open as a receiver. That makes him ten times more useful than Benjamin. He’s still overpaid, though. I think athletic freak tight ends are a hot commodity. The Bills need one. I don’t think they have one on the roster at this point.
  7. Not a catch but pass interference. Pass interference not called because it was called a catch.
  8. Allen, if you throw to Benjamin ever again, then I will get on to the “Allen is Terrible” bandwagon.
  9. Stupid challenge. Clearly forward progress stopped on the field of play.
  10. Anderson and Thomas are both out. If Isn’t Logan Thomas the emergency QB? I guess needing a third QB is pretty rare.
  11. I have an iPhone 5. Apparently it has a dual core processor. I don’t want to upgrade because all the newer phones seem to be too big to fit comfortably in a pocket. My kids bounce back and forth between Apple and Samsung. My wife prefers Apple, and we like to get the same phone so we can help each other figure things out. We aren’t the type who would try to jail break a system, so the Apple products are just fine for us.
  12. I worry that too many apps will bog my phone down and cause it to misbehave. I use Waze and Weather often. I play music and use the camera often. I check email and use the browser when I go to the throne room at work. I use various airline and rental car apps when I travel. I have some apps for controlling WiFi light bulbs and such.
  13. Thanks for this thread. I’ve been watching MAC games often. I like those mid-week games. I might have missed this game without this thread.
  14. I would love an Atlanta get together. Unfortunately, I live in Upstate NY and I have no travel plans in the foreseeable future. We haven’t seen the sun in a week, and when the sun was out last week the temperature was about 15 degrees. The forecast calls for rain, snow and clouds for the next week. Lovely Upstate November!
  15. Who’s the one who wanted Orton on the Wall of Fame? He made a good case for something that was actually pretty ridiculous.
  16. Natasha Patronsky is such a great name. Too bad the pictures are a disappointment.
  17. Bills play in the sun Fast receivers get open Josh throws with power
  18. I have almost 40 years experience in R&D, and just down the hall there is a manufacturing area. I’ve heard a TON of buzzwords, and at this point I’m pretty jaded. Lean Six Sigma, Kaizan, Agile, Black Belts, Taguchi, Analytics, Process, a myriad of Configuration Management tools, etc. Fortunately for me, R&D is subjected to this stuff less than manufacturing. My take on most of this stuff is that the most important commodity is TRUST. If you trust each other, trust that your coworkers are taking things seriously, trust that your coworkers have the talents required, trust in management to support your efforts and decisions, etc., then you are more likely to succeed. Lose that trust, and things crumble. I think on a team, earning, establishing, and relying on the TRUST in your teammates is huge. Call it whatever you want.
  19. I once went to a football game in the Carrier dome... Syracuse versus UConn. We got really, really cheap seats in the UConn visitor section, which was in a corner of the end zone. Whenever Syracuse made a good play, my father-in-law would stand up and cheer, and the UConn fans would give us a death glare. I didn’t really care, but my high school age son was pretty embarrassed.
  20. Andy Dalton left the game today with an injured thumb. If Dalton’s injury is serious then it may be impossible for the Bills to sneak into the playoffs again.
  21. Defensive holding results in an automatic first down. That penalty can get called on practically every play. And there were some particularly tricky-tack ones called against the Bills. On the other hand, the penalties on the Bills O-line seemed to be generally legitimate. That’s an area of improvement that McClappy needs to emphasize.
  22. Reminds me of the goofy outfit Tom Hanks wore in Big. A kid’s taste with grownup money.
