  1. Come back when you grow up, girl You're still livin' in a paper-doll world Livin' ain't easy, lovin's twice as tough So come back, baby, when you grow up You look real good like a woman now Your mind hasn't gotten the message somehow So if you can't take it 'n' the goin' gets rough Come back, baby, when you grow up
  2. Bottle of wine, fruit of the vine, When you gonna let me get sober? Let me alone, let me go home. Let me go back to start over. Ramblin' around this dirty old town, Singin' for nickels and dimes. Times gettin' tough, I ain't got enough To buy a little bottle of wine.
  3. I know it's late, I know you're weary I know your plans don't include me Still here we are, both of us lonely Longing for shelter from all that we see Why should we worry, no one will care girl Look at the stars so far away We've got tonight, who needs tomorrow? We've got tonight babe Why don' you stay?
  4. 7. Every now and then I get a little bit lonely And you're never coming 'round Every now and then I get a little bit tired Of listening to the sound of my tears Every now and then I get a little bit nervous That the best of all the years have gone by Every now and then I get a little bit terrified And then I see the look in your eyes Turn around, bright eyes Every now and then I fall apart Turn around, bright eyes Every now and then I fall apart
  8. I was always annoyed when Ritchie was on the show. Same with Tabitha on Bewitched. Even though I was young, I felt that having kids on these shows detracted from the humor. The adults were funny, the kids were annoying. Alan Brady was a prick, but he usually ended up looking like a fool as the episode went along. I thought it was funny.
  9. If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life Never make a pretty woman your wife So for my personal point of view Get an ugly girl to marry you A pretty woman makes her husband look small And very often causes his downfall As soon as he marries her then she starts To do the things that will break his heart But if you make an ugly woman your wife You'll be happy for the rest of your life An ugly woman cooks meals on time She'll always give you peace of mind
  10. Falling in love again Never wanted to What am I to do? Can't help it Love's always been my game Play it how I may I was made that way Can't help it Men cluster to me like moths around a flame And if their wings burn, I know I'm not to blame
  11. I didn’t select 10 days, circumstances got in the way. My daughter and her husband are both working form home and they both have several online meetings later this week. They asked if we could come and entertain our granddaughter since they aren’t sending her to daycare anymore. The time between our last trips to the grocery store and their desire for us to visit turned out to be 10 days. I would have felt better if we could have made it 14 days. When we go to the store we go early in the morning, and we get in and out as quick as possible. When I say “we” go to the store, it’s actually my wife on our end, and my son in law on their end. I personally haven’t been inside a store in about two months. I realize that a chance encounter with an infected person can happen even when we are being careful, but I think the odds are in our favor since we all live in a places that have pretty low infection rates, for now. But trust me, I’m nervous.
  12. Well I heard it on the street I heard you mighta found somebody new, yeah Well who is he baby, who is he And tell me what he means to you, oh yeah I took it all for granted But how was I to know That you'd be letting go Now it cuts like a knife But it feels so right Yeah, it cuts like a knife Oh, but it feels so right
  13. Well the midnight headlights blind you on a rainy night Steep grade up ahead, slow me down, makin' no time, But I got to keep rollin' Those windshield wipers slappin' out a tempo, Keepin' perfect rhythm with the song on the radio, But I got to keep rollin' Ooh, I'm drivin' my life away, lookin' for a better way for me Ooh, I'm drivin' my life away, lookin' for a sunny day
  14. When I wake up in the morning light I pull on my jeans and I feel all right I pull my blue jeans on, I pull my old blue jeans on I pull my blue jeans on, I pull my old blue jeans on It's the weekend, and I know that you're free So pull on your jeans and come on out with me I need to have you near me, I need to feel you close to me I need to have you near me, I need to feel you close to me
  15. I felt Ross was too whiny. Chandler was a jerk. I was never a big fan of the show, but I feel jerk is better than whiny. Fred Mertz seemed too old and angry to me. It turns out that he was old and angry in real life. I agree that I used to internally groan and scowl over Inspector Luger.
  16. Ritchie on the Dick van ***** show Tabitha on Bewitched Fred Mertz on I Love Lucy Ross on Friends Bobby Flay on Iron Chef Goss’ Garage on Motorweek Ant on Wheeler Dealers (Edd was better) Any token women other than Heather on Garage Squad
  17. Ride, take a free ride, Take my place Have my seat It's for free. I worked like a slave for years, Sweat so hard just to end my fears. Not to end my life a poor man, But by now, I know I should have run. Run, run my last race, Take my place Have this number Of mine.
  18. We all did our grocery shopping at the beginning of the 10 days, and we are avoiding coming close to anyone as we mostly just stay home. We only go out to do yard work or go for a walk around the neighborhood. Perhaps not the true definition of quarantining, but we’re being extra careful.
  19. What about pickled eggs and pickled sausage? Pickled roasted sweet red peppers improve almost any sandwich (not pb&j)
  20. We’re doing something next week for Mother’s Day... my daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter are quarantining themselves for 10 days. my wife and I are quarantining ourselves for 10 days. then we are driving 3 hours (no rest stops allowed) to visit them. my wife has been freaking out about not seeing our granddaughter for 2 months.
  21. I assume more testing = more deaths refers to documenting the cause of death. Cuomo got skewered in social media when they added “probable” covid deaths to the death count. Many places in the world (Mexico, for example) have low stats for covid deaths, but the dead bodies are stacking up at a much higher rate than is being reported. It may take years to get an accurate death count, and some people will dispute it no matter what.
  22. Inlet has a nice little touristy strip of stores and restaurants. My wife and I spent a long weekend at Wood’s Inn once, which has a nice restaurant and a little private beach area.
  23. @4_kidd_4. Where in the Adirondacks are you thinking? I live in the Utica area, so it’s about an hour to Old Forge. That’s in a fairly tame area of the Adirondacks. Nice lakes, but small mountains. We go up there several times a year for boating, hiking, etc. Our kids, nieces, nephews used to go to some summer camps in that area for a week at a time. Every few years we rent a camp for a week, and have a great time. When we were younger we went up for camping and skiing, but those days are behind us now. Now we’re too lazy and brittle.
