  3. She had better make sure she’s not in a glass house when she starts to throw stones.
  4. I'm singing this note 'cause it fits in well With the chords I'm playing I can't pretend there's any meaning here Or in the things I'm saying But I'm in tune Right in tune I'm in tune And I'm gonna tune Right in on you Right in on you Right in on you I get a little tired of having to say "Do you come here often?" But when I look in your eyes and see the harmonies And the heartaches soften
  5. Blue moon you saw me standing alone Without a dream in my heart Without a love of my own Blue moon, you knew just what I was there for You heard me saying a prayer for Someone I really could care for And then there suddenly appeared before me The only one my arms will hold I heard somebody whisper "Please adore me" And when I looked, the moon had turned to gold! Blue moon! Now I'm no longer alone Without a dream in my heart Without a love of my own

  7. Correlation does not imply causation. Unless you’re in.... The Twilight Zone
  8. Well, here I sit high, gettin' ideas Ain't nothing but a fool would live like this Out all night and runnin' wild Woman sittin' home with a month-old child Dang me, dang me They oughta take a rope and hang me High from the highest tree Woman, would you weep for me? Just sittin' around drinkin' with the rest of the guys Six rounds bought, and I bought five And I spent the groceries and half the rent Like fourteen dollars and twenty-seven cents Dang me, dang me They oughta take a rope and hang me High from the highest tree Woman, would you weep for me?
  9. Apologies to anyone with taste in music... I gotta feeling that tonight's gonna be a good night That tonight's gonna be a good night That tonight's gonna be a good, good night Tonight's the night Let's live it up I got my money Let's spend it up Go out and smash it Like oh my God Jump off that sofa Let's get get off I know that we'll have a ball If we get down And go out And just lose it all I feel stressed out I wanna let it go Let's go way out spaced out And losing all control Fill up my cup Mazel Tov Look at her dancing Just take it off Let's paint the town We'll shut it down Let's burn the roof And then we'll do it again

  11. At first I was afraid, I was petrified Kept thinking I could never live without you by my side But then I spent so many nights thinking how you did me wrong And I grew strong And I learned how to get along And so you're back From outer space I just walked in to find you here with that sad look upon your face I should have changed that stupid lock, I should have made you leave your key If I'd known for just one second you'd be back to bother me Go on now, go, walk out the door Just turn around now 'Cause you're not welcome anymore Weren't you the one who tried to hurt me with goodbye Do you think I'd crumble Did you think I'd lay down and die? Oh no, not I, I will survive Oh, as long as I know how to love, I know I'll stay alive I've got all my life to live And I've got all my love to give and I'll survive I will survive, hey, hey
  12. My kids went to state schools for their BS degrees and we covered most of the costs. We had them pay some just so they would feel invested in their own situation. Their MS degrees were paid for by their employers. My son’s fiancé graduated with about $70k in loans, and his best friend graduated with about $50k in loans. Crazy. My niece and nephew were able to go to Florida State for free because their grades and SAT scores were good enough. My brother was pretty relieved when that deal became available.
  13. My son was a pretty good Mike LB on his high school football team. The Coast Guard Academy invited him in for a visit. He wasn’t interested, and I don’t think he would have enjoyed it if he had gone. I worked with a guy whose son went to the Naval Academy and his daughter went to the Coast Guard Academy. We were all jealous, not only because of how impressive that is, but also because he avoided paying for college for his kids.
  14. I think they would step up. I know a few kids who want to get into the service and are having trouble because the requirements are pretty tough. Apparently there are so many kids who want to get in, the services can be somewhat choosy. I bet people will say that they know some flunky looser who got into the service, but that hasn’t been the case from what I’ve been led to believe.
  15. I feel like I waste many good summer days by being “responsible” and doing “constructive” activities. Usually on a gorgeous day I’ll be doing yard work, painting things, washing my car, etc. I’ll go to work and people played golf, or rode their bikes, or went to a fair/festival, or went on a boat, etc. I do those things maybe two or three times all summer. Am I that boring? I think I am.
  16. You got a smile so bright You know you could have been a candle I'm holding you so tight You know you could have been a handle The way you swept me off my feet You know you could've been a broom The way you smell so sweet You know you could've been some perfume Well you could've been anything that you wanted to And I can tell The way you do the things you do The way you do the thing you do, ah baby The way you do the things you do
  17. A little off topic and hard to read, but it’s what immediately popped into my head
  18. You can dance-every dance with the guy Who gives you the eye, let him hold you tight You can smile-every smile for the man Who held your hand neath the pale moon light But don't forget who's takin' you home And in whose arms you're gonna be So darlin' save the last dance for me
  19. This time I'm walkin' to New Orleans I'm walkin' to New Orleans I'm gonna need two pair of shoes When I get through walkin' these blues When I get back to New Orleans I've got my suitcase in my hand Now ain't that a shame? I'm leavin' here today Yes, I'm goin' back home to stay Yes, I'm walkin to New Orleans You used to be my honey Till you spent all my money No use for you to cry I'll see you by and by 'Cause I'm walkin' to New Orleans I've got no time for talkin' I've go to keep a-walkin' New Orleans is my home That's the reason why I'm goin' Yes, I'm walkin' to New Orleans I'm walkin' to New Orleans I'm walkin' to New Orleans
  20. I’m a mild and lazy guy* *not original, but true
  21. I know two people who had their knees replaced. I don’t know the specifics on types of replacements. They didn’t complain too much about rehab and are glad they did it.
  22. All along the fateful coast We moved silent like a ghost The timeless sea of tireless host possessed us The wind came building from the cold northwest And soon the waves began to crest Crashing cross the forward deck All hands lost I alone survived the sinking I alone possessed the tools On that ship of fools
  23. Interesting list. Sylvan Beach versus Darien Lake. That’s quite a contrast. Enchanted Forest has amusement park rides (my kids called that the dry part) and water park rides (the wet part). Nothing great, but fairly convenient from central NY. We used to go there a couple times a year when the kids were little. My son would occasionally go to the water park part into his 20’s.
