  1. If they think they’re having fun, who am I to tell them they’re not?
  2. The Weather Channel has a show about tow trucks on the 401. It looks nasty, and not just in the winter.
  3. On paper this makes sense, in practice it won’t work. Even in the wealthiest towns there are a surprising number of kids who don’t have access to the internet at home. Too many extenuating circumstances to make this a strict policy. Up hill, both ways!
  4. Here comes summer School is out, oh, happy day Here comes summer I'm gonna grab my girl and run away Here comes summer We'll go swimmin' every day And let the sun shine bright on my happy summer home Well, school's not so bad but summer's better It gives me more time to see my girl Walks through the park 'neath the shiny moon When we kiss, she makes my flattop curl It's summer I feel her lips so close to mine Here comes summer When we meet our hearts entwine It's the greatest Let's have summer all the time Oh, let the sun shine bright on my happy summer home
  5. It's magic you know Never believe it's not so It's magic you know Never believe it's not so Never been awake Never seen a day break Leaning on my pillow in the morning Lazy day in bed music in my head Crazy music playing in the morning light It's magic you know Never believe it's not so It's magic you know Never believe it's not so I love my sunny day Dream of far away Dreaming on my pillow in the morning Never been awake Never seen a day break Leaning on my pillow in the morning light
  6. Money money money money, money Some people got to have it Some people really need it Listen to me why'all, do things, do things, do bad things with it You want to do things, do things, do things, good things with it Talk about cash money, money Talk about cash money- dollar bills, why'all For the love of money People will steal from their mother For the love of money People will rob their own brother For the love of money People can't even walk the street Because they never know who in the world they're gonna beat For that lean, mean, mean green Almighty dollar, money For the love of money People will lie, Lord, they will cheat For the love of money People don't care who they hurt or beat For the love of money A woman will sell her precious body For a small piece of paper it carries a lot of weight Call it lean, mean, mean green Almighty dollar
  7. In the mornin' you go gunnin' for the man who stole your water And you fire till he is done in but they catch you at the border And the mourners are all singin' as they drag you by your feet But the hangman isn't hangin' and they put you on the street You go back, Jack, do it again, wheels turinin' 'round and 'round You go back, Jack, do it again When you know she's no high climber then you find your only friend In a room with your two timer, and you're sure you're near the end Then you love a little wild one, and she brings you only sorrow All the time you know she's smilin'; you'll be on your knees tomorrow You go back, Jack, do it again, wheels turinin' 'round and 'round You go back, Jack, do it again Now you swear and kick and beg us that you're not a gamblin' man; Then you find you're back in Vegas with a handle in your hand Your black cards can make you money so you hide them when you're able In the land of milk and honey you must put them on the table You go back, Jack, do it again, wheels turinin' 'round and 'round You go back, Jack, do it again
  8. Time has come today Young hearts can go their way Can't put it off another day I don't care what others say They say we don't listen anyway Time has come today (Hey) Oh The rules have changed today (Hey) I have no place to stay (Hey) I'm thinking about the subway (Hey) My love has flown away (Hey) My tears have come and gone (Hey) Oh my Lord, I have to roam (Hey) I have no home (Hey) I have no home (Hey) Now the time has come (Time) There's no place to run (Time) I might get burned up by the sun (Time) But I had my fun (Time) I've been loved and put aside (Time) I've been crushed by the tumbling tide (Time) And my soul has been psychedelicized (Time)
  9. I looked outside my window and what do you think I saw? The strangest sight I've ever seen you'll never guess just what I mean, I can't believe it myself I saw 2 Buffalos, 2 Buffalos, Buffalos on my lawn, Romping all around and stomping on the ground And all of my grass was gone. I watched them for a while and what do you think I saw? The strangest sight I've ever seen you'll never guess just what I mean I still can't believe it myself! I saw 4 Buffalos, 4 Buffalos Buffalos on my lawn, Romping all around and Stomping on the Ground And all of my grass was gone. Then I began to worry, for what was I supposed to do? The strangest sight I've ever seen, I guess you've guessed just what I mean. Though I can't believe it myself I saw 8 Buffalos, 8 Buffalos, Buffalos on my lawn Romping all around and stomping on the ground and All of my grass was gone. Pretty soon there were 16 Buffalos, 16 Buffalos Buffalos coming in the door Romping all around and stomping on the ground There were Buffalos by the score Looked again and there's 32 Buffalos, 32 Buffalos Buffalos sliding down the stairs Romping all around and stomping on the ground There were buffalos jumping on the chairs. Pretty soon there were 64 Buffalos, 64 Buffalos Buffalos running in my room Romping all around and stomping on the ground Somebody better get a broom 1 Hundred and 28 Buffalos Man that's enough of those Buffalos, jumping in my bed Romping all around and stomping on the ground So this is what I said; You better get out of here Buffalos Get outta here Buffalos Buffalos get outta my bed You've been jumping on things and busting all the springs And I'm gonna shoot you dead I looked out of my window and what do you think I saw The nicest sight I've ever seen I guess you know just what I mean I still can't believe it myself I saw No Buffalos, No Buffalos Buffalos on my lawn Not romping all around or stomping on the ground But all of my grass was gone.
  10. I'm ridin' in your car You turn on the radio You're pullin' me close I just say no I say I don't like it But you know I'm a liar 'Cause when we kiss, ooh Fire Late at night You're takin' me home You say you want to stay I say I want to be alone I say I don't love you But you know I'm a liar 'Cause when we kiss, ooh Fire You had a hold on me right from the start A grip so tight I couldn't tear it apart My nerves all jumpin', actin' like a fool Well, your kisses they burn, but my heart stays cool
  11. Well, I'm hot blooded, check it and see I got a fever of a hundred and three Come on baby, do you do more than dance? I'm hot blooded, I'm hot blooded You don't have to read my mind, to know what I have in mind Honey you oughta know Now you move so fine, let me lay it on the line I wanna know what you're doin' after the show Now it's up to you, we can make a secret rendezvous Just me and you, I'll show you lovin' like you never knew
  12. I should have known You'd bid me farewell There's a lesson to be learned from this And I learned it very well Now I know you're not the only starfish in the sea If I never hear your name again It's all the same to me And I think, It's gonna be alright Yeah, The worst is over now The mornin' sun is shining Like a red rubber ball You never care For secrets I confide For you I'm just an ornament Something for your pride Always running, never caring That's the life you live Stolen minutes of your time Were all you had to give And I think It's gonna be alright Yeah The worst is over now The mornin' sun is shining Like a red rubber ball
  13. As I walk along, I wonder A what went wrong with our love A love that was so strong And as I still walk on I think of the thing's we've done Together, while our hearts were young I'm a walkin' in the rain Tears are fallin' and I feel a pain A wishin' you were here by me To end this misery And I wonder, I wa wa wa wa wonder Why a why why why why why She ran away And I wonder where she will stay My little runaway My run run run run runaway
  14. A playoff game can degenerate to direct kicks to declare a winner. I would rather see a sudden death format. But I’m not a hardcore soccer fan, so my preferences aren’t important.
  15. My daughter had a friend in grad school who was from India. He couldn’t understand why popularity was tied to athletic ability in the US. In his school, popularity was tied to the ability to help you with your homework.
  16. I’m not thrilled to see a victory via penalty kicks. I’m just a dumb ‘merican and I like to see scores as a part of the flow of the game. Kind of like deciding a basketball game with free throws, or a football game with a field goal. Yes, it’s part of the game and it’s suspenseful, but I personally like to see scores as a result of teamwork and speed during the course of the game.
  17. If you want someone To make you feel so fine Then we'll have some fun When you're mine, all mine So come, come on, come on Little child, little child Little child, won't you dance with me? I'm so sad and lonely Baby, take a chance with me When you're by my side You're the only one Don't you run and hide Just come on, come on Yeah, come on, come on, come on
  18. To my surprise, one hundred stories high People getting loose y'all, getting down on the roof Folks are screaming, out of control It was so entertaining when the boogie started to explode I heard somebody say disco inferno (Burn baby burn) burn that mother down (Burn baby burn) disco inferno (Burn baby burn) burn that mother down Satisfaction came in a chain reaction (Burnin') I couldn't get enough, so I had to self-destruct The heat was on, rising to the top Everybody going strong, and that is when my spark got hot
  19. Yeah You are my fire The one desire Believe when I say I want it that way But we are two worlds apart Can't reach to your heart When you say That I want it that way Tell me why Ain't nothin' but a heartache Tell me why Ain't nothin' but a mistake Tell me why I never want to hear you say I want it that way
  20. The song is over It's all behind me I should have known it She tried to find me Our love is over They're all ahead now I've got to learn it I'm gonna to sing out I'll sing my song to the wide open spaces I'll sing my heart out to the infinite sea I'll sing my visions to the sky high mountains I'll sing my song to the free, to the free I'll sing my song to the wide open spaces I'll sing my heart out to the infinite sea I'll sing my visions to the sky high mountains I'll sing my song to the free, to the free
  21. Stayed in bed all mornin' just to pass the time There's somethin' wrong here, there can be no denyin' One of us is changin', or maybe we've just stopped tryin' And it's too late, baby now, it's too late Though we really did try to make it Somethin' inside has died, and I can't hide And I just can't fake it, oh, no, no It used to be so easy, livin' here with you You were light and breezy, an' I knew just what to do Now you look so unhappy, and I feel like a fool

  23. There’s a Talley Wacker joke in there somewhere. I was was going to add Buffy, Billie, and Libby (Billy with some letters swapped) to my uninspiring list of suggestions. Oh well, never mind.
